Let's see your non hideous sandals then!

On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

Palmairas for me today

I have just ordered those Office espadrilles and I’m blaming you Elspeth! I will have to go and confess in the no spend thread! Was torn between the black and the nude but went for the nude in the medium height. They do look very comfortable. I can’t see any other colours on the website.

I am now going to go and sort out my shoe and sandal collection so I know what I have.............

The Office website isn't great tbh as they seem to list it a million times in different colours rather than listing it once and having a drop down menu for colours. So unless you put the name in the search box, you could miss the other colours existence.

I am just back from picking these up from Waitrose. They were more than I've ever paid for shoes, but look really smart and are comfy.

Not sure I should admit this...but, these are mine from...ahem...Hotter! Didn't think I'd ever be seen dead in a pair of Hotters, but I'm dead chuffed with these - I think they look pretty and they're so comfortable!

All the posters who have uploaded pictures of their fab sandals have slender feet.

My feet are quite thin and it's not easy finding sandals that fit. Anything like those Office ones where you can't tighten the straps are always too big.

LadyK I have narrow feet and the office ones are fine for me. Could be worth trying.

On the strength of this thread I am now the owner of 3 new pairs of sandals.

Been wearing my River Island sands today for the first time- found them to be very comfortable!

Also you can't go wrong with a sturdy little pair of Havaianas. I can walk all day in those things and once climbed a mountain in the Canadian Rockies in a pair. Not by design but we thoughts we'd do a little 2 mile walk round a lake and ended up climbing the mountain. They were far far better than any walking boots! Grippy, great on gravel or rocky terrain, easy to walk through streams or puddles as they dry in a second. Makes sense as they are made from old tyres!

Those Office Hallies look identical to the wide fit ones I was looking at on simply be and yours clothing. (Office ones are real leather or suede though)

I like these ones. I like cork because its light and soft underfoot .

Le Sigh. I have just discovered this French brand. Some seriously beautiful shoes but at fairly expensive prices 😔
