@Ellapaella the Superdry stuff looks great! Love the last one specially and the grey cardie.

@ilovecherries hope the antibiotics kick in soon and knock the infection on the head. How do you get anti Bs into dogs anyway??

@GinandGingerBeer lovely earrings Smile

dontcallmelen · 25/06/2019 18:10

Aww poor ol doggie cherries hope he is on the mend very soon.
Ella yy superdry, they sometimes have some brilliant stuff my all time favourite T-shirt is from superdry, looks lovely on you.

dontcallmelen · 25/06/2019 18:12

Not 😱 remember those school trips well, definitely alcohol is required after a day like that, love the tea towel dress & toast shirt.
Soups pretty dress.

ilovecherries · 25/06/2019 18:28

soups, shes on a mass of drugs anyway - 4 tablets a day as she has had bladder cancer for about 5 years. We were going to get her euthanised as we didn’t want to put her through a lot of surgical stuff and make her miserable but the vet suggested this drug combo which makes her more prone to the cysts but otherwise seems to have no adverse side effects. Except on my bank account! Bladder cancer is apparently very slow growing in some breeds and these drugs can hold it at ‘not-quite-but-almost’ in remission for a long time. Although we have had her now for much longer than we expected. Anyway, it means she’s used to taking tablets, we call them treats, which was a word she recognised anyway, and she reminds us after her dinner if we forget.

NotAnActualSheep · 25/06/2019 19:23

Lol @ responsible DDog cherries! You have her well trained if she reminds you to give her medication! Bless... Hope the Antibiotics kick in soon... Sounds pretty sore for her.

I agree with len on the superdry tees ella - really lovely with the lace bits. I've never even considered there... I thought everything was heavily branded, but those look really pretty and unusual. Love the black one.

gin eek, yes, I missed your t1 update in your earlier post. That sounds like quite a large variation even if it is caused by the hrt. I know nothing about the condition but if those changes are more than a one off I'd have thought that should be checked out... Have some Flowers.

NotAnActualSheep · 25/06/2019 19:26

Oh yes - beautiful dress soups Though maybe a 10 would also work if you could get the idea on an 8? Really like the tulle overlay (love a good polka dot!) and the shape looks really flattering. Sounds perfect for a grown up prom!

twosoups1972 · 25/06/2019 19:49

Oooh you've made me wonder if I should have got a 10 as well?? It should be ok, I'm top heavy and usually need to size up at the top not size down.

@ilovecherries awww your poor little dog. How old is she and what breed? Hope she is ok and not in pain. Does pet insurance not cover her treatment? Sounds expensive!

ilovecherries · 25/06/2019 20:00

She 12 soups, a miniature poodle. She is insured but now she has a chronic condition her premiums are so high it’s not worth it really. Basically I pay the same in insurance every month as her drugs cost. I keep the insurance on in case she were to have an accident, or gets something new, unrelated but treatable.

dontcallmelen · 25/06/2019 20:00

My favourite superdry T-shirt, which I only wear on holiday😂 & new whitestuff dress that I wore on holiday as well.

Thanks for the kind words, it's just me having a whinge really. I'll not bore you all with the details, but these kind of fluctuations go with the territory. Everything affects blood glucose, not just food and it's a pain in the arse being a pancreas at times. We don't realise how clever a pancreas is until it goes kaput!
Love the superdry shop up @ella. It's really great to see stuff from other shops.
It has tipped it down here all day, thoroughly miserable. Hopefully going to pick up by the end of the week 🤞🏻

miffy2 · 25/06/2019 20:13

@not those Zara plastic boots are pretty horrendous, aren’t they?! Glad your trip went well; we are off on school trip on Thursday - I am in a class of 9/10 year olds and they can be LOUD. I think I am used to it at this stage though :)

@just glad your moles were OK.

@Gin sorry you are having a tough time. I am on HRT and it has been the saving of me but I don't have other underlying conditions that can affect it.

@Soy I think you are a pro-packer, I love the sound of all your outfits and bow to your ability to get that all into one carry-on.

@soups that is a beautiful P8 dress. Just gorgeous. One that would could suit many events I imagine.

I managed to find a great kimono today; even DD commented on how nice it is. In H&M, too. Less than half the cost of the Hush one, a lovely quality feel to it too. Now I just need to lose the tum so I can rock the jeans/Tshirt combo under it :) :)

miffy2 · 25/06/2019 20:13

@Ella great SD finds. Their fabric quality is great IME. And those are some lovely staples.

FuzzyPuffling · 25/06/2019 20:23

Look look everybody, I bought a Hush dress (BrandAlley).
It's this one....

dontcallmelen · 25/06/2019 20:26

Ooh Fuzzy tis lovely great colour as well👍🏼

FuzzyPuffling · 25/06/2019 20:34

Thank you len. I was rather taken with it myself! Naturally!

Ellapaella · 25/06/2019 20:34

@dontcallmelen very glamorous! I love the dress! Looking good 😍

@FuzzyPuffling that dress is lovely

FuzzyPuffling · 25/06/2019 20:35

Mind you, the model is tall, skinny and young, so I expect to have a bit more of the "over stuffed pillowcase" effect when I am wearing it!

FuzzyPuffling · 25/06/2019 20:36

Len you look flipping fab in your photos. And about 20 years old too.

whiskyremorse · 25/06/2019 21:10

Aw @cherries she's being very brave! Poor pup x

ilovecherries · 25/06/2019 21:14

I have the shirt in that fabric, fuzzy, it is absolutely gorgeous, you will look lovely in it.

dontcallmelen · 25/06/2019 21:23

Aww Fuzzy don’t put yourself down, you will look fab in it you are lovely & tall.
In my dreams nothing like sunglasses & a bit of slap to hide the wrinkles😂

GinandGingerBeer · 25/06/2019 23:13

Funnily enough I ordered a kimono from H&M @miffy then I got an email saying 'we have processed your return' they hadn't even attempted delivery just sent it straight back from store. Couldn't be arsed to try again so cut my nose off to spite my face
Love the print of that dress @FuzzyPuffling you'll look fab Smile

whiskyremorse · 26/06/2019 06:54

@just glad all your results are clear. What a relief!

Huffthepuff · 26/06/2019 09:52

Great news Just! So glad for you

Love the kimono Miffy 😍

Not I love that M&S long dress! Feeling inspired by you and have just bought the blue version, so lovely. Going to a wedding on Saturday so hoping it might work for that.

justilou1 · 26/06/2019 10:27

Thanks for your messages, all!!! I might have celebrated bit, a-la Hushista-style. (*Am justifying this because end of financial year sales are on, also!) Bargain leopard-print dress with lovely silky petticoat that would double as a nightie. Both would travel well. Dress is supposed to be midi, but on me, almost maxi. (Safer - not a trip hazard!) I am unlikely to style it with stripy wool socks as per the photo.... It was reduced from $120 to $50 and will mean that the leopard wrap dress that I love, but feel insecure in is being donated or sold. (I wore it once.) Other is denim jumpsuit I have had my eye on, but could never justify at $200 original price while living in this climate. It’s proper denim with no elastane, that will just get softer over time. It was reduced to half price and then a further 40% off just for today. That will do. Unfortunately had one of those awful, shouty, patronizing salespeople who insisted on trying to give me back my old eating disorder by insisting that I DEFINITELY would need at LEAST a size 12, and to call her when I needed to try on the bigger size, complete with a visible eyeroll aimed at the whole shop. She was all of about 19 years old. I could have bought a 6, but chose the 8 so I could fit a jumper underneath. When I got to the till, she pushed through to put the sale in, so I asked if someone else could serve me and quietly told her why she did not deserve any commission from that sale. If I didn’t know how hard it is to get jobs like that, I’d be calling or emailing customer service at the national level about her attitude today, but I won’t do that to her. I hope she will learn something.
Please excuse crapulous lighting and lack of storage in my bedroom. The mirror is the closest thing we have to a full-length and it is much narrower than any human adult.
