Looking good @goodluckandgodspeed 👏
I think I'm well and truly done on the summer clothes front, I'm keeping my eye out in the sales for anything that will take me into autumn. I've not worn half my summer stuff this year, and really don't need any more!
Back to work tomorrow then I only have 3 weeks and I'm off for the 6 weeks hols, which is going to be a bit boring if we don't manage to get away.
Can't really afford it but I do keep having a sneaky peak at flights...
Have a good day everyone, glad DDs graduation went well @cherries.
Wishing I was In Greece @Laska

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 13:50

My older ds has just touched down in Italy. He text me this morning to say its boiling! Ah well.... Its not too bad here. Very very windy but sunny.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 13:50

and a LOT cooler when the sun hides behind a cloud.

Ellapaella · 01/07/2019 13:55

@ilovecherries your poor doggy - hope not bad news at the vets xx
@goodluckandgodspeed looking very lovely. Love the outfit and the bag is fab.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 14:12

Nice outfit @goodluckandgodspeed

SoyYo · 01/07/2019 15:14

goodluck it really does look great on you! Relaxed yet still put together vibe.

goodluckandgodspeed · 01/07/2019 15:50

Thanks - I love the trousers. They are so comfortable it’s a little like wearing my pyjamas but outside of the house 😂
What are the shoes like? There’s some sandals I’m really tempted by.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 16:11

Most of the shoes/boots i have had have been very good quality. The flatform slides [a bit like birkenstock - the sole wore down really quickly so be wary of that and they are also quite heavy] Saying that, they are beautifully made.

NotAnActualSheep · 01/07/2019 16:49

Hello all...I've got horribly behind on the thread again...school summer hols have started, and i had forgotten how exhausting they are til we get into the swing of not doing anything with DS... Have just been to see a truly awful film (bit of a mixed bag weather wise today). That was a couple of hours I'm not getting back.

Loving all your photos and hearing how you are all getting on as usual. laska I'm sooooo jealous of your beautiful holiday cottage. It looks so idyllic. And also the lovely view from soup's hotel (hope the ball went well!) and huff's beautiful wedding get-up (Hope DS coped and is feeling better now). But I didn't realise those dresses were now in the sale...and i can't be arsed with sending (another) one back and reordering, frankly. Grrrr.

soy - glad your mission went well Grin even in the heat. yy, prague is fab. I'd love to go back (I went for a break over Christmas with my DPs about 15 years ago), but bizarrely DH isn't too keen - I think he thinks it'll all be stag-dos...pah. Sorry to hear your ankle was playing up though - hope a bit of relaxing over the weekend has sorted it.

never - I'm so glad you felt well enough to go to the cocktail party in the end...sounds like you had a great time! And i wish you would stop linking to those novesta trainers! They are gorgeous, and every time I go on the website I see them and think they are lovely but have to tell myself I really don't need them - even though they are pretty reasonably priced (for toast!).

cherries - glad the graduation went well - you must have been so proud! Glitterball

ilovecherries · 01/07/2019 16:52

Well, back from vet. Dog has lost 1.5 lbs in a week, which is a bit worrying given she’s only small. We’ve agreed to take an optimistic approach that the infection was maybe a bit worse than we realised and the heat on top was too much, and hope she perks up this week. Rescheduled her teeth for two weeks today, and we’ve agreed if she’s better then we’ll go ahead with that but if the pre-op bloods show her liver enzymes are off and we will assume her bladder tumour has spread, cancel the teeth, and consider euthanasia at that point - hopefully not straight away, but accepting it will be the next step. I HATE this bit of pet ownership but I once before left euthanasia too late as I wanted one more weekend, and it was a cruel and awful thing to do, resulting in me driving in a panic across the city on a Sunday afternoon to an emergency vet we’d never met, with the dog seizing on the back seat. I swore in future I’d go sooner rather than later once we knew we were in the end game. But hopefully she’ll rally again.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 17:00

awww @cherries, that sounds heartbreaking. Having a pet put down is just the pits. I had to with my cat about 4 years ago. I felt so upset after wards like I had made her die. The truth is, you will feel guilty whatever you do to begin with. Its a hard decision to take.x

NotAnActualSheep · 01/07/2019 17:25

Oh cherries - yes, that is sad Sad . We had a similar issue with DCat losing weight pretty rapidly and though nothing specific came up with a myriad of tests we had run, something was obviously not right. The vet gave her a course of B12 injections to stimulate appetite and that did perk her up a bit (though her kidneys did pack in shortly after just as we had made the decision to PTS the next day Sad ). Not sure if B12 works with dogs? As you say, it may be a combination of heat/ dehydration, plus feeling down from infections, and they may be able to encourage her to eat a bit more to get over it more quickly?

But, yy, it is an awful part of owning a pet..not wanting to leave it too late so they suffer, but never being certain whether there is something else that could be done that just hadn't been tried...

SoyYo · 01/07/2019 17:29

not was that the red maxi which I luvvs that you kept from Hush? Yes on sizing the 10 is perfect on me and I’m never a 10 in RL Wink but we all know Hush vanity sizing by now. Well done on returns and shame about the hoody which indeed looks fab online. I’m sure you’ll soon get into a more relaxed timetable with DS (and not too many boring boy movies...I still shudder at the Pikachu movie I had to go and see in early June for DS2 birthday. And they’re in their twenties! Hmm)

cherries you know last year we had your heartache when first our ginger mog had to be put down. After 18 years of family life we left it too long tbh. Then his brother only 3 months later! I’m still not over losing them tbh but like you I learnt the lesson with the first boy and once we knew the tumour was untreatable (1st cat was diabetic and we managed to give him a few good years of life with insulin twice a day) we didn’t delay for “just one more weekend” knowing he was in pain and unable to swallow. I’m convinced they were such good friends (brothers from same litter) that our second boy ended up with that fast growing tumour through sheer grief of losing his brother. It’s too sad and I wish you strength Flowers

NotAnActualSheep · 01/07/2019 18:43

Yes soy that's the one! Was really a "just to see" addition but I like how it hangs, the print is really pretty and the dipped hem makes it a bit different to either a maxi or a midi. Shown with a random top that I happened to be wearing...

Yy, I am still regretting not reordering the hoodie a bit, but I will keep it in mind for after the holidays as a "treat" Grin .

DH did the detective pikachu duty last month as I had something very important to do which I can't remember and wasn't made up just so I didn't have to go and claimed it was "better than expected". And I can generally cope with bad films without wanting to stab anything. Plus hormones had me getting a bit teary at a fecking Disneyland advert at the beginning, so it's not like I even had especially high standards today . But frankly, I had low expectations and even they were not fulfilled. Annoyingly, I fancied seeing toy story 4, but DS vetoed it on the grounds he didn't want to see the soft toys being the villains... Sigh...

ilovecherries · 01/07/2019 18:51

Me in the red skirt as well. I’ve also just snagged a wren. It was absolutely retail therapy but my dad insisted on giving me money for ‘something nice’ so it really only cost me a few quid. Ahem. Anyway, hope it fits, as it’s a 12. My denim jacket is a 12 but I’m sure someone said the Wrens were small made for hush.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 19:02

I have this skirt too. Was going to wear mine today and then I felt rubbish so have my peacock wide leg linen trousers on in pale blue and a white tee. Love the skirt on you both.
Actually if I remember right the wren was large rather than small @cherries. However, I cant remember what size laska ordered. Its all relative to your shape though. Its meant to be loose. Its not a jacket I have.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 19:03

The skirt is a very pretty print so it gets the thumbs up!

dontcallmelen · 01/07/2019 19:57

Not I feel your pain with bad films have 🍷 to counter the sheer horror of having to endure, yes got the shorts from boden but if I keep the RI top really need to stop now as well n truly have enough summer clothes.
Good fab outfit👍🏼
Cherries I hope ddog improves yy though this part of pet ownership is very hard 💐 my Dad used to do the same thing😍
never hope Ds has a good time, I love love Italy.
Laska really hope you are chilling & having a great time.
I have been out all day with dd & dgd who chose her new bedding for the new bed we bought her, in the hope it may persuade her to stay in her own bed I’m not holding out much hope though😳
Pretty skirts lovely colours.

SoyYo · 01/07/2019 20:14

❤️ you in the happy skirt not and cherries 💃💃 I’ve yet to wear mine too, but I will and I have a rock festival coming up in July, it’ll be lovely for that (fingers crossed for good weather...which reminds me of @EachandEveryone and I thought you were going to Glastonbury? Hope you had a great time! Weather just perfect last weekend).

not Grin at bad kids movies and crying with Disney trailers (Bambi always gets to me 😥)

SoyYo · 01/07/2019 20:21

Oh *len fingers crossed for new bed
doing the trick with DGD (I’m sure you got some pretty bedding to entice her)

cherries well done for bagging a Wren! They’re big, I have the 10 in Khaki and it’s very generous even with my 34G chest!

SoyYo · 01/07/2019 20:25

I got my Moshulu shoe order and I’m super pleased with these:
www.moshulu.co.uk/tagine-nubuck-ballerina-pumps.html
They are fab for my wide feet. Super supple/soft leather and so comfortable they feel like slippers.
Got them in the indigo/navy colour.

The cork sandals however were far too tight and going back.

SoyYo · 01/07/2019 20:30

never I gather you’ve not been well? I say gather because your earlier posts were deleted. In any case take care of yourself and take it easy.
It’s typical that once the stress/adrenaline of end of school year is gone, we relax and then promptly get a virus to remind us maybe we’ve been overdoing it...
Hope you’re back to normal soon to enjoy your deserved Summer Hols.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 20:43

Ah yes @soyo. I had them deleted because I was asking for advice about my SIL. She had a night with all of us and I felt I had a cold coming and was worried considering her condition that she may be affected by it but all was good. Thanks for asking :)

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 20:44

I felt it may out me and It was being quite specific.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/07/2019 20:45

I used the vicks spray up my nose and it has made such a difference. Its almost away!
