Lovely weather today so I got out the S/S playsuit I bought at the sample sale. DC asked if I was wearing my pyjamas but I thought it was a fun piece for a sunny day!

I know ella. Hopefully kielder on Wednesday and then over the border to Scotland. It's so beautiful up here and the greatest bookshop in Alnwick so if it rains for the rest of the week I'll be sorted. It reminds me a bit of home - Wales

Fuzzy hi, Good to hear from, you, hope you had a decnt Easter all things considered , and that DH is a bit better..
sansary you look really fab in the playsuit..

I ordered the stripe T , and feet allowing (still sore but blisters healing) and once I have tried them in some trainers am planning a trip over the water today to Southampton..

Going to have a look at the M&S khaki wide trousers, also those Fat Face ones , and a peek into JL particularly at the Hush, Jigsaw and Toast sections.. also curtains, we are planning painting the dining room..

SoyYo · 22/04/2019 09:41

I’m so supremely chilled catching up with the thread I just wanted to share a couple of pics of Cromer in the sunshine as we sat on the beach yesterday and watched the gentle waves. More of that today...perfect spring weather!

@soups sorry I’m late reading your request on CG hairdresser. The one I know in London is totally brill but she’s usually booked up months in advance Sad I’ll p.m. you her webpage so you can see if an appointment is available in the next few weeks...you may be lucky and worth checking in regularly as she does free up slots as people cancel.

@sansarya you look beautiful in the playsuit. Not many people can carry a play suit so well 😍

@justi hope visit to aunt/uncle is fun

@ella sorry to read about DS, poor chap! I fully sympathise having endured a fractured ankle and space boot for 6 months last summer...

@laska the thong master! Grin hope now you are fully recovered from the bbq manicness

@len did the tree men ever turn up? At least you got tapas and gin to forget about the garden mess

@granny totally agree the Northumberland coast is stunning. One of our best ever U.K. hols was when we hired a cottage in Warkworth near the castle, by the river and a short walk to the amazing beach. What a lovely place! And the Alnwick second hand bookshop is total heaven

@fuzzy nice to read you, Hope you’re getting a chance to just “be” Flowers

Laska2Meryls · 22/04/2019 09:49

grannycakes Envy at motorhome trip. . Hopefully we will get one later this year..

SoyYo · 22/04/2019 09:54

6 weeks of space boots...not 6 months (though it did feel like an eternity at the time)

Laska2Meryls · 22/04/2019 09:58

Soy Brilliant mistype! But dont think my DF is a Thong master !! ( but its true, that I have never enquired.....) GrinGrinGrin

SoyYo · 22/04/2019 10:19

😬🤣🤣🤣

neveradullmoment99 · 22/04/2019 11:00

Oh soy..you made me chuckle at that typo!!! Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 22/04/2019 11:02

Oh and beautiful scenery @soyo.
Let us know what all the hush stuff is like in RL and the khaki trousers @Laska.
Its stunning today again. Sadly I have to do some school reports :( bugger!

neveradullmoment99 · 22/04/2019 11:02

...and @sansary, you look fantastic in that playsuit. You have a gorgeous figure.

dontcallmelen · 22/04/2019 11:03

Granny sounds as though you are having a brilliant time.
Soy 😂 at thong, hopefully my Dh isn’t a Thongmeister 🤢views are beautiful.
Fuzzy have been thinking of you both, glad you are still standing & hoping Dh is a little better💐
Ella sending healing vibes to Ds.
Laska enjoy the shopping & hope blisters are healing.
Sans playsuit is gorgeous.
Bloody tree people didn’t show & yesterday realised that the cars MOT has run out, so now we have no car either 😫😫

SoyYo · 22/04/2019 11:08

It wasn’t even a typo Blush
It’s me being foreign and unable to distinguish tong vs thong spellings 🤦🏻‍♀️
I realised the moment @laska pointed it out Grin
My DH finds me hilarious too when I mix up English idioms (I’m very talented at that too), and I’ve long given up saying I change bed sheets...it’s always bed linen in my household Wink

Ellapaella · 22/04/2019 11:16

@SansaryaAgain you look amazing in the play suit - love it! 😍

Happy bank holiday Monday everyone - @FuzzyPuffling Sending good wishes and positive vibes xx

I'm at work in the office. Bit boring but so much to do before Rome at the end of the week. Did I mention Rome? AT THE END OF THE WEEK?!! So excited - DH and I have not been away on our own together for more than one night in 10 whole years.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/04/2019 11:16

awww @soyo, its cute!!! My gran was exactly the same. She came from Italy at 23 and died when she was 86. In all those years she never lost her accent, always said similar things Grin.

Ellapaella · 22/04/2019 11:17

And thanks everyone for thinking of my DS, his swelling has gone down a lot and he can weight bear with his knee brace on now. He's being very stoical.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/04/2019 11:17

@ella...so [envious] I am sure you will have a fantastic time :)

neveradullmoment99 · 22/04/2019 11:17

sorry Envy Grin

dontcallmelen · 22/04/2019 12:02

Aww Ella don’t blame you for being excited, I remember the first time we went away without dcs, I spent the whole time looking behind me wondering where they were😂

SoyYo · 22/04/2019 12:19

@never I had the parcel delivery man tell me I have a lovely accent only last week so yes I just take my linguistic faux pas in my stride now (been here since 18yo will never lose my soft foreign twang)

@Ella Rome end of the week!! Makes working on this beautiful Bank Hol Monday much more bearable! Excited for you and glad DS is okay

@len The tree men have overdone the Easter eggs eh...hopefully they’ll turn up tomorrow and offer a small token discount for the inconvenience

Right I’m off to comb the wild beaches in Norfolk 🦀🦀🦀

dontcallmelen · 22/04/2019 13:01

Soy I love an accent my DF was Irish & he lived here longer than in Ireland, but never lost his accent & I still use words that no one else knows what I mean, hot press for airing cupboard sliced pan for bread & ware for crockery, also say changing bed linen.
Dh is Irish as well & been here over forty years & still sounds as though he came here last week!

justilou1 · 22/04/2019 13:15

Hi ladies - visit was lovely, but can only last an afternoon. They're a leeeeeetle more right-wing than we are (they're old - whatcha gonna do?) and there is federal election coming up. Apart from that, they're actually quite adorable. Might have had to pinch my daughter a couple of times under the table. She got me once or twice, too. It was a pre-agreed cue. Have been up all night finishing an excruciatingly dry nursing law assignment that I naively thought sounded interesting. Very glad to put that one to bed. Tomorrow is WHS. If I am not in a coma by the end of the week I will be very much surprised. (Between that an election campaign.... zzzzz). Off to bed now, I have a very long drive up to school and to drop the forgotten chocolates to auntie.) Le sigh.

Laska2Meryls · 22/04/2019 16:02

On boat back . Mixed results .. I was a bit disappointed in JL and really so in Hush concession, I really didn't like anything much, exception was pink girlfriend chinos ang the red pink zebra summer dress ( like Greek widow shape) . however didn't get either.. otherwise in Jigsaw some nice £ ££ things.. Toasthad some lovely green pull on twill crops but12 too big . I have ordered 10 though, will link later..best was M&S !! I bought the khaki crops in short and another of those Flexi bras ..got to the till and found out it wasold stock it seems and £1.49 !!!😁 - so I went back for another!!

neveradullmoment99 · 22/04/2019 16:11

That's a pity about the hush stuff. It would be nice to see the toast trousers you ordered laska. Also a link to the bra. I hate the wires digging in. £1.49 sounds like a real bargain. At least you didn't come back empty handed :)
