Just watching Badminton on TV and wondering if Princess Anne is there. She rocked up at the trade stand of the charity I used to work for once, completely on her own, in jeans and a polo shirt and carrying bags of shopping from the other stands, and just about gave the chief executive a heart attack

I expect an announcement today so it hits the Sunday papers. Maybe an announcement tomorrow for the bank holiday front pages would also work.

The Japanese royal family seem to share a dress pattern and tailor. All the dresses are the same basic shape with varying fabric and detail. And the hats. And the gloves. And the pearls. Very odd!!!

I think it looks awful. They don't have to wear mini-skirts but those outfits are so dowdy even the Amish would eschew them!

hope I lived abroad as a child and clothes were difficult to come by. One of the mums could sew - but only one pattern - so girls of all ages had the exact same dress in different fabrics and sizes.

Here are the royals at Grand Duke Jean's funeral. I know we shouldn't really comment on the fashion but I like Elisabeth of Belgium's coat and Margarethe II's hat! Mathilde looks very elegant too, I believe the late Duke was her husband's uncle.

In random style news I bought a Meghan-green silk dress today!

It's more a tunic really, will take a photo once DC is abed. By Sandro and only £9 in one of my local charity shops. I also bought an LK Bennett dress for £8, so I've channelled both duchesses today!!

Wow Queen, jealous of your local charity shops! Ours have more George from Asda and Sainsbury's Tu (nothing wrong with either but I'd love a proper bargain now and then)!

My best charity shop buy is the Prada handbag I got in the Oxfam off the King's Road!

Princess Anne is looking very old, she's only 68.

Anne does look quite a bit older than 68. I think her (and the Queen) have been dressing older since they were very young though.

Anne has an "outdoors" face, hence looks older than others the same age.

Anne has a horsewoman's face... she's spent a lot of time out in all weathers without spf, and it takes its toll. Camilla is similar!

Anne really takes after Queen Mary doesn't she? I don't know who the woman next to her is. In reply to a PP, I don't think she's Princess Alexandra.
