Oh gin - sorry about the crap sleep. That's awful. Did it worsen with the HRT do you think, or do you think it's not related? Also, boooo to rubbish sales purchases...
And nink - So sorry you've been feeling down. I agree with the comments of others re self care (and not reaching for the temporary high of the credit card
) and not being too hard on yourself when your mood causes you to react in a way you wouldn't otherwise. We've all been there... Hope your house work has helped a bit today, and tomorrow is another day and all that. I'd echo others' comments that you're such a wise voice on the thread, and you are my sandals muse
. yy - such a cute bag by the way - but there will be other bags, and you can view it as money "saved"!
Also, fuzzy - sorry you've been struggling too. I agree with soy - just get the good aqua shoes...they will last longer and you won't have to keep throwing them away, so you're basically saving money!
In fact
for all 3 of you, and anyone else struggling with physical or mental things at the moment. And possibly some
.
huff love that tunic even though it is poly... and the sparkly jacket! If the tunic doesn't work (or is too sweaty..) , could you mock up something similar to your friend's outfit with the one hundred star kimono? It feels like a similar vibe. And also love soups Mango dress. That's really pretty. It reminds me a bit of the hush lupin (?) one with the frill sleeves and the pretty ditsy print. Also dinky -so glad the bikini works for you! Swimwear is a constant battle finding something that works (and isn't cut for someone with no boobs at all..)
ella - love those crew espadrilles. But, yes, definitely best to try some on! Not helpful to you, but I got some very similar ones in a lovely sage green years ago from BHS of all places (crap clothes, surprisingly good footwear...) that come out ever year and have lasted really well. Also, I got some from M&S in the sale a couple of years ago (to replace the BHS ones if anything ever happened to them...!) but they weren't as comfy for me and went in a recent clothes cull -though may be worth having a look this year.
never - hope Cornwall is treating you well! And cherries - so annoying about the web glitches. Nothing else to suggest really...have you asked MNHQ on the Site Stuff page?
soy - yes, I need to join you on the bench - though I'm still waiting for some toast stuff to arrive! That is definitely it though... I agree with you that no matter how ethically something is made, it's better not to be made at all in environmental terms. And i could survive a nuclear holocaust for around a decade with all my clothes at the moment, I think...
Though of course, having said that, the star culottes came and I love them. They are a bit - um - pyjama-esque (?) on me I think, though sadly, I'm no longer convinced that is a bad thing! (Home working, we love you). They do hang really nicely, and are pretty versatile top-wise. So I think I'll keep (will do a photo tomorrow but didn't get a chance today...had to go out just after trying them on). Not sure about the linen wide top. I ordered an S which is what I have in the normal wide top, but it seemed a bit tight on the arms and a bit clingy on the hips (and I know linen loosens off with wear, but still). I do like the idea though, and I love that knitted linen as long as I wash it properly so it doesn't warp on me and the colour so I've asked for an exchange in the M and will see how that goes.
