Oh yes. Near....And Far Away....😂

..nothing like FatherTed

dontcallmelen · 16/05/2019 12:15

Blinking love that programme, I swear Mrs Doyle is my late MiL reincarnated😂 Nink it’s great when that happens, I’m feeling all virtuous bag sounds great & very versatile happy days.

justilou1 · 16/05/2019 12:20

Me too for Father Ted!!! God I loved that show!!!

NotAnActualSheep · 16/05/2019 12:54

yy to father ted Grin DS has the words to My Lovely Horse off pat we sing it so much. Also, the Small...and Far Away - I did some work with a group of people who I knew were My Kind of People when they used that method for describing how a wind turbine would look, when a protest group were doing the "it'll be 26 double decker buses stacked on top of each other" thing...

Thanks huff - I'll give that a go in the "legs that haven't seen sun in 20 years" shade. May also try the l'oreal one laska has once i've finished my current dove one, as it sounds a bit cheaper.

And yes - I love it when you realise you have basically the same thing that you've been wanting already! Well done len - and also the crossbody nink.

Like the bags - I know what you mean about really needing to stay away from this thread nink...Though honestly I'm rubbish with bags - I just throw everything in the same old rucksack and have done with it. Im not very good at moving things between bags - and end up having to be a packhorse for DS and DH anyway, so its just easiest. Also, I can just see a straw bag getting covered in sand and child juices immediately (even if nowhere near a beach)..

I'm still resisting laska (also, I have now developed a desire for never's studded sandals as a gateway drug into the world of "not giving a toss about toes").

I’ve just bought these :)

Sproketthedog · 16/05/2019 13:03

Hi all, just wondering if there is a discount code around at the moment - has the gratzia one expired?

Loving reading you all, sorry for being so quiet...

🥰

Binkybix · 16/05/2019 13:06

Oh and we’ll done cherry’s DD Flowers

Ninkaninus · 16/05/2019 13:09

sheep you have to get those sandals! Your toes deserve to be out in the sunshine!

len Whenever I find a bonus item like that I find it’s best to get it out and use it straightaway, somehow it feels so joyful and you tend to forget about the other one you wanted. I’m going to wear my bag today! 😊

NotAnActualSheep · 16/05/2019 13:25

Ah, feck it. I have no self control. Have given them a go (can always return). And the khaki wren which has been taunting me. Sigh. Need to do more work now to make back the cost...

I can confirm the grazia code is still working sprocket. 👋👋👋 by the way. Hope you're well!

binky love your sandals. Really pretty and a lovely colour.

Ninkaninus · 16/05/2019 13:38

Sandals are gorgeous, never and *.

sheep before you try your sandals on, find yourself a lovely deep, red varnish for your nails. Perfect sophisticated, elegant colour, goes with everything and most importantly makes your feet look 100% more pretty.

Ninkaninus · 16/05/2019 13:42

Sigh dunno what happened with predictive text there...

never and binky your sandals are great!

twosoups1972 · 16/05/2019 13:46

twosoups1972 · 16/05/2019 13:48

MD one is much nicer, better length and lovely quality leather. I’ve also noticed that the Whistles one has a weird jersey bit on the sleeve

Ninkaninus · 16/05/2019 13:50

I’d go with the MD. from the links you posted previously I remember thinking it was the much nicer option.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/05/2019 14:10

Broderie top mmmm... bit boxy and pretty see through. Lovely in hand but unsure on. Blue skirt but don't have lots to match bit lovely colour.

Denim jacket i love

Huffthepuff · 16/05/2019 14:16

I like the MD better on you Soups

neveradullmoment99 · 16/05/2019 14:22

I think I am not that fussed for the broderie top and skirt together. Its a bit frumpy on me. The top is nice with jeans. The skirt would be better with a tee but the white broderie top is not me with the skirt.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/05/2019 14:22

I agree. The MD is much better :) Fits you nicely.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/05/2019 14:23

The whistles one looks bulkier and the fastening is better for your shape.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/05/2019 14:24

Oh and @melen, the embroidered jacket is true to size unless you have a flat chest then I think you may be able to go down a size.

NotAnActualSheep · 16/05/2019 14:49

nink - yes - i'll try the red polish. I have polished them with a pinky beige colour which looks much better than natural, but also slightly like they have died and are about to fall off (but at least they all look the same!) Red would be better - i agree.

soups - I agree with the others - the MD (assuming that is the longer one) is a nicer shape and I think more flattering in the way it hangs when undone. I assume the jersey thing on the whistles one is to cater for different arm thicknesses - like they do for boots (which annoys me, tbh)? And also to save them a bit of money... I'd be tempted to reject that one for that alone! Just no need... Having said that, it still looks nice on you - but I do think the other one is better.

never - I think the broderie top looks amazing under the denim jacket with the jeans you have on - really nice outfit. The top is very pretty, but it sounds as if you aren't sure - and you could probably find something less boxy, if that is what you want. I think for the price that kind of thing would have to be perfect! Jacket is lovely - and compared to the cost of the top is a bargain! Definitely keep that. I think the colour of the skirt is pretty versatile (any neutral - or navy, or even the bright green like the model with the shopping trolley here ) but agree the style could be tricky without looking frumpy. I agree a simple t shirt or vest top is probably best so you don't take away from the colour and swishyness of the skirt.

twosoups1972 · 16/05/2019 14:53

@never lovely jacket, really pretty and great for the summer.

@laska the Joules bag is lovely.

twosoups1972 · 16/05/2019 14:56

@never the broderie top is really pretty but I can see what you mean about it being see through. Is the back broderie too? Jacket is lovely, great colour.

Right does anyone want to enable me to keep the MD leather jacket? I love it so much and it's a classic item....I just feel guilty. It was £229 which is a good price I suppose right?

Ninkaninus · 16/05/2019 14:59

It’s a great price. And I always look at it this way: spending 2/3 as much (or whatever) on something that is almost there but not quite is a terrible waste of money. Much better to pay just a little more for something that is right.
