Christmas and the sales are sadly over but winter is still here for a few months yet.

Come and show us your cosy knits and woolly hats whilst we dream of summer - everyone welcome, the more the merrier.

Juliet Dunn dress
All £100 off each and will only keep max two

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/04/2019 11:07

Nice buys marsha. Tough choice to only keep 2 as they are all so different! Which do you think you will get the most wear out of? Maybe send the scarf back unless it would be something you would wear everyday in cooler times? If it would just be one of many p, then might not be worth the £££. But it is a pretty colour.

Yes very quiet in here at the moment. I think we slipped to page 3 Shock.

I liked the summer Boden dress. As soon as I put it on it felt right. As blair said earlier, it’s good to know that we know our own style, and those times when we deliberate probably means it’s a no. I think I might order the black version too.

Feeling really fed up at the moment. Feel like I’m on a hamster wheel. Think I need some vit D! Hope everyone is ready for the Easter holidays 😬

MarshaBradyo · 05/04/2019 11:09

Phew Everyone Tg you’re here Grin

Both my scarves are dark and I feel like a lighter one for Spring cold days. Bit extravagant however!

MarshaBradyo · 05/04/2019 11:10

I don’t blame you on the black one, it’s a really lovely dress

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/04/2019 12:14

Yes I'm glad the Boden dress is nice Everyone, as soon as I opened the link I could see you in it.

Marsha did you have a matches code? I think I'd keep the trainers (as you know you'll wear them lots) and the scarf, but only because you can't wear the beach dress for more than a few weeks a year.

I ordered a few bits from & other stories:
floral wrap top it's not the nicest fabric but it looks nice and will go with loads for work or casual, so I'm keeping it
twill skirt not sure on this yet, the fabric is nice but it's stiff and very long
floral skirt this is literally a maxi on me, which might be ok but I wanted it for work as well as with trainers.

Also waiting for my everlane order which got my debit card temporarily frozen! which includes Shock wide leg crop trousers.

VivaVegas · 05/04/2019 12:45

Lovely dress 'Marsha really pretty, I'm just too clumsy to wear something like that in white!
I like the Boden dress Everyone, I'd like that for the summer but for me I'd prefer black, I always feel frumpy in print for some reason!
Have bought a few casual bits, going for my typical black and cobalt!
Sweaty Betty hoody Boden Cobalt Top and Black Hush Star tshirt
I'm away during the Easter holidays too, looking forward to a bit of sun and rest but do need to think about what to pack and get my prep (waxing and nails booked in)!

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/04/2019 13:21

Hmm yes maybe blair is right marsha and you should keep the scarf and return the dress??

The print on that top is pretty blair, shame it’s not the best material, but it still looks useful. I’m not sure about the twill skirt for you, it looks like it might drown you? The floral skirt is pretty but does that also drown you? It doesn’t look like your usual style, which might be what you wanted? Can you see yourself wearing it and on what occasions or do you think there is something else that you would ultimately choose instead?

I couldn’t get your hush link to open viva. But is it the leopard print star T-shirt? If so, I have that too! Cobalt blue is a lovely colour.

I’m jealous of those of you going away. I’m off to Cornwall but not sure the sun or heat is coming too!

FedupNagging · 05/04/2019 13:52

Hmm, I'd keep the dress Marsha -it is so much your style albeit white not very practical with dc's.

Sorry you're feeling so fed up Everyone; a bit of sunshine always helps along with lighter evenings so will do a little sunshine dance for you Grin

Blair the green skirt is very pretty-can you get away with a maxi skirt at work? Be a shame to return if it looks nice. I love me a wide leg crop so looking forward to that link!

Viva nice purchases and nothing wrong with sticking to colours that work for you. Enjoy your holiday; hope you manage to relax and take a break from everything.

Everyone I think you're right and neither of the skirts is right for me. I just really need some new work clothes, as all the bodycon jersey dresses I used to wear now feel dated (and I wore the same thing in maternity format while pregnant too so I'm thoroughly bored of it). So I'm wearing the same few things at the moment. It doesn't help that I feel like I've forgotten what my usual style is :/

Hopefully you will feel a bit more refreshed after your holiday. I know it was a throwaway comment but do you take vitamin D? I take the max strength you can get without a prescription and it really helps, I have the most horrible low moods without it Flowers

Fedup I could probably get away with a maxi skirt to work but I wouldn't feel comfortable and it wouldn't suit the image I like to project. I feel like midi skirts are getting longer and longer!

VivaVegas · 05/04/2019 18:49

No it's a black star on black Everyone but I did look at the one with the leopard star before going all black (I'm so predictable!). I always have trouble with Hush links for some reason.

Longislandicetee · 05/04/2019 19:00

Hi Blair, I am not sure that the top is you eitherBlush. You're so young and fresh, a bit worried that it might be ageing on you.

Marsha, if it was me, I would keep the scarf and trainers, but as it's you and you're freakishly oblivious to the cold, I would say dress and trainers! That dress will look awesome on you.

Like the Sweaty Betty top Viva, I couldn't click on the other link.

Everyone, I am not going anywhere over Easter, I will be right with you in the rain!Grin

About to do TMI...For those of you who are mid 40s/peri menopausal/both, have you found that you get sweatier? I have noticed that the current anti pespirant that i am using (Dove original) isn't having much of an impact and that when i change at the end of the day (about 7pm) that my arm pits smell.Blush No one else can smell it, however, I am finding that even when i shower that I can't use fancy stuff and need to give under arms a really good scrub? Has anyone else noticed this? Think i am going to have to be much more careful about the type of materials that i wear and i am especially worried about making sure that i don't wear polyester when the summer months come.

In cheerier news, I got an unexpected windfall this week from the lovely people at HMRC so i think I need to spend it on something pretty. I told dh this last night and he rolled his eyes, I reminded him of all my recent health issues and he retreated pretty quickly! So might spend some of this weekend looking at pretty things.Smile

shopafrolic · 05/04/2019 19:18

Blingy re: sweat. Yes. this works a treat

shopafrolic · 05/04/2019 19:21

I bought a few of these in various colours. Lovely drapey fabric. Basic but good.

Dreamqueen · 05/04/2019 20:37

Blingy I use rhe Mitchum roll on deodorant, won't use anything else now.

I've lost my fashion mojo and don't know how to get it back. I've put quite a few lbs on and am struggling to lose them, at the same time having stressful and upsetting situation to deal with.

Shop your link took me to Gap home page.

VivaVegas · 05/04/2019 21:01

Blingy I use Mitchum stick for all day and find that works.

MarshaBradyo · 05/04/2019 21:02

Dream I’m really sorry to hear that Sad

Blingy I rate Mitchum too

TMI here but I’m yet to get my period back, still bfding - 15 months. That plus pregnancy means ages! Has anyone not had it that long?
Mine aren’t bad but still feels like a reprieve

MarshaBradyo · 05/04/2019 21:04

Thanks for Marches feedback. I love the dress but think it’s a bit short for a summer lunch. I don’t want just a beach dress. I want that elusive lunch dress!

MarshaBradyo · 05/04/2019 21:04

Grr Matches

VivaVegas · 05/04/2019 21:39

Does anyone have Cloud Nine straighteners?
Have always had GHDs but my hairdresser was suggesting I get cloud nines when I replace mine.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/04/2019 21:46

Oh Dream I'm sorry to hear that, hope you are ok? Thanks

Blingy funny you should say that, I like the top but wasn't 100% sure about the fluttery sleeves for me. I will try it on again tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing your ideas for spending your hmrc refund Smile

Marsha sorry but I did think it was just a beach dress! Especially on your tall self. Dresses are so hard!

Longislandicetee · 05/04/2019 22:01

Mitchum. Brilliant, thanks everyone for the tip. Will get that tomorrow.

Dream, really sorry to hear that. Hope the chat in some small way cheers you up.Thanks

Longislandicetee · 05/04/2019 22:17

I have no wordsShock

kittyhello · 05/04/2019 22:25

Blingy I've used both Perspirex and Driclor you put them on the night before, not too much as it stings but they're pretty effective. Hope you buy yourself something nice with your windfall.

Marsha trainers definitely and whichever one you want/need the most. I can see you in the dress and the scarf too.

Dream sorry to hear things aren't great. Hopefully we can inspire you a bit here with getting your fashion mojo back.

Blair I too was unsure about your links. They didn't seem to be you.

Shop good staple buys for summer.

Viva I have Cloud 9 straighteners, they're great. I used them recently and they did a much better job than my old cheap Tesco ones Grin Great buys btw.

Every have s great time in Cornwall, hope you get some great weather.

I was at Bluewater yesterday and saw actual clothes in the flesh! Was very disappointed by all the mmf and only bought a pink tee shirt from Madewell.

shopafrolic · 05/04/2019 22:53

Dream all the good vibes heading your way from me

VivaVegas · 06/04/2019 06:24

That dress is awful Blingy!
It's not just the dress, it's the fact is so low cut and with no bra imo it just looks very trashy!
