On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

Really comfortable and can walk miles in them. Liked them so much that I bought them in another colour too.

This thread was originally supposed to be about "non hideous", nice, stylish, chic" sandals (from the OP) - with comfort also on the wish list, just not at the top. But I feel that's been flipped around and lots of people are sharing sandals that were clearly designed for comfort over style. That's fine if comfort is your priority but I thought this thread was about stylish sandals? Please share more pretty ones! I do love a chic shoe and it is getting increasingly more difficult not to shout HIDEOUS at some of these, sorry not sorry.

But a walking/hiking sandal is not "stylish" or "chic", it just isn't

AnotherEmma agree. I understood the comfort element to be a unexpected bonus requirement and the OP was after sandals that actually don't look like they might be comfortable because of how pretty they look! There are plenty of threads for sandals where comfort is the main feature where you can recommend fabric sandals with a tyre tread sole from Sports Direct.

I'm liking some of the soft sole Ancient Greek Sandals, pretty straps with a cushioned footbed lots of PP crave. Not cheap but UK stockists like NAP or Matches always include them in discount events, and they go really cheap in the sales:

superstar63 I posted about the Moshulu Wasabi upthread. They're absolutely fab. I can't recommend them enough.

Personally I hate “pretty” sandals. I dislike pretty anything, come to that. Chic to me is pared down and stylish, I like a bit of a twist too. These win the thread for me. I only wish I could bring myself to part with the money.

I've just bought these Jigsaw ones which are very similar to the Toast ones but less than half the price- great quality too! I got black but they have tan as well.

I discovered this ones last summer, and OMG, the best, most comfortable sandals I ever had. So - so comfortable. Very stylish in my opinion.
