Vol85 was far too slow and hopefully a shiny new thread will get us all excited again.

Lots has been going on with lots of stress for many of us but our love of fashion and friendship keeps us here.

Can’t quite imagine you in those marsha
I had a gap delivery yesterday with some cropped flared striped trousers. I looked like a clown Grin

Does anyone use Chanel make up? I have a makeover booked tomorrow as it’s free and I need new powder (usually use Laura mercier). Is there anything worth trying?

dream that’s fabulous news

I swapped out my Chanel loose powder and will now only use Hourglass QueenC (sorry)
I use Chanel waterproof eye pencils which are fab, I used to use their eyebrow pencil and I used to use their foundation but they are quite powdery which does not suit my ageing face anymore. Lipsticks a plenty though!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/05/2019 13:47

Hi all, thanks for new thread QueenC! I apologise for being slack at posting lately, life is busier than I could have imagined even though this week was my first 3 day work week (and was very nice with the weather).

QueenC love the Blair link Grin I was actually going to wear my new headband today but I'm wearing my glasses so didn't want to do head accessories overload. I wear Chanel blusher (the stick one) and love it and I also have the eye pencil shop mentioned, I don't wear it every day or anything as it is difficult to scrub off!

Fedup you can never have too many emojis! Star

Dream sounds like the best place for MrDream, hopefully it will help with a speedy recovery.

Marsha just no to the clogs! Love the shoes pic.

Got my sister's hen do this weekend which I have organised. I think I am going to wear Ralph Lauren dress and Uterque heels as they're really comfy. My other sister is pregnant again (I just found out yesterday) so looks like I will be drinking for 2 as she's only 9 weeks and needs me to cover for her. Wine

shopafrolic · 16/05/2019 17:28

Congrats to your sister Blair
Dream I hope the rehab place is close by - we had to trek for miles for DF. Amazing things happen in those places. Wishing you all the best as always x

DryWhiteagainW · 16/05/2019 18:30

Marsha who?

DryWhiteagainW · 16/05/2019 18:32

Dream great news...all heading in the right direction .

Blair that is a wonderful dress, I LOVE it. You’ll look beautiful.

Marsha just kidding........

I’m with shio on the Hourglass powder ....remember she marched me into their counter in Libertys and I was totally smitten (need more blusher)

The Whistles dress has arrived

DryWhiteagainW · 16/05/2019 18:34

this one more floaty than I normally go for but actually totally fabulous on. Great for any small waisted pears out there. I love it. (Crosses fingers for hot day on MU because that’s what I’ll be wearing)

VivaVegas · 17/05/2019 07:33

Lovely dress Dry.
I do like Whistles and in particular their dresses, but they like other higher end high street have definitely had huge price increases in the last couple of years.

MarshaBradyo · 17/05/2019 09:58

Lovely dress Dry great for our MU

Where do we want to go this time? I haven’t booked the usual, maybe we want something different - outside possibly for maximum style & wafting about

MarshaBradyo · 17/05/2019 10:37

Blair lovely outfit have a great time

MarshaBradyo · 17/05/2019 10:40

QueenC I really like something called Chanel Le Blanc as a base. It was really useful at work in the drier air but I don’t wear it at home

QueenCerise · 17/05/2019 11:13

I love that dress dry. I will have to up my game!
blair gorgeous dress
marshs tricky one. The current venue works so well in terms of price point and people arriving late.

Just spent £150 in Chanel. Powder and blusher (both needed) and eyeliner, lipstick and highlighter

Love Chanel packaging for make up

If everyone could say what they prefer I can just book the usual if we want

QueenCerise · 17/05/2019 14:06

Tried on more striped trousers which were less clown like. But I have a long waist to crotch and my tummy isn’t flat so trousers don’t lie flat and therefore the lines get stretched/distorted in my usual size. If I size up they’re too big and make me look super wide!! I’ll stick to jean!

Hello, place-marking as not much to report. Life is taken up with extension, had joiner round today, working out what the pantry cupboard will look like.

Am in a fashion slump, it's freezing again, in desperate need of summer to lift my spirits. I keep seeing people in RL wearing midi dresses & Chelsea boots. It's a good look I think. Also in need of new trainers but no idea what I want.

DryWhiteagainW · 17/05/2019 21:18

Marsha I’m easy re venue. Like usual, shame they kick us out after a while though. Happy to stay with that, equally happy to try new. Waffling sound good though......

libertyonhertravels · 18/05/2019 10:32

I'm easy re venue too Marsha - just cannot wait to see you all.

Lovely dress dry.

Dream great to hear DH has moved to rehab.

libertyonhertravels · 18/05/2019 10:34

And I literally almost choked at those clog Marsha - great response shop Grin

Stokey I'm hankering after some Chelsea Boots too.

MarshaBradyo · 18/05/2019 10:41

Really?! Are they that bad! I used to love a clog when I was young totally rocked them, I’ll have to share a pic

I also would wear socks more if I wasn’t so 40 love a good sock. Living vicariously through dd’s knee socks in peach etc

MarshaBradyo · 18/05/2019 10:50

Who even are you?!

Someone to me right now

MarshaBradyo · 18/05/2019 15:31

(I mean someone could say that to me right now)

Ok I looked at the pics and I concede they are a bit shite 😂

If I kill the thread with this I’ll despair but I reckon it was long enough ago no one will recognise me - plus who even reads this

MarshaBradyo · 18/05/2019 15:32

emoji Hmm

And cut my feet off Hmm

VivaVegas · 18/05/2019 16:14

Bought 2 dresses in Jigsaw, no where to wear them at the moment and can only keep one but couldn't decide which in the changing room and only had ballet flats on. Need to try with heels and flat sandals. They have 20% off like Whistles but not on everything.
blue dress
black dress

VivaVegas · 18/05/2019 16:20

Saw a few things in Whistles that I liked but didn't buy. Saw Drys dress which is beautiful.
holiday jumpsuit
black dress
silver sandals

shopafrolic · 18/05/2019 17:12

Love those dresses Viva my kind of shapes.
DH has got a promotion!!!! So we went shopping Grin
25% off everything in Karen Millen including sale so I bought:
Halter neck top to wear with Zara tailored shorts
Studded T-shirt it has studs on the shoulders too and looks good with jeans and my studded boots]]
Linen mix Bardot top to wear with denim shorts
Sweater with mesh detail on shoulders on the sale rack and my colours and style
Linen mix jumpsuit a bit orangey but the fit is amazing and it will look good with a tan. Just need to figure out shoes and bag.
