Thank you @SoyYo and @justilou1. Yes its my SIL. I feel so sad for her. Its worse
because right now she looks the same. She is surrounding herself with all that matters, yes. My MIL is very upset. My dh is very practical and accepts death is something we all face so atm, its me thats more upset. Its so hard to hear someone planning their decline. She is preparing her house for illness☹ Getting rid of things/ furniture sorted for when she can't go upstairs. She is mid 50's. It seems surreal.
As for the aster skirt i love it. Shirt is good but i do prefer the blue one and it was further reduced but ive ended up spending way more than i wanted so will have a think about it all.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 08:38

@Ellapaella I have messaged you about whatsapp x

ilovecherries · 21/06/2019 08:40

rousillon, what a lovely thing to say. And feel free to jump in any time.

laska and never, big hugs. I don’t think I will ever really ‘get over’ losing my sister. It’s been a long time and I don’t really know what she would have been like as a woman in her 50s, but I miss the idea of her so much, and we were so close. There is such a big hole left.

I can’t see any clothes pictures, they are all timing out, but they sound fab. DD and I are planning a day in Glasgow on Monday, so I may find something then. I’ve decided just to stay home with her for a few days after our holiday, as we’d need to come back to Scotland on Thursday evening for her graduation anyway.

ilovecherries · 21/06/2019 08:59

I was all set to get the Astor culottes then realised they were dry clean only, no way do I want dry clean summer trousers. I can just about cope with winter clothes that need dry cleaning, but couldn’t cope with summer ones.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 09:06

Yes, ive got the skirt and its the same but i dont wash skirts that often tbh.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 09:09

@ilovecherries you should get the skirt @cherries, its gorgeous. I think i prefer it to the culottes.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 09:09

why i put your name twice, i have no idea!!! seriously losing it!

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 09:10

If you do buy it, size down to a 10

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 09:11

Or size down one size [not sure what size you are? a 12? then get a 10]

SoyYo · 21/06/2019 10:21

Yes good point about the dry cleaning but in fairness I bought the culottes for my summer work trips. I’ll probably chance it with a gentle hand wash when the time comes (I like to live dangerously Wink)

ilovecherries · 21/06/2019 10:46

I picked up a pair of the wide leg trousers (the ones that shrank) BNWT from a charity shop in Inverness this morning. £5.50. I know they will shrink again but I had to have them for a few happy wears. And this time I might turn them into culottes when they do!

Ellapaella · 21/06/2019 10:52

I think I'm going to have to get the red skirt! It looks so good on SoyYo and if you are all getting it I'll be getting FOMO!

NotAnActualSheep · 21/06/2019 11:04

What a pain about the dry cleaning. Though, yy soy I reckon a hand wash should be fine ( Grin at living dangerously!). It doesn't say dry clean only on the fabric section of the culottes on the hush website... Just the standard 5% shrinkage risk after washing thing. But you are right, it does on the other aster things, and it does on the JL website (can you tell, I've got overly invested in researching this!). Their cleaning instructions are really all over the shop. The embroidered sleeved dress said a cool machine wash was fine on the website, but the actual label insists on hand washing only...

Bargain trousers cherries. Love it when that happens... (charity shop find. Not shrinking, of course!)

Ellapaella · 21/06/2019 12:15

@Laska2Meryls I have sent you a PM

FuzzyPuffling · 21/06/2019 13:16

Oh....BLAH!!!
I wouldn't be able to make Edinburgh (it's just too far away) although I would love to meet some real Hushistas and fear that he group will fragment into "those in the meet group and the rest of you". Please don't do that! (I am on both FB and What's App though!) This is a lovely thread and even if you don't buy much (like me) it feels safe and supportive.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 13:36

Noone is leaving😀

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 13:38

People could meet that are closer to laska. People meet closer to Scotland.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 13:40

Btw @NotAnActualSheep
Was it u
You that commented on my trainers? They are vans originals and i got them for around£20 on ebay. I thought they would be fakes but they arent! Bit of a bargain!

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 13:41

I did get them ages ago.

NotAnActualSheep · 21/06/2019 14:06

I'm not sure never it may have been me.. (sieve head!) The ones you were wearing with the blue toast shirt? They are fab though, and another bargain...

Oh fuzzy. Poo. Sad I suppose it is a long way for many- esp from SW. Maybe London would be easier for most? (Not that weekend though, obv). Join the whatsapp group anyway and any breakaway fringe meets can be discussed Grin . At the moment it's mostly people getting confused as to who's who...the chat is still here!

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 14:12

I meant to say that I went to pick up the aster skirt and postman said to me ahhhh….toast and hush parcels..always the same shape. We know they are yours Blush

eh..thanks for that!!!

I think I need to stop..for a while anway.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 14:12

@not, yes that's them. They are vans. Normally RRP at around £60

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 14:13

The first day of full on hayfever for me. So out with the anti-histamines for the first time this year.

twosoups1972 · 21/06/2019 14:16

Just catching up!

We've had a lovely night away. Dh dropped dd2 and I off on Wed afternoon at the hotel where we both had a facial then lounged around by the pool area. Dh killed a few hours doing a bit of shopping for work clothes then joined us at the hotel for dinner. Dinner was delish then we watched When Harry met Sally on netflix that dd had never seen before. Left the hotel after breakfast, went to the Henry Moore exhibition and then onto the cinema to see Late Night. Great film, really enjoyed it. Dd loved being an only child for a couple of days. Dh is back at work today and I am getting ready for dd3's return later tonight.

@neveradullmoment99 so sorry to hear such sad news. Cancer is indeed a bastard Sad

I have ordered the red Hush skirt Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 21/06/2019 14:25

Thanks @soups

Sounds like the perfect night out:)
Just washed my daisy dress [the one I was meant to post back in a 10] and was a bit panicked as it says it shrinks by 5% on the website. Have just measured it and it looks ok. We will see when it is fully dried and ironed. I had it on yesterday but felt it was needing it as I want to wear it on Monday.
