Seriously, my poor feet.. been running around all day bbq with family, people mucked in of course but what with prep and all , I still felt that I didnt sit much.. Then when I finally did , late afternoon/early evening still outside because its been so hot , I was attacked by effin ruddy, pesky bstd mosquitos!!,

So now I have blisters on my soles, sore heels and red lumpy and really itchy bites all around my ankles.. FFS !!

@Laska - glad you had a for the pain. Logical. Hate mosquitoes!!! I sent to a catholic primary school and got in enormous trouble for asking why Noah didn’t smash the two mosquitoes on the ark.... (Was a fairly literal kid - that teacher hated me!) Glad you’re enjoying the weather!!! My kids have slept in and enjoyed a disgusting American-style breakfast of waffles (my husband borrowed a waffle maker) and bacon with maple syrup followed by Easter eggs 🤮 so I am worried that there will be much laundry for me following the d&v bug earlier this week. Still can’t contemplate that combination of food on the same plate, either. Today we are going to visit my uncle and aunt who live on an island about an hour from here. The weather is tricky, so not beachy. Will be nice to see them though. Hard to decide what to wear!

... and of course its always the 'Tong Meister' (usually a a bloke and int his case DF) who gets the credit when it all comes to table !

I'm having a quiet day at home and garden today..

I've been up a while to do Easter bunny duties, youngest ds has managed a whole smarties egg for breakfast so far.
I'm having a quiet day too. So far my weekend has been spent painting garden fences, hours in A&E with eldest ds and clearing out the kitchen. It's my day off today.

He's okay never - he's torn a ligament playing football and take a slither of bone with it, knee brace and crutches for next 6 weeks, possibly surgery. Ruined his plans for driving lessons with his 17th birthday coming up 😢 we are gutted for him.

@Ella - hope DS’s knee feels better ASAP. Knees are tricksy little beggars. Hope he’s not got plans to be a professional sportsman or anything, as knees are also expensive.
@Laska - you are so right about the Tongmeister getting all the credit for standing by the Barbie with one hand on his hip spinning shit while flipping the dead flesh when not swilling beer, while we do the hunting and gathering, preparation, bump out and decontamination. They get thanked for providing and puff up with pride while we roll our eyes and then get on with it..... Sheesh!

Well my garden is still devastation central, no sign of tree people so we ended up going out for an early dinner rather than lunch, at the local tapas restaurant & oh my it was sooo lovely had forgotten how good it is, they also do amazing Gin & Elderflower cocktails, so have a slightly sore head this morning.

I am about to decamp to recliner with Sunday papers, I am not planning on moving and will expect cooling drinks to be brought to me today ..
We have left overs for today and DH is cooking ( not on the bbq!) Monkfish this evening..

I am considering ordering the black stripedT in the sale and either the cropped Monaco or black easy trousers. Anyone tried the Monaco ?

@Laska, I had the Monaco in navy for long enough and they were great. I got a 10 in them [sized down] I sold them on because they had faded considerably and for some reason just stopped wearing them when the amies came along. They are nice though. Thumbs up from me.

Sorry to hear about your son ella. We're up your way in the Motorhome. Stayed near Alnwick for the last 2 days and moving to budle bay tomorrow. It's absolutely stunning and we will definitely be coming back. Can't believe my Hush shorts have had their first wear in the north east in April!
