Previous thread

What neon shade will HM wear? Will the DoE attend? Will Kate have a new coat dress? Will Meghan make an appearance? And which of us will be able to identify every random Windsor on the balcony?

All will be revealed tomorrow...

WIlliam is on a horse, along with Ann, Charles and Andrew
where is Edward?

Phoningliz · 08/06/2019 11:03

I think William and Charles are on horse back, behind HM. Princess Royal and a non-royal are also with them.

Phoningliz · 08/06/2019 11:04

Edward was in a carriage.

EleanorReally · 08/06/2019 11:05

subtitles talking about Royal Kernals
Shock Grin

megletthesecond · 08/06/2019 11:05

How come Harry isn't on parade?

I've got 10yr old DD into it Blush despite me being a huge lefty. DD always wants to see the little royals.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/06/2019 11:06

Is Edward usually on a horse? I thought he rides in a carriage with Sophie. Why is Harry not on horseback? Is it only the monarch's children and heirs to the throne who ride in the Trooping?

EleanorReally · 08/06/2019 11:07

perhaps harry isnt in charge of a cavalry

Horsemad · 08/06/2019 11:08

Royal Kernals 🤣🤣🤣

CourageCalls · 08/06/2019 11:10

Harry is not a colonel. There are the five royal colonels and two non royals there today. Although the DoK is in a carriage not on a horse.

Ninkaninus · 08/06/2019 11:11

Doesn’t she look so much like her mum here?

I am a bit behind ..but but but ....why is the Queen on her own.
Was she on her own last year ?

Phoningliz · 08/06/2019 11:16

God she has a miserable resting face.

I guess she doesn't feel alone, surrounded by all of her troops. Just wish that she had a companion.

CourageCalls · 08/06/2019 11:16

The colonels are regimental colonels (not to be confused with the rank of colonel) who look after the regiments interests. It dates back to the time when colonels owed and funded their own regiments (17thC)

Phoningliz · 08/06/2019 11:23

Do women lower the gaze to the Colour? HM appeared to look down there, and earlier when Harry saluted from the carriage, all three duchesses seemed to lower their gaze.

AngeloMysterioso · 08/06/2019 11:23

So Kate’s in pastel coat dress again
And Meghan’s in navy blue again

With a virtually unlimited wardrobe budget you’d think they could be a bit more adventurous?

Gooseysgirl · 08/06/2019 11:26

@yellowalstroemeria exactly what I was thinking!!! Good on her 😄

EleanorReally · 08/06/2019 11:26

I like the pastel, navy blue seems out of place, guess what we are used to

queenofarles · 08/06/2019 11:28

What going on with Meghan’s eyes !! Is it the makeup?, it can’t be Botox 😳
Kate’s coat dress looks really nice.

EleanorReally · 08/06/2019 11:28

The queen has had such a busy week!

CourageCalls · 08/06/2019 11:38

I wonder what some of our overseas friends on this thread and in general think of these types of things. It's a show of pure pageantry and ceremony the army hasn't used colours on the battlefield in over 100 years. Does the rest of the world marvel at our pomp or think we are mental for watching people marching in time with silly hats on??

TSSDNCOP · 08/06/2019 11:38

She looks like I do when I've not had a good night, bless her.

TSSDNCOP · 08/06/2019 11:40

Is Neghans coat the one she wore at Eugenie's wedding?

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/06/2019 11:47

Indeed @CourageCalls, I wonder what Meghan thinks of it?

OP posts:
EleanorReally · 08/06/2019 11:50

Megan still is a new mum, tired mum

Ninkaninus · 08/06/2019 11:55

I imagine that Meghan probably understands it better than most and likely feels quite comfortable with the role-playing aspect of it, given that her career has been played out in the performance/pageantry arena.
