Previous thread

What neon shade will HM wear? Will the DoE attend? Will Kate have a new coat dress? Will Meghan make an appearance? And which of us will be able to identify every random Windsor on the balcony?

All will be revealed tomorrow...

Ooh, new thread! Lovely

AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/06/2019 19:06

I'm hoping for all three Cambridge children.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/06/2019 19:08

And Harry or Meghan carrying Archie in a sling!

Re Diana and Fergie I've said it before on earlier threads but I vividly remember seeing a TV segment with a picture editor for either a newspaper or magazine in the 80s. He carefully explained that for pictures of Diana the best, most flattering one was used and it would be airbrushed/touched up if there were any imperfections while for Fergie they would pick the least flattering one. I still remember all these years later how blatant it was.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/06/2019 19:13

Yes that would be amazing Queen

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/06/2019 19:16

@GrumbleBumble I've also read that Diana used to tip off the press with unflattering stories about Fergie and in return they'd always paint her in a good light!

Title made me laugh!

GrumbleBumble · 07/06/2019 19:20

Queen I was so shocked that someone would be filmed admitting that they deliberately set out to make some look bad! It was such a cruel way to treat someone.

EleanorReally · 07/06/2019 19:23

oh its tomorrow isnt it?

EleanorReally · 07/06/2019 19:23

poor fergie.
she's great imo

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/06/2019 19:24

Weather forecast for tomorrow doesn't look great. It's predicted to rain until midday. What time does it all kick off?

yellowalstroemeria · 07/06/2019 19:33

Events begin at approximately 10.00am, with the fly-past at 1.00pm.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/06/2019 19:35

What time do the royals get trotted out in the carriages? It won't be much fun if they're closed carriages!

OP posts:
Kedgeree · 07/06/2019 19:36

Grumble Cherie Blair got the same treatment as Fergie from most of the papers. I think it was the DM (of course) who only used pics of her with her mouth wide open. Nasty, misogynistic stuff.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/06/2019 19:38

I've knew a few people who'd met Cherie in a professional capacity and they all said she's far more attractive in person. Which would make sense if the only photos ever published of her were bad ones!

According to this
11:00 (precisely)

HM The Queen arrives on Horse Guards Parade to take the Royal Salute.

The Queen then reviews Her Guards riding slowly down the ranks of foot guards and cavalry in a carriage.

During the parade The Colour is Trooped through the ranks before the Foot Guards march past The Queen.

Then the Household Cavalry and Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery rank past.

12:20

HM The Queen, at the head of Her Guards, returns up The Mall to Buckingham Palace.

12:20

HM The Queen, at the head of Her Guards, returns up The Mall to Buckingham Palace.

At the gates of Buckingham Palace HM The Queen dismounts from the carriage and mounts a dais to watch the parade march past in salute.

12:52

Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery fire a 41 Gun Salute in The Green Park to celebrate The Queen's Official Birthday.

12:55 (approximately)

HM The Queen and other members of the Royal Family make a balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace.

13:00

Fly Past by the Royal Air Force

MotherofPearl · 07/06/2019 19:43

Meanwhile I'd love to know what both Kate and Meghan's secret is to having a sleek ponytail that doesn't involve their hair lying too flat against their head!

Well @QueenOfTheAndals one person we know definitely can't help you with this is CPV!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 07/06/2019 19:49

Thanks for the new thread Queen, great title as ever!

And thank you @yellowalstroemeria for the order of events tomorrow. The weather isn't looking promising.

SunshineCake · 07/06/2019 20:00

Brilliant title!

Baby in a sling would send the media into full shock mode Grin 👶

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/06/2019 20:11

In a way, Archie is the perfect age for it. He'd just snooze through in the sling and be no trouble, while Kate struggles to stop Louis climbing over the balcony!

Thank you QueenoftheAndals

IHeartArya · 07/06/2019 20:36

Thank you Queen

I remember seeing that too Grumble

A very cruel way to treat someone. She didn’t stand a chance. Fergie was ‘breath of fresh air’, sounds familiar doesn’t it? Angry
