Anyone else an Autumn in their colour analysis?

I received my colour analysis today & while I haven’t read it properly yet I saw that I’m an autumn!

I must be seriously late to the colour analysis game because all the Mumsnet autumn threads are super old 🙈 so hoping we can start a new one!

Would love to hear tips from fellow Autumns!

You’ll love these @NottonightJosepheen, my MIL has bought them for my birthday next month: www.lkbennett.com/product/AEJASMINEACETATEMultiTortoise%20Shell~Jasmine-Tortoise-Shell-Drop-Earrings-Tortoise%20Shell

You'll definitely be able to find a headband Josepheen. They are everywhere right now. A nice way to dip your toe in the animal print trend.

I’m 30w pregnant atm & recently discovered the utter joy of wearing jumpsuits! I’m hoping to live in jumpsuits once DS2 is here & from what I’ve seen online, they do seem to come in the autumn colours I like such as khaki & terracotta.

I KNOW I’m not supposed to wear grey but try & find a maternity jumpsuit which isn’t black or grey or crazy expensive! So I decided to team it up with my new tortoiseshell Accessorize necklace for a pathetic attempt to include some autumn colours 😂

Just realised there were 2 Oliver Bonas scarves linked to earlier! I was talking about the blackish one rather than the green one.

Grey is funny - pale silvery greys are awful on me, especially if they have a pinkish hue. But dark warmer charcoals are pretty good.

I'm having a mini pop-up colour analysis session at work today, hoping we can all find one super colour and one to avoid.

SegregateMumBev · 27/06/2019 13:32

Inspired by MrsG's outfit description above, today I'm trialling:

Teal dress
Wide belt in chocolate leather
Tan flats
Navy bag
Stud earrings from Heathergems in a brown/cream mix

Lightweight scarf in soft blush/ apricot (not a brilliant base colour) with teal and brown accents.

happytobemrsg · 27/06/2019 20:23

Would never fit me in a million years because I have insanely tiny wrists, but how gorgeous is this bangle from Anthropology?!?

I really enjoyed wearing my tortoise shell necklace today. Already thinking of buying another in case this one tarnishes (at £5 I think it would be rude not to).

@SegregateMumBev how was your colour analysis today?? Was it helpful? Your outfit today sounds lovely & much more autumnal than mine! I have to revert back to my non-autumn colours I think for tomorrow’s outfit. I had a mini meltdown getting my clothes ready for today & hardly anything fit. It’s so frustrating. When I’m wearing nice clothes I really do walk taller, smile more, just feel better. So having to chuck on clothes using the sole criteria being that they fit is so disheartening.

I've just bought this bargain skirt from H&M, great colours, it falls lovely and great quality pleated midi skirt

Think I'll get lots of wear out of it, trainers for day and wedges to dress it up a bit.

happytobemrsg · 27/06/2019 22:07

That’s beautiful @Whyknot. I’d love a pleated skirt. They look so effortlessly chic. But I’m pear shaped & always worried they made me look bigger than I am (size 10/12).

Bought some lovely earrings today (pay day treat!)

MY latest finds............. I am an autumn of some sort... probably dark as black works with autumn colours for me.

Would love some highstreet lipstick recommendations for a coppery/ brick shade if anyone has any?

I'm a deep warm autumn. I hated all the murky colours in the wheel when I was advised and really struggled with it. I had 50% of my wardrobe was black and kept about 10%.
I've learned to love the greens, browns, terracotta and mustard. I stick with tan leather bags and shoes, although I have some in green, nude and burgundy.
I started with a pinterest board for ideas.

WalkAwaySugarbear · 29/06/2019 20:05

I also had to throw out my silver jewellery and replace with gold.

Have got these to try too.. to wear with these clogs

Good to see some more people on the thread (I thought I was talking to myself for a while there 😂)!

Thinking of ordering this dark green maternity dress - do you think it’ll work as an autumn colour? It’ll definitely look lovely with my new gold jewellery & tan sandals.

@PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair great finds! I especially like the rust & mustard tops. That monsoon dress is lovely as well.

I’m exactly the same as you @WalkAwaySugarbear. Lots of blacks & greys in my wardrobe. I can’t buy much in the way of clothes right now but I’m embracing accessories in my colours. I’ve fallen hard for tortoiseshell 😂 but I have been purposely avoiding black & grey/silver in all my new buys. I’ve also got a Pinterest board (link is further up the thread)

Love the green dress.
I've bought a couple of long tunics from primary of all places in moss green and bottle green today - they look with my brown leggings and tan sandals.

PoshNorthEssex · 30/06/2019 14:44

Following! Autumn leaf here. I stick to colours pretty religiously and do find that, colour-wise, everything in my wardrobe goes with everything else which I really enjoy. Tip from my analyst was if you think two colours don't look great together, add a third which somehow brings things together.

happytobemrsg · 30/06/2019 14:45

New Look bits have arrived. The rust dress isn’t great. It was all screwed up from the packaging which didn’t bode well. It was more of a tomato red than rust & was very thin (could see every seam from my bra). That’ll go back. The green leopard print dress is lovely though! So comfy & when I tie it at the back gives me a nice shape too (not just “tent” like a lot of maternity dresses). Looks fabulous with my tan sandals & straw/tan bag. Will hopefully wear it for my birthday next week.

Tortoiseshell bag will arrive later today & dark green dress later this week.

That’s what I’m looking forward to @PoshNorthEssex!

Oh your new wardrobe bits sound great MrsG! I've printed off one of the Pinterest colour chars, and I'm off to see if anything in my wardrobe can be culled.

DH back from Vegas with a watch for me white wrist band (hmmm) but with rose gold fittings, so I hope it'll looks good with some outfits.

happytobemrsg · 30/06/2019 17:05

Well the bag arrived & it’s getting some very mixed views on S&B. Apparently I’ve bought the marmite bag 😂

@SegregateMumBev oh you’ll have fun getting rid of all those bits which don’t suit you anymore & even more fun getting new fits
