@GinandGingerBeer I've never really looked at Oliver Bonas before but I am currently coveting a pair of sunglasses from there. Looking forward to hearing your feedback on the clothes.

goodluckandgodspeed · 24/06/2019 12:14

Just looking back at some of the messages - love those jeans huff!

justilou1 · 24/06/2019 12:26

Jacket is HOT, @goodluck!!!
Jeans are schmexy @ Huff!!! (I am learning how to speak teenager because they LOATHE it - in an attempt to manipulate them into spelling correctly and using words properly...)

twosoups1972 · 24/06/2019 12:30

@GinandGingerBeer what a great friendship, that’s so lovely you’ve stayed close all those years. It’s weird when family members are away isn’t it? Enjoy the peace!

twosoups1972 · 24/06/2019 13:49

@Dinkydoos I am thinking of trying the lovely Arket dress you linked to. I am usually a 12 and busty, what size should I get?

Dinkydoos · 24/06/2019 14:24

soups
Mines a 42 which they said was a 16
The 14 was just a bit pulling at bust
I am normally a 12 everywhere but have 34ff boobs so always have that issue
By way as well as the blue shirt sleeve version there is a lovely long sleeve version which is in the sale. Almost bought that as well...
Will see if can find a link.

Here’s the sale one!

twosoups1972 · 24/06/2019 14:31

Thank you @dinky you sound a similar shape to me. It the quality good?

Dinkydoos · 24/06/2019 15:35

Decent quality I think - viscose so May shrink slightly but at least it’s not bloody polyester!
Hangs nicely

Love that jacket goodspeed

goodluckandgodspeed · 24/06/2019 16:09

Right - I’ve finally looked through most of the thread! Some awesome clothes and some brands I’ve either not heard of or haven’t tried! Although I need to not buy anything til winter now. I’m inundated with summer clothes. I’d like a dress though. A casual ish dress.
Love looking at photos of what people have bought.

miffy2 · 24/06/2019 17:12

My Topshop order arrived (two dresses and a skirt) - all going back. The dresses are the prettiest colours and fabrics but are sleeveless and make my arms/boobs look like there are extra rolls of fat on board. :(

On the other hand I placed a sneaky Zara sale order as I just need tops to go with all my skirts and trousers, and never have anything to 'throw on' over jeans fro an evening out. AND two of the tops I got are gorgeous and I am delighted:

Oh and the Topshop skirt was a size 12 and I could not get the zip up. Yet I have another skirt form them that I bought about 6 months ago, and the 12 is more than generous. Ugh.

Laska2Meryls · 24/06/2019 18:27

Im not sure if I can even qualify for a Hush meet up as i seem to have gone right over to the Dark side now .. There was lots of Hush stuff in ,( most of which I hadn't actually seen IRL previously but quite frankly not one item grabbed me at all!

I think I have become a Toastista now after a successful (and expensive) visit to JL today .. first off I got sensible and changed the blue dress for a size larger all the better to accommodate the huge norks on holiday (I have sent the M back to toast now, and it was a bit cheaper at JL ) . Then I got this skirt which JL were selling for £75, which is odd as its not yet reduced on Toast website. Also this vest top for £30 (still £60 on Toast) . here they are with dusty mirror
I also got a another couple of vest tops from Joules

On train home with dd after v unsatisfactory session in JL, which was heaving. It’s normally so polite and restrained in there, but someone actually snatched a jacket out of my hands Shock. Anyway, I looked hideous in most of the toast stuff. I’ve kept one dress to try at home as it was also boiling and I had a series of hot flushes in the changing room, but everyone else returned. Then lured into Cos by air con and have spent a bloody fortune doing Skandi chic. Oops.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/06/2019 18:43

Love the check skirt best of all @laska. Its gorgeous and looks lovely on you. It really suits you.

Laska2Meryls · 24/06/2019 18:51

I dont think the top looks that good in the photos, never ( the way I am standing doesn't help but i was trying to photograph it without getting the phone directly in front) !) but it is really lovely.... I got the L again as its linen jersey and I think it could shrink..

cherries our JL was v calm and polite today.. ( but I wish we had a Cos nearby, looking forward to seeing your haul)

Laska love the check skirt, looks really good on you.
I’m so hoping the new Westfield does go ahead in Croydon, as the flagship store will be a John Lewis & it will be a twenty minute journey on the tram, my nearest JL is Oxford Street at the moment.
Ooh cherries look forward to seeing the Scandi chic cos stuff.
Soy safe journey & hope the ‘mission’ goes well😂 also Dh gets his paperwork sorted.
Miffy lovely tops, Zara is always worth a look.
Good fab jacket.
Gin tis indeed very weird when everyone is away Yy enjoy the peace.

dontcallmelen · 24/06/2019 19:34

Just seen the picture of the vest, that’s lovely as well pretty colours & would go with lots.

Ellapaella · 24/06/2019 20:17

@Dinkydoos I love that long sleeve Arket dress you've linked - I want to order it, what are they like for returns? And what size should I order? I'm between a 10 and a 12.

@Laska2Meryls love the check skirt

Ellapaella · 24/06/2019 20:18

@miffy2 I've just having a right Huff on with Zara! I've my eye on 3 lovely dresses, none of which have a medium in stock! So annoying!

Ellapaella · 24/06/2019 20:19

@Dinkydoos - sorry to tag you again.. it looks navy, do you think it would work with orange sandals? What shoes are you wearing with yours? Sorry for all the questions.

twosoups1972 · 24/06/2019 20:45

Oh dear @ilovecherries JL sounds very hot and uncomfortable, which branch was it? What did you get in Cos? Have you decided on graduation dress yet?

ilovecherries · 24/06/2019 20:50

It was Glasgow, soups. It was really horrible, never known JL to be like that. Plus it was so hot in there. I think I will probably wear the black and white Kensington to the graduation, unless it’s tipping it down, in which case will probably wear the multi coloured marina with a navy blazer.
