Vol85 was far too slow and hopefully a shiny new thread will get us all excited again.

Lots has been going on with lots of stress for many of us but our love of fashion and friendship keeps us here.

Ah cross post with Dry. Not sure you have enough sun lotion. Nice colour nail varnish

Themarvellousmrsm · 31/07/2019 11:13

We have an old tea chest you can borrow Dry if you need to ship out the toiletries separately....

I might be a little bit bored at work today!

Themarvellousmrsm · 31/07/2019 11:27

What do you all think of this kimono?

Been after one for ages and have found a few I really like on that website. Are they still a thing or best suited as a dressing gown?

DryWhiteagainW · 31/07/2019 13:28

How were you thinking of wearing it?

Applefairy · 31/07/2019 14:11

Shop I also recommend the Becca backlit primer. Hourglass veil is also good

Themarvellousmrsm · 31/07/2019 14:22

Hmm, don't think I've thought it through properly! Would probably wear with skinnies/crops with a fairly plain top underneath. So dress up a basic outfit. I think I'd get more wear as a dressing gown.

Dreamqueen · 31/07/2019 14:58

Great namechange MrsM

Dry i thought your windowsill was quite moderate.Smile I'm no good at packing lightly either.

shopafrolic · 31/07/2019 20:15

I wear mine as a dressing gown MrsM (no idea how to best shorten your name). I feel like they are best with denim shorts and vest tops at festivals.....

shopafrolic · 31/07/2019 20:17

Off to google the Becca primer

shopafrolic · 31/07/2019 20:18

is it this one?

VivaVegas · 31/07/2019 20:32

I'm rubbish at packing, it really stresses me out no matter how organised I try to be.
Am away in the sun, plucked up the courage to bring DC away for a week on my own. Better than expected but feel like the only single parent in a sea of families and couples.
However we had a flight delay and turbulence on the way out (I'm a rubbish flyer) and we did ok.
Need to sort my hair out, have had a bob for years and growing it out but the sides just don't grow and with the humidity it's annoying me more than ever, the back is now about 4 inches longer than the sides, how does that happen?!

Themarvellousmrsm · 31/07/2019 21:11

Can just about manage the odd rock chic look but feel festival chic is a chic too far Grin

Well done Viva stepping out of your comfort zone & taking dc's away-sure it must be hard for you but sounds like you're doing great so far.

DryWhiteagainW · 31/07/2019 23:13

Ok, help me with my yellow castaners. I love them but I have not worn them at all yet this summer. I really want to take them because they’re just such a happy colour. I’m thinking with plain dresses, black and navy, as a statement, or with denim shorts. What do you think ?

Themarvellousmrsm · 01/08/2019 08:40

Go for it Dry, yellow works so well with black & navy

VivaVegas · 01/08/2019 11:23

I'd agree Dry I'm sure they'd look good with either of those colours and with denim shorts and top.
Especially with a tan.
I'm living in tailored shorts, strappy or off shoulder tops and jewelled or studded flat sandals in the evening.

DryWhiteagainW · 01/08/2019 20:47

So it turns out it is practically impossible to fill 30kg luggage allowance....I’ve tried Grin ....think my max is 25.....I haven’t packed light.

kittyhello · 01/08/2019 22:41

Dry are you SC or AI. If SC I love heading to the nearest supermarket and buying up a load of local toiletries. Can't wait to hit Mercadona. Think I spent far too long in their beauty aisle last year. Grin

Love the name change Marvellous have you cottoned on yet Shop? Grin I like the kimono.

Viva well done on taking dc away on your own. I was a bit anxious flying alone with my dc earlier this year but it was much better than I expected.

APC sandals got returned sadly. They looked too clumpy on me. Cost £10 to return. That'll teach me to not look at the returns charges - was seduced by free delivery.

Lib we can still talk autumn/winter clothing as it was blowing a gale here the other day. Let me know how you get on with the culottes.

I am strangely drawn to these pink trousers

DryWhiteagainW · 01/08/2019 22:46

Kitty SC AL? Qué?

DryWhiteagainW · 01/08/2019 22:47

AI infact....no clearer

DryWhiteagainW · 01/08/2019 22:49

Google says “Silent chuckle” and “artificial intelligence”.....Confused
Kitty are you speaking in code? Or am I just past it? Grin
