neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 14:26

It may work for you trousers @ilovecherries
I cannot believe you found a pair in a charity shop.
How bloody odd is that? In Inverness too! It was meant to be. They were the trousers you absolutely loved!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 14:27

In your size too? It is amazing.

Laska2Meryls · 21/06/2019 14:32

soy I can't believe that you are discouraging me from a dress !! Think I am keeping it though.. Wink
Wearing the toast shirt and Hush relaxed trousers today as I had to come into work onlieu of yesterday.. (boo)

Ha Laska! I know...soy is being very disenabling this week. She talked me out of that ££ jumpsuit too, (on the grounds I do have one almost exactly the same, but different colour...Fair point, frankly...) Far too responsible Wink .

Boooo to work. But nearly the weekend....

NotAnActualSheep · 21/06/2019 15:58

soups your break sounds loooovely. Lol at your DH doing the shopping and not you... And really nice for your DD to get a bit of bonding. Hope the school trip went OK.
Yy, I think soy modelling the skirt has made a few sales! It does look lovely.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 18:56

@miffy, did you order the aster kimono?

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 18:57

Its quiet on here this afternoon/evening. Is everyone out enjoying the sunshine? Is it even sunny where you are?

Ninkaninus · 21/06/2019 19:06

I’m here!

It’s not sunny where I am (very grumpy about that) although the day started out absolutely beautiful.

I’m just trying not to look, in fact I’ve not had a peek at anyone’s outfits and buys as I am NOT TO SPEND anymore for a while! And it’s so hard not to when everything looks so good on everyone......

🌷to all (and 🍷 or 🍹 or 🍺 or 🥃 or 🥤— it’s FRIDAY woohoo!!)

ilovecherries · 21/06/2019 19:12

We’ve had a glorious day on Rosemarkie beach - even saw dolphins! It’s raining now though, but we are all settled in the caravan - nice to spend the longest day so far north. I’m absolutely delighted with my trousers. They are on the big side as they are a 14 - I’m sure my last ones were a 12 - but the upside is they have the potential to sit lower if nec if/when they shrink lengthways. I got DD to order a couple of toast things from the JL sale for me - the Lydia dress and the Mara I think - a sort of dungaree dress anyway. She says she’s also put a pair of Japanese style trousers in cobalt blue in the order, as she thought they’d suit me. Can’t get enough internet to look myself but we’ll see - will go and collect and try them on on Monday.

fuzzy, feel free to come and join us, as there will be other meet ups arranged which might be nearer for you.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 19:14

I picked up the Lydia today @cherries. Its a lovely dress. I cannot purchase anymore either. Just absolutely need to stop looking. I think you will love the Lydia.

FuzzyPuffling · 21/06/2019 19:18

Could someone pm me regarding the What's App group please?
Thanks!

Ninkaninus · 21/06/2019 19:20

cherries have you decided on a grad outfit yet?

twosoups1972 · 21/06/2019 19:21

@never I'm here! Waiting for news for dd to return from her trip. They were due back at 8pm but looks like they will be delayed slightly due to heavy traffic. I don't know why but I feel a bit anxious. Dh was going to come with me to get her but he's been mega busy at work and won't get there in time. This is going to sound really stupid.....I have a vomiting phobia and am now worrying about dd being sick on the coach. If dh was with me to pick her up I'd feel more relaxed. It's very unlikely she was sick, she doesn't usually get travel sick and I've given her tablets just in case. I think being pre-menopausal has really set my anxiety off. I probably sound bonkers now don't I?

twosoups1972 · 21/06/2019 19:22

I'm just having visions of dd stepping off the coach clutching a sick bag and me having to look after her on my own! Really stupid I know.

Ninkaninus · 21/06/2019 19:24

cherries I suffer with anxiety (not emetophobia, just the generalised type) and you don’t sound bonkers at all.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 19:30

I think being pre-menopausal has really set my anxiety off. I probably sound bonkers now don't I?

@twosoups1972 Actually you sound like me. I suffer from anxiety all the time. I hate waiting for my children to come home any time. Even after school. I really don't know why. So, I get your anxiety.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 19:31

I have a phobia about people not coming home. I don't know if it something to do with my own childhood but I have always really struggled and I know its stupid.

GinandGingerBeer · 21/06/2019 19:31

Bloody menopause indeed @twosoups1972
What happened to being rational and carefree....? I worry about my worries worrying me or if I'm not worrying I worry why! Grin
Bet Jonathan Ross couldn't say that one!
My red skirt arrived today and it just doesn't look right. It's a lovely print but it just doesn't hang well, kinda sticks out on the hips. So disappointed, I wanted to look like Soy did in hers Sad
Anyway, better for the bank account & I want to go to Leeds one day next week for a mooch.

GinandGingerBeer · 21/06/2019 19:34

I'm the same @never. I know why, but it doesn't stop me from constantly catastrophising.
Having teenagers who go clubbing and a DH working in the States doesn't help.

Ellapaella · 21/06/2019 19:41

I'm away this weekend, won't be back until Sunday and my WiFi is not great. @FuzzyPuffling and anyone else who wants to join what's app group pm me your mobile number on here and I'll add you

Ellapaella · 21/06/2019 19:42

Anxiety is definitely a big part of menopause unfortunately 😢

twosoups1972 · 21/06/2019 19:42

Thank you all for being so understanding. Dh doesn’t get it at all. Dd’s coach has been delayed so dh might be back in time after all.

*@GinandGingerBeer
Shame about the skirt. I’ve ordered it too, do you think it will work with an inverted triangle shape?

ilovecherries · 21/06/2019 20:15

I never used to be anxious, but over the last 15 years it’s become awful. I tried CBT but actually all the challenges of ‘what’s the worst that could happen’ weren’t helpful as I live with the loss of siblings (plural) and a DD who’s health is a time bomb. I’m living with the some of the worst that could happen (I know there is always another level of hell!) all the time and sometimes I feel it’s only the energy of my worry that keeps the plane in the air at all! If my metaphor makes sense. I don’t really now if peri menopause was the trigger as everything else piled in at around the same time. It’s awful though, absolutely exhausting and sucks the happiness out of everything.

ilovecherries · 21/06/2019 20:17

This week has actually been unusual as I’ve slept well and felt pretty much relaxed most of the time. But the anxiety of getting here was horrible.
