Ignoring the bid-tastic store these come from - these are the best trousers I have found for yonks and are perfect for apples as they just pull on without a fixed waistband.

They are like leggings in that they need an arse covering top but the EASE of wear is something special. (Sighs in a good way)

Anyhoo really flattering, wash well and in a whole array of colours. Not sheer at all either. Oh yes and they make legs look thinner too unlike jeggings.....

Drumroll..... Roman Originals cropped stretch trousers.....

😁

I’m stockpiling too Sarcelle. Glad they work for you also. I find trousers a nightmare so that is why I enthused about them on here 🙂

My four pairs have arrived, have not opened the package nor tried them on, it is just too cold here lol. Glad everyone is pleased with theirs.

thenightsky · 04/04/2019 14:41

Mine have arrived too. One black and one a sort of mid-blue, which looked much paler on the website.

Not tried on yet, but will in an hour as I have to go change to go out anyway.

I'm a big size 12 and 5ft 8in. Fingers crossed.

thenightsky · 04/04/2019 15:59

Tried on the blue ones. They are going back. Fine from the front, then I looked at my back view. Horizontal pulled creases going right across the backs of my thighs from seam to seam from bum crease to knees. Awful. Might not look so bad on the black ones, but no time to try coz I'm off out now.

I am a size 12 pear (and at the minute, carrying a couple of extra winter pounds). Ordered these in a 12 and I am bloody delighted. My slight 46 year old arse sag has disappeard. Now eyeing other colours for summer/holidays. I was reluctant but definitely worth a shot.

Slight tangent but bought a ball dress from Roman Originals and have worn it for a couple of formal evening things - I had so many compliments on it!!

Right, off to look at capri pants...

Bugger it I have just ordered 3 pairs for when I get out of my leg brace next week. I have been rocking many an odd look with a broken knee so Granny chic can only be an improvement Blush

I discovered Roman by accident a few years ago. I wish they’d do stuff in natural fibres as a lot of their styling is brilliant. They could do with a more upmarket range to compliment their main lines.

Their proper tunic length jumpers are fab. I also use some of their mini dresses as jumpers as I’m tall.

sweetkitty · 12/04/2019 20:45

I’m always looking for Capri pants that suit me, I’m tiny framed size 8 all over, tiny child like wrists and ankles APART from my hips and bum that are a size 10-12, hips jut out and anything fitted looks awful. Find buying jeans horrendous, leggings and tunics are my friend as are 50s style dresses and skirts as they hide the enormous bum and hips.

Cali369 · 16/04/2019 14:53

I bought two pairs of these last year (taupe and white) and have just ordered navy and blue.

I'm 5'3" hourglass/pear, size 12 and I love them - definitely make you look thinner. Although I did wreck the white ones by dancing/sweating too much that my fake tan 'leaked' and wouldn't wash out!

And I bought a sequin faux wrap dress from there for husbands work 'sparkle' party in April - honestly it's not so easy to find a sequin dress after Christmas.

Finally the sun arrived so wore them over Easter. They are fantastic, stretchy yet not clingy. Lovely turquoise colour was the first one I tried. So glad you found them for me OP. Flowers

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 23/04/2019 22:34

How lovely just - glad they work for you 🙂

I bought a navy and a black pair recently after seeing them recommended on this thread. Went up a size to a 16 and they are perfect. I am seriously minded to get a couple of other colours.

Roman is a great shop, but you do have to be selective. Some of the stock is a bit Shock but they do turn out some real gems. I buy my eveningwear there, as they do some nice long evening dresses but without the JL or House of Fraser price tag.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 24/04/2019 09:23

I’m very tempted to order the 3/4 length, can I ask if they’re thick material? I mean too thick for a very hot day. Do they bag at the knee at all? I’m unsure what size to order. I’m normally a 14 in a stretch waistband but can’t bear being squeezed into clothes.

No not thick as in winter weight, stretchy but not clingy, a v notch in the side at the bottom so they do not cling to calves. Just checked the washing basket, no not bagged at the knee at all. They are pull ups but because stretchy all over do not squeeze you at all. The jewel colours are fabulous and true.

Thanks ever so much for that reply justasking111 I appreciate it. Think I’ll order both sizes to see.
