Moritz style M&S jeans arrived today before my other items. I love them. Very long for cropped jeans and wide legged as promised. I'm normally a 10 in M&S jeans but these are a 12
They were £29.50 - £5 off trousers with Sparks at the mo.

Blokes!! what are they, exactly? and why did I ever bother with them? effin hormones at aged 16 to blame.... Tell your daughters now!!-- We have 4 days before we go yet!, and they have shops and everything in Greece).. If this is retirement, he needs to get another job, and pronto!

@dinkdydoos that dress is lovely! I might try it. Do they do free returns?

Laska2Meryls · 23/06/2019 20:30

and cherries too! (I missed your post) I am more worried about the Scottish Super Mozzies! -Should I ever venture up your part of the world.- There are lots in Greece too, but Greek mozzies seem more benign for some reason..

Hello all! I think I need a weekend to recover from the weekend. But have Wine now. Mmmmmm. Nothing of particular interest.... Various DS activities and entertaining parents and so on. But sooooo tiring (I was "offered" time to look round JL this afternoon by myself while DH and DS went to boil themselves in a soft play, but just couldn't face staying there, and came home to catch up on laundry and work. I think I must be ill....).

Anyway lovely to catch up with you all! And 👋len - glad you had a lovely holiday!! We need you back though. Its been chaotic on the spending front! I need to stop now. I think I may follow nink and have a look at things to buy in the future and not now... Good plan.

huff love those wide crops! They look really nice with the portobello top, and the v necked blouse you have. Really summery. Lucky I wasn't around at the weekend, cos I would definitely have talked you up on the toast culottes 😍😍. And I still think if you have wanted them for 5 months you should give them a go to see. Ironing or not. (ironing is overrated imo...). Also the m and s skirt is v pretty. I'm tempted to try the summer beauty box, but clothes I fancy (like miffys shirt dress) are just under the £40 spend! I'm sure they do that on purpose... Grrrr. Anyway, I'm not going to buy something just for the sake of it.

soy that white company broderie top is beautiful! Love the hem! Glad DS is feeling up to moving back to Brighton... Sounds like he is doing really well. And glad you have had a bit of time to get your feet pampered.

miffy ouch, I hadn't realised you had had further problems on top of your ear infection. Poor you! Good on you for kick starting the healthy eating though. And soups - really well done on your run! That's so good. Glad DDs trip went well too.

dinky - I keep meaning to try arket. That dress is lovely... really pretty pattern. But I so don't need another potential place to buy from....

granny I think I know the sainsburys dresses you mean! There are some lovely ones there at the moment. And yay, pockets... I had a brief look last week, but was in such a rush I didn't have time to try them on, and I find they are a bit hit or miss for me in terms of waist location. I did buy a cute white broderie blouse with a sort of tie bit at the bottom on a whim, which is nice (but the only one left had makeup on, so had to go straight in the wash...)

laska oof, you sound like you've been on the go constantly... Was tired just reading that... Definitely need a JL browse I reckon Grin. Pah to over-organised DH!

Right, going to catch up on some killing eve now...

NotAnActualSheep · 23/06/2019 21:06

Oh yes, cherries and never sorry to hear about the hay-fever. I've never suffered, but I do wonder if it's something you can develop, as I do feel I've been getting some symptoms over the past few years. Typical. Though I think the forecast here over the next few days is rubbish with rain... So if its the same for you, it will hopefully wash out the pollen (and midges!)

Ellapaella · 23/06/2019 21:10

@Huffthepuff I love those jeans - they look fab. Where is the lovely v neck white blouse from? Also gorgeous

dontcallmelen · 23/06/2019 21:17

Right oh, am giving up trying to remember who has bought what, it’s all lovely, though I do sense some will be on the no spend bench But ..... with sales really starting now I fear our halos well n truly slipping. Nink I do love the bag though & all the toast offerings look great no sign of droop or dreary colours😀
Laska you are very very naughty, I have a hunch you will be waiting outside the doors of JL waiting for them to open tomorrow, also so sorry to hear the stuff with family is still going on, hopefully your holiday will help a little & you will find some much needed peace💐
Never your Sil is indeed an inspiration, cancer is indeed a bastard & anxiety is such a pig to try & deal with, it is so debilitating at times💐
Soups so glad that dd had a great time & I have only witnessed from afar the difficulties of parenting an autistic child, to do day in day out must be exhausting at times & well done on the run💐🥇
Soy so glad that Ds is continuing to improve & seems he really is getting back on track, did 😂 at finally uncovering what you actually do & that you are our own dear assassin.
Also 💐 big hugs for everyone who has endured/concerned about melanoma, sorry if I have missed anyone out.
Anyway holiday was lovely, if a bit boozy think I may need to dry out a bit, weather was fab & resort very pretty with two lovely sandy coves.
Missed dgd sooo much though & was wanting to cuddle random toddlers😳
My new denim jacket & superdry canvas pumps are my new absolute favourite things at the moment.

Huffthepuff · 23/06/2019 21:18

Thanks Not and Ella! I'm really chuffed with them and means I've scratched the itch of the Moritz jeans (for now...) Beauty box is fab Not, very worth £15 IMO. I've used a few bits from it already.
The white blouse is from a Danish brand called Edited I think. I signed up to the styling service Stitchfix (just to try...) and out of the 5 items of clothing they picked out for me, this was the only one I kept. But I really like it! And it's nice to try a brand I haven't heard of before

dontcallmelen · 23/06/2019 21:26

Huff jeans are fab, I was reading about stitchfix a few days ago seems an interesting idea.

dontcallmelen · 23/06/2019 21:30

Soups 34 is a six, 36 is an eight, 38 is a ten 40 is a 12.

Huffthepuff · 23/06/2019 21:54

Yes Len it's a great concept and could be very dangerous for spending but luckily they really missed the mark on some of the things they sent me. I've got another box coming in a couple of weeks to see if they improve the selection. Really don't need more clothes but it's just the most exhilarating fun receiving a box of surprise clothes to try on. You only pay for what you keep so at least you don't take a financial hit up front. Still hoping they'll pay attention to my very detailed notes and send me something fabulous 😏

SoyYo · 23/06/2019 22:16

Just signing in to say hi as after my pedicure yesterday things went a bit manic here...tons of boring housework and washing to do and today really helping DH prep for his trip to Spain ; he’ll be there doing his permanent residency with the authorities while I’m in Prague (long story won’t bore you).
Suffice to say by the time I finished reassuring him he’ll be fine dealing with Spanish officialdom without his personal interpreter (my cousin will accompany him instead) and packed and figured out what I’m wearing the whole week in Prague (forecasted to be a scorching 30C) AND packed!! I’m now ready to leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow.
We do get to travel to the airport together as our planes are only 1/2 hour apart and we’ll say farewell past security in the best Mr & Mrs Smith style.
Sorry if I go quiet for the next few days...these “missions” are quite demanding Wink

soups glad to read DD came back safe and sound and bravo on today’s run 👍

Huff oh yes! Those jeans look amazing on you and the top you’ve paired with is fabulous. Go You!

laska I take my sombrero off to you dealing with lively small person and then anxious DH (I can totally relate...like Totally! Grin)

nink great WC necklace I had to stop myself from putting that very same one in my basket when I bought the broderie top

len sounds like my kind of chilled hols 🍷 but Grin at wanting to cuddle random toddlers.

not like you I’m lucky not to suffer from hay fever (well the odd sniffle but doesn’t even warrant 1 antihistamine tablet) so sincere commiserations cherries and never

Hello to everyone else. 🤗

My Prague carry on case is a veritable Hush fashion feast:
Lots of T shirts to go with multicoloured Marina skirt, new Aster culottes, wide leg stripe trousers (btw glad you found them in that charity shop cherries), Frances navy summer trousers.
For evenings my Spanish sea colour silk, and light black and electric blue silk tops and grey Monaco’s.
One WC broderie brown dress (forgot i had this) and one Kensington dress.
Electric blue fake leather jacket (but it’s fake in a good way) and 3 scarves in different shades to match various outfits.
Black flat sandals and pointy yellow flats.
One hundred star kimono for hotel dressing gown.
Gudrun blue harems with embroidered Hush blue jacket from BA and white T for relaxed eve wondering streets of Prague.
I even fitted my travel hairdryer/diffuser and liquids with that lot proud
Oh and the little Parfois basket weave cross body bag for evenings as I’ll be travelling with my rather substantial Knomo laptop leather bag (not really a handbag)
So here’s hoping villanelle would approve! Grin

I’ll try and keep up during the week x

Dinkydoos · 23/06/2019 22:32

Love those jeans huff

soups not too sure re returns as I bought in store
Def worth a try as I usually can’t get on with dresses as never seem to fit on top, and button top ones usually gape.
Lots of lovely clothes on here. Enjoy JL laska I saw quite a lot in there that I could easily have bought.
soy did you get a long or short kimono in the end? Been debating one as think it would be useful holiday evening item.

SoyYo · 23/06/2019 22:36

dinky I returned the short and ended up keeping 2 one hundred star long kimonos (both sale) a bohemian one with grey background/flowers and a Moroccan burgundy one. Both double up as fab summer dressing gowns too.

justilou1 · 24/06/2019 03:07

Hi @ilovecherries and @neveradullmoment99 - apparently a couple of teaspoons of locally-sourced, very fresh, unfiltered, non-heat-treated honey is supposed to improve your immunity to airborne pollens, etc if that is what is causing the hay-fever. I suppose it probably takes a while to start working though.... It’s a pretty nice kind of medicine if you can find it!!! We all get hay-fever in our house and it’s horrible. I hope you feel better, ASAP!🐝
@miffy2 - sorry you’re feeling cruddy, too! Hope things look up soon 💐

Gilbert82 · 24/06/2019 07:47

Love those M&S jeans @Huffthepuff you look fantastic in them, do you have the link for them?

twosoups1972 · 24/06/2019 08:07

@Huffthepuff lovely jeans, you look great in them and a great price Smile

@Laska2Meryls hope the holiday prep is not too stressful! I can't imagine having my dh around all day, I like my space! He's got a good few years to retirement though.

Huffthepuff · 24/06/2019 08:08

Thanks! Here's the link Gilbert: www.marksandspencer.com/wide-leg-mid-rise-cropped-jeans/p/p60256055

Gilbert82 · 24/06/2019 08:21

Thank you Smile

GinandGingerBeer · 24/06/2019 09:41

Morning. Well it's been a strange weekend here, DH is in the states with work and managed to fit some sight seeing in in New York
DS1 went back to uni for the weekend for a night out so just me & DS2 all weekend. Went out for a few gins with my lovely bestie who has been my bestie for....? 45 years! We met in reception & have been through such a lot together.
I'm on leave this eeek but I'm skint Get paid Friday though and hoping to go to Leeds shopping.
Laska I Hope DH has chilled out a bit Re the packing. I find it really stressful too, mostly due to all the medication & paraphernalia that accompanies it.
Is he open to a bit of tech? My packing app really helped along with an app called 'to do' saved my head exploding!
@huff I love the jeans! Gorgeous!
@Soy well done on the carry on packing.... I hate it when I'm limited although discovering I can have additional allowance for meds makes it easier.
I've been a lazy bum all weekend and my bedroom resembles a teenagers so I need to sort it out and try on my Olivia Bonas stuff.
Hush & Whistles skirts have gone back so that's £100 due back...
have a good day everyone Smile
