soups I like the middle row best, what colour & fabric are your curtains other soft furnishings that will make a difference I think especially if the curtains other fabrics have pattern in.

dontcallmelen · 26/04/2019 19:26

never really your haul, yy the shirt is beautiful looks a really fabulous fabric.
Laska it’s blooming cold & very windy here as well, had dgd this afternoon & she has been a bit manic, also have her tomorrow & overnight😱 send alcohol please.
Loving the hanger chat, I’m going to Ikea on Monday so will track down & examine the hangers on behalf of Hushistas.
Yy the price of espadrilles, they used to be the cheap option.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/04/2019 19:28

I bet you get really nice ones in spain @soyo...with beautiful embroidery and at a great price!

Laska2Meryls · 26/04/2019 20:26

Len we have just finished playing 'whats inside my box? with DGS (6) '.. its a fun game if you've not tried it with smallies.. you ask the Q and give a letter followed by other clues.. round the diner table.. Lots of silly fun.

Thanks for your nice endorsement on my outfit soy, unfortunately I have just cooked ( with an apron on ) and ate (without apron!!) spaghetti Vongole.. The striped top and Keiras are destined for the wash tomorrow..

dontcallmelen · 26/04/2019 20:38

Thanks Laska that sounds fun, sure dgd would love that she is starting to get the hang of guessing games, oh noo I’m the same can’t be trusted with anything that’s slightly messy to eat.

Laska2Meryls · 26/04/2019 21:21

21.10 ....and 4 chapters of Captain Underpants read by DGM and DGs is (just) asleep inhis bed, ( and so is DH on the sofa !! ) Time for Wine, methinks !!

Len I was impressed that DGs got 'candle' quite quickly from my v.vague clues, but both he and I never got DH's 'radio' - despite him telling us it was a machine that I used more than him ! Neither of them got my 'newspaper 'though! - they asked the wrong questions, the trick is to be mean, and not to give too much away too soon Grin .. Grin

Laska2Meryls · 26/04/2019 22:20

this was the White stuff skirt I spotted in Cowes earlier it is much nicer IRL/ khaki with pink highlights , fab fabric.. . and this lovely top is also great I may have ordered both of these

Here is a 15% code: WSV15

Everyone else in bed, ...I got DH up off the sofa.. I am probably following him soon though.. Hey,get Friday nights at 60+.. I used to be just going out on the town now!!

dontcallmelen · 26/04/2019 23:11

Ooh nice bits from white stuff Laska lol at the rock n roll lifestyle me n you both, I will be in bed by half eight tomorrow night.
Glad dgs has gone off to sleep ok, dgd is currently obsessed still with the tiger who came to tea & wonky donkey, will definitely try the box game at dinner tomorrow.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/04/2019 23:32

Enjoy all the fun with your dgc!!!
@Laska, some of the new white stuff things can be rather nice. I really like the skirt and top you have ordered :)

Ellapaella · 27/04/2019 06:32

Ciao from Rome! Having an amazing time - Suzy an amazing city. Can't believe all the fascinating ruins and history that you come across just walking from place to place.
This is me on our friends roof top terrace. It's amazing, can virtually touch the coliseum.
Had a few showers yesterday but it cleared into a beautiful sunny evening and today is looking sunny and warm.

Everyone here is wearing white chunky trainers or white Stan Smith style trainers - I mean honestly almost every woman I've walked past. I'm going for a browse around the shops later - I want to go to Sephora. If any of you know of any little shopping gems let me know.

Have a lovely day all ☀️🙂

Ellapaella · 27/04/2019 06:33

Ps I meant to say..
@neveradullmoment99 I love all three things on you. Love the checked shirt and dress, lovely colours.
@ilovecherries I hope you kept the Moritz jeans as they look really great on you.

SoyYo · 27/04/2019 08:04

Ciao Ella so lovely to know when in Rome...get yourself some new trainers! 🤣 seriously it’s a beautiful city and lucky to be so close to the Coliseum (now I’m wondering if we share the same old friend...she’s not British but studied at Oxford/Harvard and is an academic also living within stones throw of the Coliseum). Anyhow you as always look fabulosa in your pic. Have tons of fun!

SoyYo · 27/04/2019 08:11

@never yes I’m sure I’ll find great espadrilles in Spain (coincidentally last weekend we booked our next flight there. Off on June 2nd)

@laska I remember Underpants! His exploits are still on some bookshelf upstairs which reminds me as part of the Swedish death cleaning we will undertake in the coming months to sell the family home I have literally a wall of children’s books which I would love to give to a good home. Everything from silly to sublime classics. Let’s see if I can get some to you and @len to share with your DG’s. Can we figure a way to transport that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? (maybe a meet up of Hush girls in London at some point later this year)
I really like the White Stuff skirt and t you posted, I never even think of going into that shop so good tip 👍

SoyYo · 27/04/2019 08:14

This am I’m off for a pedi and mani. Not much planned for the weekend otherwise. Weather doesn’t look inspiring either. Maybe I’ll start tackling the wardrobe overload...(scared 🙈😱) chat laters 👋

whiskyremorse · 27/04/2019 08:33

@ella what a view! Enjoy your break.
Im back to work on Monday after living in my Hush comfies for 2 weeks I am going to struggle back into work wear. I was going to do a spring wardrobe swap but it is cold and raining here so that might be premature!

ilovecherries · 27/04/2019 08:40

ella, you look like you are born to be there! Enjoy your weekend.

I am just loving the white trainers - already dreading their passing as for the first time in decades my shoe necessities feel stylish.

We are off to Newcastle later - it’s tipping it down here. DH wants to go to the Doc Marten shop as he feels it’s finally time to come out of his boots for summer, so he wants shoes. I’m still in my pyjamas so haven’t decided what to wear yet.

Laska2Meryls · 27/04/2019 09:08

ella[green] at your friends roof terrace... you look fab..
I simlpy couldnt wear white trainers ( they do look good) , they'd be grubby in 2 seconds, they way I am !! but i have my pale pink and blue from last year to wear this summer ( not worn much because I got them , then broke my toe!)

Its blowing an absolute hooley here !, so I reckon the woodland adventure playground ( which I expensively renewed our annual passes for yesterday ) is off ... ah well looks like another visit to a cafe and the lego shop then...

Laska2Meryls · 27/04/2019 09:10

Soy , yes def would like some more Captain Underpants books was going to get the second one ,

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 09:52

@ella, the view looks amazing. Hope you have a lovely break. Jealous of the weather too as it is peeing it down here!!
Off to the barbours with my ds today who is badly needing a haircut and then off to the supermarket for some boring food shopping.
@ella, had a little look yesterday for the cami that you have but they don't have any sadly. Will continue to look as they seem to be replacing new summer stock all the time atm.
@soy, lucky you going on holiday on the 2nd June. You totally deserve it. You work SO hard.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday! :)

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 10:00

Ella amazing views, hope you are having a fabulous time enjoy the warmth it’s horrible here.
I’m really not into trainers, which I’m surprised at considering my love of shoes, the only pair I own are white Stan Smiths which Ds bought me a while ago, so am basking in the fact that I have unwittingly have stylish trainers like the Italians 😂
Soy fab idea about books, reading books with dgd is the only time she will sit still!

dontcallmelen · 27/04/2019 10:02

Laska I’m wracking my brains here as well, with what to do with dgd it’s really horrible here as well.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:21

How old is she @Melen? Get some wellies on and rainwear and get out in them puddles!!! Jump jump jump!!!
Craft? Baking? All my children love these!!
Buy wellies and decorate them with sharpies then go for puddle jumps!!

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:22

Hama beads? Also good to have. Get them on Amazon and it takes ages but you need to 'iron' them.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2019 10:24

Playdough is always a winner..even with my kids and they are older!
You can also make your own!!!

Playdough mats. If you cant access them free, you could google some. I love twinkl. Use it all the time for teaching. Great learning stuff if you are interested.
