Anyone else an Autumn in their colour analysis?

I received my colour analysis today & while I haven’t read it properly yet I saw that I’m an autumn!

I must be seriously late to the colour analysis game because all the Mumsnet autumn threads are super old 🙈 so hoping we can start a new one!

Would love to hear tips from fellow Autumns!

Ooh I’ve found my people! I’m a dark blue Autumn, I’ve also had my styling done and I’m a Gamine classic. I have to push myself not to rely on navy to be honest. I really love kingfisher blue, forest green, purple (amethyst shade), also surprised myself by getting a mustard scarf which gained me loads of compliments. I overhauled my wardrobe after getting my colours done 2 1/2 years ago but I also went back for my styling 6 months ago because I still struggled to know why flattered me clothes wise. Getting there now I think.

Jewellery is difficult for me, I don’t like anything too big or heavy but I really like some Tatty Devine pieces, I bought the Autumn leave necklace which I love and a gold star with red stones.

Thanks for the Facebook group mention, I’ve requested to join!

Eyeshadow - my faves are 2 ABH palettes - Modern Renaissance & soft & glam. There are colours I use as liner & enough variations for say/eve & the pigment is great.

Also kiko eyeliner in no 6 a v dark brown, it's great, lasts all day. They have a lot of other colours too. I also have a nice By Terry gold eyeliner that works well.

Mac lady danger is the tomato red that I have about 20 lippies close to but it is a good one to try!

Just bought these gorgeous earrings (green is my absolute favourite colour so I’m ecstatic that dark greens are good for autumns!!). I think they would look lovely if I was wearing an off white top, even a mustard or rust top (anything except burgundy I think 🤔) I have very green eyes so greens help them pop too. What do you all think??

(As I’ve bought these I’ll have to hold off buying the Stila Starlight eyeshadow until next month!).

@FaithInfinity I love Missoma for gold jewellery or if you want more colour / something a bit more budget friendly I’m finding some lovely bits in Accessorize & Oliver Bonas for our colours

Literally planning my outfits for later in the week so I can wear my new earrings 😂😂😂 I've decided that I’m not going to stop wearing black/grey completely. I won’t buy anything new, but I do already own some bits that I love such as a light grey cashmere poncho which looks fabulous with black jeans, or dark grey patterned leggings which look fabulous with the other colours in my palette. I’ll just need to be clever with my accessories- brighten things up with jewellery, bags & shoes in the right colours. I’ve got some really wonderful jewellery recently in the right colours - time to move on to bags?? Grin

I was gifted this gorgeous headband for my birthday. It has some colours from my autumn palette- the greens, a little mustard & off white completely ignoring the black bits Looks fab with an off white top & medium blue jeans

Oooops, popped into M&S during lunch and the following items fell into my basket:

Olive sundress with big brown buttons
Olive skinny leggings
Wrap top in cream/ black/ olive stripe
Plain vests in rust and black (the black one to go under the wrap stripey)
Dinky little tortoiseshell hoops (inspired by the tortoiseshell love above)

Of, almost forgot, on my way to the till I spotted a teal duster coat in the wrong place. And I had to go and find it in my size, as that is one of my key colours.

I HAVE just had a bit of a clearout of non-working colours, including a yellow coat that was verging too much on acid lemon rather than acceptable dusty mustard.

Sounds like a great Autumnal 🍂 shopping haul @SegregateMumBev!! As soon as I’m back in shape after DS2 arrives I’ll be doing another wardrobe clear out if only so I have the excuse to buy new clothes! I have a personal shopping session booked with a stylist in March so I’ll need space for that! I’m pleased my obsession love of tortoiseshell has inspired you!

So I’ve fallen in love with a gorgeous bag. I was on the hunt for a tan every day bag to replace my current black crossbody camera bag. DC have their own bag attached to the pram & I like to have my essentials on me (phone, purse, keys). This isn’t a crossbody bag but oh I’m in love. Could I make it work instead of a crossbody???

It has a 55cm drop so technically I can wear it as a crossbody bag but is it too big to be worn that way? Here’s a pic of it in black to show you the size

Love that bag in the tan - wouldn't work for me as too structured a shape for my style though.

I love coach for bags as they often do gold hardware & I wouldn't buy anything with silver now!

Your earrings are lovely-they look like malachite which I adore but not sure if it's technically autumn as some of the lighter green in the stripes are quite springy. I'd still wear it though. I tend to prefer real gold as costume jewellery irritates me, however there are a lot of good Perspex costume earrings in high st shops at the mo. eBay is good for cheap scarves....

SpeckledyHen · 13/07/2019 07:57

The only way to know Happy is to give it a try. It looks too big and structured to me but you never know it might be right for your style.
