nink 🤣 yes, this is why interviews are so awful. Any nutter can act normal for the hour or so they last. And you just don't get their true selves til you're committed! Yy to being your own boss (apart from the whole no work/no pay aspect... But, hey...)

gin oh no... It would be great if you could come, but I appreciate its awkward. There is a good range of decent budget hotels, though Wink We should also come further south...

whisky I can't get on with the app either... Just couldn't figure out how it worked! So no, sorry, can't help... #nothelpful

miffy I like your style!! Always go for as many celebrations as possible Grin . You should make sure that your break is within easy reach of the meet up, and kill 2 birds with one stone as it were...

soy hope yore feeling fully stretched after pilates! Love those shoes... Esp the ballerina pumps. They are so cute with the perforations...

laska Bum is what I say. Though understand its a long way and you have lots of other things on your plate. The dress and dhuggie look lovely. Esp the dhuggie! You look really cool and effortless... Will be great for lounging around on the beach/ evening drinks Grin. The scarf is a beauty too.

Hello Hushistas

I've been lurking for a few weeks, but I wanted to quickly delurk just to say that I enjoy this thread very much. I completely understand why you would want to take discussions about meet-ups and other private stuff off board (and knowing you have would probably make me feel better about lurking Smile) but I very much hope you will still carry on posting here about fashion and about life, as I find you and your chats really inspirational on both counts.

X

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 20:30

Awww...Roussillon, thank you so much. We aren't going anywhere :)

Laska2Meryls · 20/06/2019 20:33

I have just looked at Flybe flights for that date to Edinburgh anyway .. (it would be cheaper than train and much easier from here )... but Shock.(over £200! ) Id only be able to do it if i booked in well in advance when they have a sale . .and I'd need a hotel for a couple of nights too..

On another note, went to visit my relative that has been given just a few months to live suddenly. I cannot believe how accepting she has become of it. It made me feel a mixture of sadness and absolute amazement at the bravery of facing death in the face. She looks fine just now and it is really hard to believe that she wont be here at Christmas time. I hate cancer.

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 20:36

Hi rousillon Thank you! Have some Wine Please do feel free to join in! I lurked for absolutely ages before joining, but it is a very lovely thread, and I don't think anyone wants it to disappear or anything. But I think it is useful to have arrangements made somewhere else (mostly so we don't clog up this thread with that kind of stuff... Though we already seem to have filled a few pages!!). Plus the odd personal thing that we wouldn't necessarily want anyone off the Internet to be able to see. Hope we still post our pics here. I know I love seeing how everyone styles things, and I don't want that to go somewhere else...

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 20:37

@Laska2Meryls air b n b?
I cant really commit to it either as its when my ds is expecting to have his baby but in principle, its fine for now.

Dinkydoos · 20/06/2019 20:46

De lurking also, I love this thread!
My latest parcel came today. Got the Jamie in the animal print as I wore last years black one to absolute death. Am quite norky, so got the medium which is loose but handy for holiday over indulging. And also kept another raglan top in pale blue, have a couple already but they are v useful
Tried the black and white striped dress but just not sure...
Hope you keep this thread going!

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 20:47

Ooof laska yy, that is expensive. Poss because it is half term for lots of English schools? It's a couple of weeks later than half term up here cos schools go back mid August (child cruelty as far as I'm concerned, as I'm English and all) and the kids are shattered by the end of September!

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 20:52

Oh never. Really sorry to hear that Sad. What a hard day for you... Yy it is a bastard. Thanks for setting up the board BTW... It looks really useful.. Will have to remember it for future.

Laska2Meryls · 20/06/2019 20:55

never I love the ebay toast shirt on you and the aster skirt also. Are you keeping the Chambray one now as well? ..

Yeah, maybe Not . the last time I flew to Edinburgh we paid about £35 each way ..(was few years ago) but when Flybe have their next sale , ill see what I can get.. .air bnb or premier inn is fine.. .

👋to dinky too! Is the sizing on the animal print Jamie similar to the black one do you think? I've just got the black one and love it... Also i like the striped one, which I got in a fit of sweatiness in last summers heatwave, but haven't worn since. I sized down a lot as that was all that was available at the time, and it's good. Hope it warms up again soon cos I want to wear it again and be all swishy.

Laska2Meryls · 20/06/2019 21:10

never Flowers.. so hard ..

I went with DF to the crem today to lay some flowers for Mum.. We made a posy from the garden of the ones she loved.. Sad , but strangely ok as well. Its the first time i have been back since the funeral in December .. (I just couldnt before).

Welcome Roussillon (do you live there or nearby ?) and Dinky , Glad you have delurked! Do come say hello more often!

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 21:18

Thanks everyone. @Laska, yeh, just cause it was reduced again. I love the aster skirt. Its beautiful.

Dinkydoos · 20/06/2019 21:25

sheep I think the animal jamie is similar size, but the material seems thinner so I wouldn’t like it tight as would cling and not in a good way!
I wore the black loads especially on holiday and know I will wear the new one.
Try it!

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 21:26

Oh never Thanks a hard day for you.

Who posted about passion fruit gin? I've just been to Aldi and bought some. Shall be sampling this weekend.

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 21:26

And Thanks for you too laska

Dinkydoos · 20/06/2019 21:27

And love that skirt on you laska. Tempted to try it but never sure I end up wearing skirts as can never seem to find tops that work with them

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 21:48

Oh laska. Difficult day for you too. Flowers But so nice you could chose the flowers she loved.

Thanks dinky. I've lost it on the website now, though... I'm sure it was there when I looked yesterday! Know what you mean about skirts/tops!! Dresses are so much easier (until you need to put anything over the top of them... then the same issues apply.)

Roussillon849 · 20/06/2019 22:09

Thank you all for the welcome. I live in rainy old England, alas, not France.

Sorry to read your sad news, @neveradullmoment99 and @Laska2Meryls .

GinandGingerBeer · 20/06/2019 22:26

My whistles skirt came but I think I'm going to return it. It fits as in I can fasten it ok (it being elasticated at the back probably helps!) but as it's a wrap style, there's just not enough material for me to be confident wearing it unless I've had the strimmer out! Grin

Hush viera should have been delivered but coming tomorrow now. Oliver bobas is ready for collection but may have to wait until Saturday.

It's going to be an odd weekend with DH in the states .... I'm tired though so will be nice to catch up on some box sets he's not bothered about.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 22:35

Thanks @Roussillon849 and welcome :)

SoyYo · 20/06/2019 23:59

Just caught up 😅
I had a stressful experience post Pilates this eve...tell you later. I’m fine so don’t worry.

Just wanted to say never I’m so very sorry about your SIL I think she is? So sad. Wishing you strength Flowers
I don’t know how I missed your pics but just went back to look and found the eBay toast shirt and aster maxi and both look so beautiful 😍

laska the pain will dull eventually but there’s not a single day that goes by when I don’t think of my mother and she passed away 11 years ago. Bereavement is like that...
Love the patterned dress which has a name I can’t remember and the scarf is lush. The plain dress looks good too but do you need another plain dress?

Hello to Rousillon thank you for the very kind comment and Hope you’ll stick around. And hello to Dinky too! I have the animal print Jamie from last year and wear it lots. Washes like a dream and doesn’t need ironing! Result 👍

gin shame about the skirt. I’m hoping the happy Flamenco 💃 red one tomorrow will cheer you up and you won’t give the wrap skirt a second thought

justilou1 · 21/06/2019 01:00

@neveradullmoment99 - so very sorry to hear your news too! Cancer is bloody awful. People are amazing, aren’t they? Even though my mum had MH problems and was “difficult”, she said that when she knew she was dying from cancer, strangely it was the best time of her life. Probably because her priorities shifted and she chose to put her attention on people and those feelings.... I hope your relative surrounds herself with the people she loves most and feels that, too.
