Sealife Safari from Padstow was good if a bit pricey for a family. The speedboat trip from there is fun too...about £7.50 pp I think.

Ferry Padstow to Rock, walk along the dunes/Greenway to Polzeath and have an ice cream from ConeZone, the best ice creams ever.

FuzzyPuffling · 04/07/2019 19:24

Camel Trail...veer off at Camel Valley Winery and have a glass of fizz. S'lovely!

FuzzyPuffling · 04/07/2019 19:25

Bodmin and Launceston Steam Railway if you're that way inclined.

And there's always the zip wire!

FuzzyPuffling · 04/07/2019 19:32

Tintagel Castle.
Port William pub at Trebarwith Strand (fab beach with excellent rockpools)

twosoups1972 · 04/07/2019 19:33

Teddy bear shop in Padstow. I’ll never forget the time dd3 took sooooo long to choose a teddy, the shop owner actually thought we’d left and come back. She couldn’t believe we’d been there the whole time while I waited patiently while dd chose 😂

Ellapaella · 04/07/2019 20:12

Oh I love the lost gardens of heligan, one of my absolute favourite places. Totally magical.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/07/2019 20:22

Fantastic. Thank you all :)

SoyYo · 04/07/2019 20:27

Well all the talk about Cornwall hols and magical places is making me wish we were going there on hols!Smile
Glad you’re pleased with your new haircut too never. Nothing like a good hair day to make us feel all is well with the world 💇🏻‍♀️

Ninkaninus · 04/07/2019 20:42

Heyyyy hushistas! 🌺🌻🌷🌼🌸🌹

Haven’t read back very far but had to say soy and cherries you both look great!! Big thumbs up on outfits! 👍

soy I blame you for further spending - i have earnt back over and above what I spent on the bag by selling on eBay, so a few days ago I decided to get the broderie top from the White Company and I spent ages (well, half a day at least 😉) deliberating and deciding between the black or the white and finally decided on the white. But then this morning I saw how nice the black one looked on you and I had to have that too... 🙄🙄 But they are so pretty, so easy to wear, and they look quite dressy too whilst being relaxed. I think the black one will look great with the yellow Boden espadrilles.

Just back from long sticky day in Leeds, one meeting after another. Something about my bald head intrigues the people of Leeds. I have noticed before that I get LOTS of sideway looks there, but in Newcastle no one blinks. Then on a very crowded train home, with the seat reservations cancelled the middle aged guy next to me sat fidgeting and manspreading. I glanced at his laptop and the minger was sitting on a packed commuter train watching porn. What is that about? I gave him my best old lady death stare and flounce, and when I got off at Darlington I told the conductor. Horrible.

Thanks for all the nice comments, I’m playing about with Scandi style just now, it’s so comfy! I would love to go to Stockholm, sure it will be ace.

Glad you like your new hair, never, but what a palaver. Gorgeous, gorgeous sunset, Laska. soy, really nice top.

Hi to everyone I missed, off to catch up.

Ellapaella · 04/07/2019 22:41

@SoyYo had to scroll back as realised I've missed your last three pictures, looking good! 😍 love it all, absolutely love the blue animal print tee especially

SoyYo · 04/07/2019 23:06

I’m in bed catching up. Shattered, long work day and Pilates this eve finished me off even though it was outdoors on the grass in the late evening sun (feeling virtuous as my twice weekly sessions). I’m doing a slackers sorry...beginners...class on Tuesday and intermediate to advanced on Thursdays. First one to stretch and think ooh I’m good at this and second to challenge me and remind myself I’m bottom of the class again Grin

Oh sorry nink about the WC broderie but really such a beautiful top! High quality, and as you said: super versatile to dress up/down. Tbh my appalling selfie didn’t show it off in its full glory. Black will look fab you’re right with yellow as well as white 👍 now I’ll blame you if I end up with the white version! 🤣 and great news on the ebaying too!

Ella thank you my Hush friend! Yes also highly recommend the linen leopard T as well! (Sorry!)

cherries I’m Shock at that horrible sordid man in a crowded train watching porn...wtaf? Unbelievable. Glad you got home safe and other than sitting next to a degenerate you had a successful if rather long day. Yes the Scandi vibe really suits you.
Which reminds me my Gudrun Sjoden parcel and last sale purchase will be arriving tomorrow. Yeay! It’ll all be mad printed things so don’t expect cool Scandi looks like yours Grin

One last thing I watched bbc4 royal wardrobe documentary this eve and I recommend as highly entertaining hour looking through royal fashion from Elizabeth Tudor to the current Elizabeth. The things people used to wear!! Specially high status people!
The whale bone corsets and the hoops and layers and layers of restrictive clothing. shudders But for sure they knew a thing or two about statement dressing!

justilou1 · 05/07/2019 01:59

I’m sorry you didn’t have a scalding cup of tea or coffee to hurl into his lap, or some icy cold water (“you seem to be uncomfortable there, you filthy pig”) and maybe his computer too, @ilovecherries! How do people think that’s an appropriate time and place to be doing that???

justilou1 · 05/07/2019 02:01

@Soy, I love those documentaries!!! I went to the Hermitage Museum just to look at the clothes. (Teeeeeeeeny silk shoes in millions of colours like boiled sweets!!!) I was in raptures until I started contemplating hygiene, etc.... How the hell did they not all stink? Maybe they didn’t notice because everyone stank?

whiskyremorse · 05/07/2019 06:18

@cherries you've put that look together just right

whiskyremorse · 05/07/2019 06:18

@cherries you've put that look together just right

GinandGingerBeer · 05/07/2019 08:33

Ugh cherries that's disgraceful. I'm on a train right now and it's making me suspicious Grin
I'd like to think I'd have stood up & said very loudly 'do you really think watching porn on a train is acceptable?' So everyone in the carriage heard. In reality I might not have been brave enough but then again, I am a northern lass Wink
I've had a tricky week work wise and I'm glad it's Friday.
Gin may be involved later!!
I have a new addition to my collection (thank you dH) cloudy lemon or something?
Here's to the weekend! Gin

dontcallmelen · 05/07/2019 09:23

Ewww cherries that’s really horrible😡

ilovecherries · 05/07/2019 09:45

Is it just. I was stuck in the inside seat and the trained was packed with people standing in the aisle so I couldn’t really get out and didn’t want to tackle him when I was jammed in. Conductor said he would check and if he was using train WiFi it’s actually an offence. Anyway, just about to head back to Leeds for phase 2. Today’s Scandi offering is Keira culottes, black Boden double front vest and Cos cotton jacket.

Ellapaella · 05/07/2019 10:21

You look great cherries
You have great restraint not saying anything to the dirty train perv... what a creep. 🤢

ilovecherries · 05/07/2019 11:08

Can anyone recommend a rollable Panama? My scalp just isn’t happy but I like to lay off hair in the summer. I’m having just enough patchy regrowth atm to make sunscreen a pita. I don’t like turning up for meetings with a big sunhat in my hands, plus they are a nuisance on public transport as well. Nor do I want to wear the charmingly called chemo caps.

Ninkaninus · 05/07/2019 11:12

I can’t personally recommend but I’m sure I saw a few good options on the JL website with good reviews as well.

ilovecherries · 05/07/2019 11:20

JL! Why didn’t I think of the obvious! Off to look. :)

Ninkaninus · 05/07/2019 11:23

Smile I can’t remember for sure if they were specifically Panama hats though...

ilovecherries · 05/07/2019 11:36

Hmm, doesn’t say if they are foldable though. I always thought that was a feature of Panama hats, and therefore wouldn’t necessarily be mentioned because it’s a given, but apparently the Hush ones aren’t rollable. I will see if I have time to dash to JL in Leeds once I’m finished working, and ask someone. I’ve looked online, but lots of places don’t accept returns of hats so it could be an expensive mistake, given the price of a real one.
