That’s great news never Smile
Vicks works every time 👍

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 22:39

Well you would think so @soyo but I am now just about dying with hayfever!! Cant win!

ilovecherries · 01/07/2019 22:45

I’m still at home, never, so not so far away from you, and I am so itchy I want to rip my chest off. It’s only on my chest, neck and arms, but it is driving me mad.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 22:47

Oh no cherries. Poor you. I have had to take an antihistamine. Its really bad here. I think its the wind. Its been really blustery. Its also quite cold now! where is the summer gone??? Come back...

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 22:55

@SoyYo - did you stick with the grey on your hair? I remember you thinking about just letting it go grey. Just wondered if you succumbed to the dye!
I frequently want to go grey but I chicken out time and time again cause the stripe makes me feel so shabby.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/07/2019 08:12

I see there are a few new things on the hush website😁

Laska2Meryls · 02/07/2019 09:51

Yes it's dreadful having to make the final decision about pets. I nearly ( and perhaps did ) really leave it too late with our beloved dpusscat, and then my DM died a few weeks later , it may sound awful but at the time I don't know who I was most upset for .. (I still think the combination of losing two such dear ones so close together has knocked me back dreadfully since .. oh dear I mustn't cry on holiday ..) .
Right.. back to business.
Never I am in Pelion ( Greek mainland, nearest island Skiathos) it's utterly gorgeous here, but really very quiet compared to islands .and once again we have been talking buying out here..

new stuff. Some things I like the poppy maxi is gorgeous, I could see me wearing it here this evening! But do expensive compared to huffs v similar style dress ( which I love btw, but couldn't see on the m&s website sadly
I also like the black wide legs and will order those when I get back. Or sooner if they ever reduce that leopard vest top!
The button through straps dress is also nice, but not formynorks sadly.
Cherries I have the wrens in 10 they do come up big
Everyone looks good in the red skirt.. l saw it in J L but didn't try it at the time.. ah well.I have tons of skirts..
I know there's more to answer, but sunbed beckons 😁 so Hi all xx

Tearing up thinking about that time of a pet’s life. One that has had me looking for someone else to be the grownup several times now. (Of course there wasn’t anyone else available at the time, was there? Sod’s Law and all that...) I do hope your puppy picks up, @Cherries!!!
Red skirt is gorgeous, ladies!!! Such a happy skirt!!!

SoyYo · 02/07/2019 14:28

Ooh yes from the new collection I like the turquoise ombré cotton jumper and their new Kensington dress version too but I’m not buying (for now). I’ve just received in post my sale T shirts: pink “good times ahead” (great), turquoise v neck slub T (another lovely colour to add to my collection) and leopard turquoise scoop neck T (super flattering).
All keepers I’m sorry to report! Blush so that’s it for me till next month....(famous last words)...I also received the WC Black broderie top and a lace vest from their sale and they’re both keepers too.
AND also got some jersey trousers/top from the Gudrun Sjoden sale so you see...I’ve been bad bad bad. I haven’t received the Gudrun stuff yet.

Hi to justi and laska (yes buy in Greece! It’ll be heaven).

never I’m changing my mind about the grey. I’m not grey enough really, it’s more salt n pepper but basically still quite dark and my white hairs are a bit unruly (more so than my normal curls). I don’t have a stripe but fancy a change...thinking of low lights to blend in with the grey and low maintenance...

ilovecherries · 02/07/2019 15:10

I’ve ordered a pair of the white moritz. I’ve been trying on white crops for month looking for the perfect pair, and every time I wear the blue ones I’ve been sighing ‘if only they did these in white’. So as I appear to have cosmically ordered them, decided I should physically do so as well. Just hoping it’s not one of those instances where the same items in diff colours are wildly different - I find Boden quite bad for that. But I think that’s all I want - and it’s catering to a proper gap rather than sparkly object syndrome. Talking of Boden, I’m waiting for a substantial refund from them. According to tracking they received it last Tuesday, so it’s unusually long for them.

SoyYo · 02/07/2019 15:19

@cherries strange on Boden refund, give them a call as they’re usually very prompt.
Well done on the white trousers (I like your cosmic ordering!) and I need a dose of sparkly object syndrome realism (looking at my new good times ahead T shirt which has very very sparkly lettering Grin)

twosoups1972 · 02/07/2019 15:19

Oh gosh I am so behind in only a few days!

We had a mad busy weekend what with dd1's leavers' ball (which was fab) and then the next day we packed up the car and she left the school for good! She was a bit sad to say goodbye to her friends but knowing she's now got a year at home before uni makes it seem not so final.

@neveradullmoment99 glad you managed to go, hooray for Vicks!

@ilovecherries you look great in the red skirt and you have such a nice dad! How is your dog? We have a cat and I totally get how much we love our pets and want the best for them. I hope she isn't in too much pain and I wish her (and you) well.

Trying to book some sort of summer holiday. Very frustrating! What with the dds have various commitments over the summer, plus needing to be back for GCSE and A Level results at the end of August, our window for going on holiday was already quite small. And now realising that dd3 has dance rehearsals for dancing at Disneyland Paris EVERY SUNDAY ALL SUMMER LONG, the window is even smaller. Just waiting to find out if she can miss one rehearsal so we can have a 9/10 night holiday. If not, it will have to be 6 days. Feel sorry for poor dh who works long hours and needs a proper break.

Anyway in the meantime we might book a few days to go to Stockholm in July when dd3 breaks up from school.

justilou1 · 02/07/2019 15:28

Waves to @SoyYo!!! I'm off to bed! Waiting until tomorrow morning to hear about your latest adventures!

dontcallmelen · 02/07/2019 16:04

Ooh Soy the haul sounds lovely me & you both on the sparkly realism😂 yy the ombré jumper, I also like the pink strap top but is silly money.
cherries hope ddog a bit better, I was wondering who was going to be quick on the white moritz they did seem really popular in the blue Yy give boden a call, they are usually so reliable for being quick with the refunds.
Soups sounds like you all had a lovely time, crikey the holiday timings sounds very complicated, Good luck with trying to sort it.

Ellapaella · 02/07/2019 19:06

Loving the red skirts! You all look great. Perfect with the denim jackets too.
Cherries keeping my fingers crossed for your ddog xx

I went into Boots on my way home to get my usual a Clarins facial bronzer and came away with a bag full of free goodies! So pleased. The lady behind the counter must have had a very quiet day as she just kept giving me more and more freebies

SoyYo · 02/07/2019 19:29

Your lucky day Ella! So nice of her 👌 I have a Clarins bronzer pot but frightened of turning my body orange...maybe I should give it a Go.

soups glad to read the weekend was a success! Don’t envy you the hols planning though, hope you find something good soon...

len yes our magpie tendencies! I’ll never learn! (Unlike dear cherries)

Ellapaella · 02/07/2019 19:59

Going by the amounts of anti wrinkle and firming creams she's given me I think she probably thought I need all the help I can get @SoyYo - she must have felt sorry for me 😁

ilovecherries · 02/07/2019 20:12

We are back in England now. DD has a few days without work and I think she was feeling a bit flat and kept saying things like ‘I’d come with you if it wasn’t so far’. So I said that if she wanted to come, I would pay her rail fare home on Thursday. She and her rucksack were in my car with alacrity 😂. Dog seems a bit brighter, is very skinny and was very reluctant to get out of the car at Gretna services, but has eaten her personal crack cocaine (frozen peas) out of her bowl which is the first time she’s really eaten by herself for a week, so fingers crossed.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/07/2019 20:24

Loving all the freebies @Ellapaella
I just don't buy expensive stuff any more. I have bough all sort in the past and cba being loyal to anyone! I buy online and atm its some loreal stuff with retinol that I got at the supermarket. Love aldi lacura caviar cream and I am looking forward to the aldi that will be in our area come September/October!
@cherries, you don't half get around!!!

twosoups1972 · 02/07/2019 20:48

@ilovecherries forgot to say congratulations on your dd’s graduation, hope you all had a wonderful day. What did you wear in the end? (Apologies if you’ve already said). Hope your dd is feeling ok. Never heard of a dog eating frozen peas before Grin, hope she’s ok too.

SoyYo · 02/07/2019 20:50

never see my tricolour hair? Not a great look so I’ve gone off going grey (for now). This is 18 months growth with no dye. I still have old dye on ends plus roots salt n pepper. I only get away with it because my curls disguise it a bit but if I was 80% grey I would stick to it.
As it is I found a curly girl hairdresser (trained by the guru of curly girls Lorraine Massey) in my area and going to see her Thursday after work for a dye test before the cut/colour two weeks from now.
I was thinking reddish low lights to blend in the grey at the roots but still leaving some out for the world to see my “wisdom” or shall I just go for a semi perm shade close to my natural colour? (brown with reddish tones) Hmm
Excuse the appalling selfie I was pointing the iPhone where I couldn’t see what I was doing!

GinandGingerBeer · 02/07/2019 20:53

Haha. I'm feeling a bit better now as I was given wrinkle smoothing eye cream night cream and day cream at the glaring counter the other day. (Teeny tiny ones though, you did better than I did Ella!)
On the beauty front I received this today from Next. Only £12. It does have two self tan products in it so if that's not your bag then it won't be for you. I'm a sucker for a mini and the mini hip flask of hair oil is so dinky. God I'm a sucker GrinGrin
Glad ddog has picked up Cherries. Our scar was pts by the vet while we were in the states a couple of years ago. He'd been poorly for a while but every time we made the decision it was time, it was like he knew and he'd suddenly get a new lease of life... I felt awful though... we didn't get chance to say goodbye.

SoyYo · 02/07/2019 20:54

LOL Ella I’m sure you just charmed her and it wasn’t your wrinkles Grin

As for dogs eating frozen peas as a treat Grin glad you’ve got DD with you cherries she sounds like such a lovely girl and great company too.

SoyYo · 02/07/2019 20:58

Ooh gin is the bake stuff self tanning towels? I got 4 as freebies but like the Clarins self tan pot frightened to use in case I become a humpaa lumpa (or whatever those orange midgets are called), if yes and you try please report back Smile

GinandGingerBeer · 02/07/2019 21:00
