Vol85 was far too slow and hopefully a shiny new thread will get us all excited again.

Lots has been going on with lots of stress for many of us but our love of fashion and friendship keeps us here.

Wardrobe plan?
As in think about new stuff going with what I already have? Yes, I do that always, everything has to work together.

DryWhiteagainW · 24/08/2019 21:41

But, my wardrobe is bursting it has to be said...I’m a terrible hoarder of clothes

shopafrolic · 24/08/2019 22:46

Would love to do a wardrobe edit on all the Voguette s wardrobes

shopafrolic · 24/08/2019 23:00

Twice a year I take everything out of my wardrobe. Check what I have, what still works, what doesn’t, and make a list of anything new season that I want / need. I don’t always stick to it but it helps to stop multiple purchases. But then i’m quite a fashion geek and I don’t like shopping (prefer online).

MarshaBradyo · 24/08/2019 23:11

I should do that just to get rid of old stuff I no longer wear

shopafrolic · 25/08/2019 08:31

It’s really good to completely empty your wardrobe and see what you want to put back in. It’s also terrifying how dirty the rail and inside of the wardrobe gets Blush

DryWhiteagainW · 25/08/2019 09:01

Think that could be my job for today.

The problem Shop is that I love all of my stuff and get sentimentally attached to the memories linked to many items, and, because I love the clothes I have, I always think if it still fits maybe I’ll wear it one day. I’m ashamed to admit I have items in my wardrobe that are 20+ years old! Because I’m fairly classic the good stuff won’t date.....or so I tell myself.
Funnily enough decluttering everything else (and everyone else’s wardrobes) is not an issue. I’ve been doing it all summer as you know. But I’m not so ruthless with my things.
The other problem I have is if I find a style that suits me then I buy loads .........broderie tops (8) single breasted wool/cashmere coats (4) high necked LS patterned shirts (7) black trousers for work (6)...........

I’m going to get it all out today .......

shopafrolic · 25/08/2019 09:05

Yes. Do it. And send me pics.

DryWhiteagainW · 25/08/2019 09:18

Ok.
Actually you got me on the dust Smile

DryWhiteagainW · 25/08/2019 09:32

And shop or any other skin care experts ....how often do you use face wash? My everyday cleansing routine is cleanser/toner/moisturiser and occasionally (if I’m in the shower) face wash.

Dreamqueen · 25/08/2019 10:14

Oh Shop if you lived closer to me I'd let you loose in my wardrobe in a heartbeat. I've got clothes in 3 different sizes that I hope to fit back into someday but I know if I ever manage to slim back down they'll be out of style. Like dry I have no problem decluttering everywhere else.

Anoth skin question, has anyone had a galvanic facial or micro needling?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/08/2019 10:42

Dry what's the difference between cleanser and face wash?! Do you mean a non foaming cleanser and a foaming wash? my dermatologist has just switched me onto a new cleanser, CeraVe, I really like it so far.

I really need a wardrobe clear out but I don't know when I'm going to have the time or opportunity now. Shop come round please!

Good to see you back One, the cruise looked fab and glad you had a great time.

I can't believe how hot it is! And we go away on Thursday when it's meant to get cooler here Grin I've just bought this belt bag for holiday and really looking forward to being completely hands free. Also I bought a new wash bag, very unstylish but great reviews and I'm so excited to pack it all neatly Blush

Dreamqueen · 25/08/2019 12:50

I've got a similar washbag Blair it's a game changer.

DryWhiteagainW · 25/08/2019 13:16

Oh my goodness, I have emptied one wardrobe so far, I’m so embarrassed, I have so much crap.....

shopafrolic · 25/08/2019 13:31

I use a non foaming face wash in the shower every morning Dry, then eye cream, moisturiser and sun cream - then I double cleanse, acid tone, serum, eye cream and moisturise at night. 2 or 3 times a week I use a retinol.

shopafrolic · 25/08/2019 14:07

Don’t panic Voguettes I am guiding Dry through the wardrobe clearing process on FaceTime (I may start charging) Grin
If anyone wants to pay me in Provençal rosé I’m happy to travel.

shopafrolic · 25/08/2019 14:08

Oh and Dream I occasionally micro needle at home (although they are not as long as the facial needles).

MarshaBradyo · 25/08/2019 14:13

Ha you should both have a drink while you do that, be firm Shop good luck Dry

Reading all your regimes is making me Blush tg for big sunnies

Remember those Marant clogs that nearly got me kicked off. I’ve found others (worse)
If I like let me know Y or N pls

MarshaBradyo · 25/08/2019 14:14

Blair that’s a great bag, how mobile is miniBlair? Now is a good time to go

shopafrolic · 25/08/2019 15:36

link Marsha
I read an article this morning about a woman who wore Crocs for a week. She almost got me wanting some and then I checked myself. They must have a good PR team at the moment.

DryWhiteagainW · 25/08/2019 16:05

It’s exhausting....I’m having a break with a Solero in the garden. I’m being ruthless

Themarvellousmrsm · 25/08/2019 16:41

Sounds like you're 'on it' Dry. Next step is to remove it from the house before you crack & sneak a few items back into your wardrobe Shop you'll need to be extra vigilant Grin

I've been ruthless for the last couple of years and now have a somewhat empty wardrobe which needs building back up but have found myself to be extremely picky!

Dream not long now, you must be so excited

I use a foaming face wash most days but intersperse with with a micellar water type lotion - both clarins. I think I'd like another type cleanser/double cleanse to add in some days particularly when I've been wearing the full works makeup wise

Themarvellousmrsm · 25/08/2019 17:01

Forgot to say Marsha I tend to use citronella candles outside but mozzies are not to keen on me thankfully; they rather like dh and absolutely love ds2! I do remember the clogs - nothing wrong with a comfy shoe i draw the line at crocs

The toiletries bag look so useful Blair - much more organised than the jumble that I take with me

DryWhiteagainW · 25/08/2019 17:56

Four bin bags full, I’m exhausted , have a couple of drawers to do tomorrow. That wasn’t the day in the sun I’d planned but feel pleased I’ve cracked it (dresses were the hardest, I may need to have a look at them again tomorrow)

Blingysolightly · 25/08/2019 19:07

Hello Voguettes! It's been a long whileSmile

First proper family weekend for us in months, but i have been abandoned by the family - clearly too much of mummy is a good thingHmmGrin so thought I would drop in and say hello.

Have tried to read back a bit, but I am sure i have missed loads so I will just say big squishy hello to everyone.

Dry, I will be doing my annual clear out in a couple of weeks time. My rule is that if i haven't worn it in the last year, and i am not keeping it for sentimental or practical reasons then it needs to go.You do have to be ruthless i am afraid!

Shop, if poor miniShop needs a mosquito repeller then i recommend this Incognito natural insect repellent spray. Otherwise, I burn citronella incense sticks and also have mosquito killer lamps in the 2 areas of the garden where we see mosquitoes.

Fashion hasn't been top of mind for a long time but I was admiring this white MaxMara wool wrap coat a few days ago. Not very appropriate for todayGrin
