Can you tell I have had my fair share of rain and kids stuck in!!

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 10:33

She’s three never we are playing with play doh at the moment, good idea with the wellies & puddles & then some glueing & sticking maybe?
You have reminded me that I bought some craft stuff from wilkos a few days ago.

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 10:34

Ooh thanks never will have a look.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:34

Sounds perfect :)

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:35

Not sure how much on twinkl is free but it is a great website. I also used to print off colouring sheets that were free online.

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 10:37

She would love the traffic one she obsessed with traffic lights, they are really good thank you.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:37

You could also print out puppets to decorate from children's stories. Or you could go on to pinterest there are literally hundreds of craft ideas and things to do for little ones.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:39

You would probably need to laminate any playdough mats. Not sure if everyone has a laminator. I have one cause I use it frequently for school.

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 10:44

Pin interest is a good idea don’t have a laminator here, but Dh does at work so he could do it I know she would enjoy the story element of the mats.
Thanks so much never she loves craft stuff.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:46

Happy to help :) Enjoy your crafting :)

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:47

Laska2Meryls · 27/04/2019 11:35

We are in a cafe right now, and going to adventure park rain or not ! But DGs being 6 makes it a bit easier

ilovecherries · 27/04/2019 11:57

Oh, ffs. DD was on her way for her MRI and someone has rammed into the back of her. She’s beside herself, has missed her appt and her car is a right old mess. I’m doing the ‘no one was hurt’ line but it’s the bloody last things she needs, and she is so upset. Suspect given the age of her car, it will be an insurance write off. Fortunately I’m replacing my car in two weeks, and was getting next to nothing for my old one so rather than trade it in, she can have it for the remainder of its 10 month MOT, but she loved her wee car. Will need to take mine back to Scotland for her tomorrow. I know, all sounds very #firstworld written down, but she saved hard for that car, needs it for work, and really doesn’t need any more worry right now. So upset for her, as a distraction from the ‘what ifs’.

@melen the rest of the room is quite neutral - cream leather sofa and brown print curtains. That's why I want to introduce a bright colour, planning on getting some pink cushions for the cream sofa to tie it all together. Looks like the pink herringbone is the fave! That's the one dh likes the most too.

@ella fab picture! Sounds like you're having a great time. Hope you manage to get some shopping in and are eating loads of gelato Smile

@laska love the what's in the box game, you sound like an ace grandma

twosoups1972 · 27/04/2019 12:56

Oh no @cherries your poor dd Sad Don't feel bad about first world problems, I would be very upset too. That's good she will have a car that she can use, at least that helps the immediate worry. Will she manage to rearrange her MRI?

justilou1 · 27/04/2019 13:58

@cherries- I hope dd’s neck is ok tomorrow! I’ve had whiplash and it’s awful! Poor thing must have had a huge fright!!!

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 16:15

Oh cherries not first world at all, I would be feeling the same how awful for her, glad she is ok though.
Soups sounds like it will look totally fab.
never I bought some white paper plates & some new paints😍

Laska2Meryls · 27/04/2019 18:24

*cherries" hope your DD has recovered from the shock now. Poor thing and poor you . We never stop worrying about them though,do we?
Turned out great here today after all sunny mostly and quite warm, although really blustery, DS Dgs and I have done tree walks climbed ropes and negotiated tree height net mazes , did the Bob sleigh toboggans (twice. such fun!), mega forest slides and huge pirateship swings . Am totally knackered ( it really is a great place though ) .. DH stayed at home in yogic calmness all day but he is cooking dinner and has made me a g&t. Bath time to negotiate and I reckon I'll be in bed just after DGS and just after reading the next installment of Captain Underpants !
DH points out that he did clean the bathroom whilst we were out.., Should I get out the effin medals ? 😁😂😂

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 20:27

Wow that place sounds fantastic Laska & knackering, we did lots of crafty stuff & played endless games of bus driving & did lots of puzzles it was such a horrible day here, very very windy & showers all day so didn’t stay out for long.
Just done bath & stories & hopefully she has gone off now🙏🏻 I feel the call of a G&T as well, 😂 at the medals my Dh is the same when he does the fecking hoovering.
cherries hope dd is ok.

Laska2Meryls · 27/04/2019 20:40

Len if you ever make it over here it's Robin Hill ( and we'd gladly meet you there!) . Bath accomplished, with lots of splashing DH may have to clean it again tomorrow!! He is just playing last games and then Capt U .. 'What's in my box?' this evening with a 6yr old quickly deteriorated into "bum willy territory" but then it's the age . DGs box had Elephant poo in !! Grin

Laska2Meryls · 27/04/2019 20:45

We often do bud rides with GCS but we are lucky to have open top buses here in the season .. The Needles breezer is q scary , going along 300ft sheer cliff top roads , but fun. .. Ice-cream at the end 😁

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 21:17

🤢 at the thought of 300ft drops, I suffer terribly with vertigo & it’s got worse as I have got older. I reckon dgd would love Robin Hill Laska
You never know, we may appear one day.
We did a bit off the box game at dinner & she kept saying it was a teeny tiny Nana in the box for everything😂
She’s fast asleep & snoring.

Laska2Meryls · 27/04/2019 21:23

Mission accomplished... And Relax.... 🍷 😊.....
