Glad you managed to spend the LkB voucher justa. I have mixed experience with their shoes. I have some heeled ankle boots that are sooo comfy and have lasted really well. Whereas I had a pair of flats that cut my feet to ribbons and were packed off to the charity shop. shop seems to do well with their shoes. I like those GG trainers too. If you like them then don’t think about the insta thing. Those dune slides that fedup and I had last summer were all over insta but they were so comfy and practical that I didn’t bother!

Sorry to hear that things are still tough shop. Hopefully once you have found somewhere and your DF is settled he will realise it is for the best .

Both the navy and red Hobbs coats are going back. I actually preferred the red in the end, but the 12 was a just a bit too big. I think I am too short for that shape of coat and think i need a belt for some definition. Also I didn’t think the quality of the fabric was as good as my ted baker jacket. I think I’m going to leave it and see what colours ted baker do in the coat version of the jacket in A/W and wait for the 30% Black Friday promo . I’ve got tonsillitis at the moment . My throat is so sore. Hope it’s better for tomorrow as we’re supposed to be going out for a mother’s day dinner....

One more week and I have finished my course/qualification. Can’t believe it’s nearly done. Studying when you have a job, family, house, life, sucks but I’m proud of myself and chuffed I’ve done it.

A friend of mine was wearing these the other day trainers. They looked great - I was v surprised by the brand!

Wow, love the Fitflop ones shop. Also like the R&B trainers but they are very expensive.

Stokey how is the reno going? Feel like we have turned a corner here, all the really messy stuff done, kitchen well progressed, starting to get a sense of how it will all look. Totally broke though, lots of bills, my card was declined on payday this week as the money was going out faster than coming in . Splurged on things like a fantastic oven (trays just slide out when touched) and some gorgeous wallpaper. Hope I don't regret it!!

Oh and on Drunk Elephant Vit C serum - feels sticky when it goes in but seems to sink in quickly and no piling. Am loving the Dennis Gross Daily Peel stuff (twice a week with it is plenty imo). DH commented today that I am looking 'fresh faced' so one of them is working for me.

Been out for a look at the summer clothes coming in to the shops, seen 2 lovely dresses in Primark none in my size, I think the largest size they had was a 10. Yellow seems to be everywhere, I love it but it doesn't suit me at all.

I remembered I bought some wedges last year for a cruise which I never had a chance to wear as the weather was so awful (force 7 gales). They are a nude suede so will hopefully go with a range of outfits this year.

This was one of the dresses from Primark the other was similar but in a light blue

littlered yellow looks awful on me too, just doesn't suit me at all in any shade i've tried and i've tried from the brightest to the most subtle shades and they all look yuck on me.

No real fashion news to report, haven't seen much of anything i want to buy though the last think i bought was a light pink floral teadress which i of course plan to wear with DM boots/shoes in a huge nod to the nineties since i absolutely don't have the figure for the crop tops that are still doing the rounds!

I do miss those handmade offerings from when the dc's were younger . Occasionally I get things from the dgc's which I love. They're so proud of their work, its lovely to see. Takes me ages to find a new home the bin for them.

The weather at the moment is really confusing wake up and wear warm clothes to travel to work in as it's cold and frosty... leave work sweltering carrying coat and wishing I hadn't worn my cord skirt and jumper. Snow is forecast Wednesday, just wish it would make its mind up and move towards spring/summer!

It feels like it’s gone back to winter here. Just endured a lovely hail shower on the way to collect DC . Perfect weather for bikini shopping . It looks like Boden have stopped doing the amalfi bikini top so I’ve managed to stock up on 2 sets in the clearance. One plain black and one navy with a bit of pattern. I also ordered this summer dress. I quite liked the pattern so will see what it’s like IRL. Other than this nit much inspired me in the new collection. Though I haven’t seen much any where that has appealed. I’ve also still got the huge Hobbs box sitting in my front room ready to go to the post office, I just can’t face lugging it there. Though the £400 refund will hopefully inspire me tomorrow!
