@neveradullmoment99 yes! I received the Aster kimono, skirt and scarf x2 (1 for a gift) along with the star print cropped leggings.

The kimono is just....not right on me. Maybe I am too broad-shouldered and with the half-length wide sleeves I look a bit boxer-like. Hmm So that is going back BUT I love the skirt - after an ironing - and the scarf is perfect.

I have bought way too many clothes, ladies! In the last month I have bought:

H&M leaf patterned dress (already worn twice and complimented on) and cream culottes

Hush Monaco in black and navy, aster skirt, leggings, scarf, Nini dress (also love this!), wide jersey striped top and blue sloppy joe

Topshop - I have ordered the Vienna skirt (black and white wrap style skirt) and two dresses that I already know will go back as they won't flatter my arms, plus today I picked up a short skirt and some jersey relaxed culottes

M&S - in order to get two summer beauty boxes I ordered a boho style top that I thought would go back immediately....except I really like it...but will have to size down. And then as I am loving my H&M shirt dress already I bought one in M&S and I think I will struggle to return it. It is a very flattering style on me even though I would not usually wear a shirt with a collar. The style hides my tummy and flatters me in general.

Blouse: www.marksandspencer.com/ie/embroidered-peasant-blouse/p/p60263855?OmnitureRedirect=T432544

Dress: www.marksandspencer.com/ie/floral-print-shirt-midi-dress/p/p60288476?image=SD_01_T42_8300_Y4_X_EC_90&color=BLACKMIX&prevPage=plp

It is very similar to last year's Hush Kensington but I wasn't mad about the elasticated waist so I may sell that one on.

So yeah, no more clothes purchases for me! I am going to be ruthless and return anything I don't feel fabulous in.
I have also reverted to cutting sugar out of my diet as I have been putting on weight recently. I was unwell with my ear infection and on lots of meds/rest and THEN managed to cause myself some damage in my neck, a really bad muscle spasm, which meant another 10 days of pain relief/anti-inflammatories/valium and physio. So I have been comfort eating and missing the gym. Anyway removing sugar and general crap food from my diet and not snacking after dinner usually kickstarts me, and I will get back to exercise on Monday.

So all deliveries and returns done now. I have kept the Toast Dhuggie, dress and scarf and swapped the shirt for the cheaper one ( actually just sent new one back with old invoice) so that has to be it now for summer sales.(and I have spent
far too much enough anyway. I can't buy when on holiday as no one to take inparcels for me this year when I am away so I shall just have to not look!!

neveradullmoment99 · 22/06/2019 19:51

actually just sent new one back with old invoice

I always do that, just incase there are subtle differences and also sometimes cause I want to wear it right away.
Not done much today really. Boring supermarket shopping. Its been warm but a bit overcast from time to time but it is a lovely evening now and I am melting but I think its to do with my internal menopausal heating rather than external factors.

dontcallmelen · 22/06/2019 19:54

Hello everyone just trying to catching up, looks like you have bought some lovely stuff.
Holiday was lovely & so enjoyed having some sun on the achey bones & sooo lovely to come back to sunshine, got all the washing done & line dried today so a major bonus.
I was incredibly restrained & didn’t buy anything 😇
Hope everyone is ok.

SoyYo · 22/06/2019 20:15

Welcome back Len good to know if was a great holiday and we all need you to put us firmly on that no spend bench!!

Hope your DGS is well exhausted laska and you get the quiet evening you need to recover 😅

miffy lovely dress on the M&S link indeed very much like the Kensington style, and pretty boho blouse.

Well you know I’ve been after a broderie top all summer? Well I spotted this on the White Company sale and ordered in black. Don’t have high expectations as the reviews are a bit mixed but love the style:
www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Cotton-Broderie-Top/p/BTCDE?swatch=Black

And a lace vest which seems much more bargainous than my Hush one (which I love but it’s never reduced enough to tempt me to get another):

Anyway that’s it for me for the summer sales too.

Have a lovely midsummer eve!

Huffthepuff · 22/06/2019 20:47

Thanks Soy I don't really need to fill a gap in my wardrobe. But they are part of the look I like if you know what I mean. Have also had them in my JL wish list for 5 months waiting for a reduction so feel like I should try them. But also need to stop spending at a rate of knots!
Very pretty tops from white company. The blouse looks like it could sit oddly on the chest? The seams are quite high. Haven't read the reviews tho. Definitely worth trying on as it's such a lovely style.

So no spend bench going well... I needed to order some giant bikini bottoms from m&s and to get it over free delivery I ordered their wide leg jeans (like the moritz but probably not as nice although much cheaper) and this skirt

Just to try...
Temperatures set to rise this week in London so I'd like some cool floaty fabrics to get me through the next few weeks at work
Had my eye on that M&S dress Miffy! It's so lovely

Welcome back Len!

FuzzyPuffling · 22/06/2019 20:59

Hello @dontcallmelen. We have missed your no spend vibes. Well done for not spending. Hope you have a gorgeous tan!! Glad it was sunny for you coming back. Each time I have come back from holiday, it has been cold and miserable and wet. We are set for a better week than last. Its been miserable. Glad to see you back on :)

ilovecherries · 23/06/2019 09:47

Welcome back len, we missed you!

dontcallmelen · 23/06/2019 10:32

Thanks everyone
😂 at you naughty people, spending with abandon whilst I haven’t been patrolling the no spend bench.
Have a lovely day & I will catch up properly later 😘

Ninkaninus · 23/06/2019 11:05

Hey everyone 🌷

Hugs and un-MNetty x x x to anyone who needs it.

I still have not looked at any of your modelling pics or any of the links as I do not want to be tempted but I might have to go back and have a peek today.

Have bought a necklace which I thought will be lovely for summer/holidays, it was on sale at the White Company. I’ve got my eye on the earrings and bracelet too but will wait and see it they will go in sale or have some % taken off at a later date.

Ninkaninus · 23/06/2019 11:10

Also as I’m looking to really not spend for a few months, I’ve switched away from looking at what I would quite like to have and am focusing on building up a record on Pinterest of pieces that I actually want to invest in later. It means I can put it there and mentally leave it be. Helps a little with the buying impulse.

Laska2Meryls · 23/06/2019 14:47

I'm on the ferry back after dropping DGS back to mummy. Already budy day cataloging mini beasts and other creatures in garden for his homeork. ( Sadly no grasssnakes in the compost today) and scooting along the prom , and making pots out of our local blue slipper clay You can find on the cliffs/ beach .. I need a Gin already !!
So now it's action stations getting ready for holiday ! I could go over to peruse the JL sale in Southampton tomorrow, they have Toast,Jigsaw and Hush concessions ..but that would be Very, Very Wrong wouldn't it?Wink

I have to confess I'm also off the no spend bench but running straight back onto it for another go. I bought a blue and white striped linen dress in Sainsburys and came home and ordered the same dress in two other colours - red and a pastel stripe. Perfect for work until the Autumn and they have pockets. £64 for the three!

twosoups1972 · 23/06/2019 16:44

@Laska2Meryls the idea of the JL sale is dangled now, there is NO going back Grin

Thank you all for your lovely kind words, thankfully dd3 is home safe and sound without any travel sickness (but she reported that others were!) and generally had a lovely time. It was very full on, very little down time and with her autism I worried about that. She had a bit of a meltdown on Friday night (anticlimax) but is fine now.

I'm loving all the Toast offerings! I've never bought anything from there before but that might change soon!

@miffy2 I tried on that M&S dress recently, it was nice but pulled a bit over the bust. I'm on a hunt for Hush Kensington, hoping it might go down in their sale but have been looking on Ebay too.

I'm wearing a new top from Oasis today, white with vertical stripes.

@laska that sounds exhausting! You certainly have earned a drink Gin

twosoups1972 · 23/06/2019 16:45

@dontcallmelen welcome back and glad you had a good holiday. Weather is looking nice here for the coming week Smile

twosoups1972 · 23/06/2019 16:52

Oh nearly forgot my other news! Dh and I both did a 5K charity run this morning Smile I do run a bit for general exercise but this was my first time doing a proper run and I have to say it's a much further distance than I am used to. I couldn't believe seeing the marker for ONE K - I thought I had run much further than that Grin I stopped to walk for a bit here and there especially near the end but finished in about 47 mins so respectable I think.

twosoups1972 · 23/06/2019 17:01

Can anyone help me with &Stories sizing, I'm finding the sizing charts a bit confusing. If I'm normally a size 12, should I buy a size 40?

Dinkydoos · 23/06/2019 18:02

soups I think a 40 is a 14?
I’ve just bought a dress today from Arket and they are linked I think and a 40 in there was a 14
It was this dress if anyone is interested. I had to size up quite a bit to a 42 to fit chest but for once, with this type of dress the waist sits in right place. Usually the waist is too high for me.
www.arket.com/en_gbp/women/dresses/product.short-fluted-dress-green.0781475001.html

They had a lovely blue as well. V flattering

ilovecherries · 23/06/2019 18:23

Do you think it’s possible to die from hay fever? I thought you were meant to grow out of it. PLUS I already take an antihistamine every day of the year for some other unspecified allergy. DH had to drive all the way home today as I couldn’t get my contacts in and I couldn’t find my prescription sunglasses. Utterly 😖.

Anyway - laska, if it makes you feel better, I’m doing JL sale tomorrow with DD when we go to collect my toast order.

soups, glad it all went well for your DD. Re OS sizing, I have a few things from there, and find 40 to be a 12 unless it’s an oversized knit, in which case all bets are off.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/06/2019 19:08

@cherries, I have been suffering too over the last few days. I was so awful one day [about 3wks ago] I couldn't get out of the school grounds quickly enough. My eyes were itching, burning. I wanted to rip them out! My nose was running uncontrollably and my throat felt itchy. I couldn't get in my car quick enough. It was intolerable. I haven't had hayfever that bad for a long time. The kids hadn't seen me this bad!
