Christmas and the sales are sadly over but winter is still here for a few months yet.

Come and show us your cosy knits and woolly hats whilst we dream of summer - everyone welcome, the more the merrier.

blingy not sure but Thomas sabo popped into my head.

shopafrolic · 11/03/2019 22:40

Blingy Thomas Sabo and Swarovski both have them x

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2019 07:40

Headband? Grin Grin Grin Grin
I used to wear a black velvet one, pearls, a knitted wrap with grilled edge and....

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2019 07:44

Some R and B chain link ballet flats. It was my Sloane Ranger phase......I had a permanent headache in the mid 80s and looked like a prat.....Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2019 07:44

“Frilled” edge obv

libertyonhertravels · 12/03/2019 08:04

Ohhhh I want a headband Grin

Good call on the Alaia blingy - it's gorgeous!

I'm so excited so many of you can make the July MU. QueenC I was thinking about a hotel that night - I'll message you.

Glad you got replacement boots shop. Fingers crossed no issues with the studs.

Fedup that traybake thread is brilliant - love it! Thanks for linking.

So excited to see lib!

Blingy good choice, think only the Alaia would have scratched that itch!

Stokey Grin. Was it at coal drops yard? I like it there. Also like looking at things you wouldn’t normally notice. Floor heaven is Céline on Mount St, made up of strips of different marble. Obvs not the look you are going for but well worth a visit if you’re ever in the vicinity!

Dry can so imagine the junior you in that Sloaney ‘80s Diana look!

Am knackered, worked all weekend at a work event but loads of fun. Looking forward to a long weekend away soon with dh, ages since we did that.

justa am still thinking about those marant trainers and found them somewhere with a hefty discount but yes, hardly the £100 price cap. Also still thinking about the gorgeous green Arket dress.

Shop worth another go and if they fall apart again at least it is John Lewis.

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2019 19:09

Seriously Mara aged 18, at my party, I LOOKED like Di. Frill neck collar, flicks, blue eyeliner.....what a disaster! Grin.....then I got a perm....god knows how I have any hair left Grin < whispers I even had tartan pedal pushers> ruuuuuuuuuuunnnnns awaaaaaaaaaay

MarshaBradyo · 12/03/2019 20:04

Dry you’ll need to share a pic of that perm at the next MU Wink

Mara I really liked those Marant trainers, I’d like some new ones but without the big logo from this year’s. Sorry! I had about two seconds to post the list

We were little Sloaneys too at 16 / 17 and wore velvet head bands, pie crust collars, turned up collars, blazers and hostess scarves. Possible even pearls for evening stuff Shock

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2019 21:00

OMG Marsha I will. I loved my perm. Felt v dizzy with it. My hair had so much mousse and hair spray (Superdrug ultimate hold) it was solid for about 4 years, no wonder I never had a boyfriend Grin Took Years for my hair to recover.

MarshaBradyo · 12/03/2019 21:10

Grin love it

Plus you already have such thick hair (lucky lucky). Brilliant. 😂

QueenCerise · 13/03/2019 18:10

dry and msra I can totally imagine you both as sloanes. I too, had hair stuck together with mousse and hairspray to perfect my lady di flick. I then moved onto sun-in and to anyone that knows me I really don’t need it!! My dm never let me have a perm which I was gutted about.

After thinking I’d found my perfect summer jeans I’m not so sure. The top shop jeans I bought in London fit great but because they’re so high waisted I’m not sure if they accentuate my tummy. I’m really long between my tummy button and crotch and so if I tuck something in there’s just a great expanse of a denim tum. I’ve ordered another 3 pairs from Levi. They’ll be refusing my orders soon as I’ve tried so many Grin

libertyonhertravels · 14/03/2019 08:51

QueenC have you tried the Levi's Mile High Cropped Flares? Esther Coren from The Spike is raving about them.

Just back from a 3 night away work trip. So tired now.

shopafrolic · 14/03/2019 20:03

Loving the Sloane and headband chat. Reckon it's fairly obvious that neither are my thing! Grin
Awful week here with DF, he is home but it's been awful and I've been crying every day - not helped by DH being in Nice on business (drinking rosé in the sunshine).
I ordered replacement SE Jennifer boots from John Lewis, despite taking their sizing advice they sent me the wrong US size so I have had to return them, and have no re-ordered in a UK 7 and 8 as they can't tell me which of those might get me a US 9.5 which is what I had before.
The good news is that they are reduced to clear at £79 now, the original pair from the Dressing Room were over £140! Fingers crossed one or other pair fits, and that the studs stay put.
In an effort to look less knackered I bought a new foundation and concealer today. [[https://www.johnlewis.com/dior-forever-foundation-matte/2n-neutral/p3915255 Dior foundation]] Dior concealer
The lady who did my makeup gave brilliant advice. Apparently my skin is dehydrated - probably all the booze and chocolate I've been mainlining this week. Blush

QueenCerise · 15/03/2019 06:43

shopbig hugs
lib no idea what styles I’ve just ordered. It was 501s and wedgies I tried last time. Almost perfect but not quite. I will find my perfect pair...

libertyonhertravels · 15/03/2019 08:48

Sending hugs shop. I'm not surprised you are so tired. Things have been relentless for you.

Horrible day for NZ. I'm in bed trying and failing to get to sleep. Mind whirling after a busy week and today's appalling events.

MarshaBradyo · 15/03/2019 09:00

Waking up to that news made me cry a bit

So so awful Sad

Lib and Shop big hugs

kittyhello · 15/03/2019 09:13

I agree, what awful news to wake up to 😥

Shop Flowers such a tough time your family are going through. xx

MarshaBradyo · 15/03/2019 11:44

Just bought a Kate Spade wallet, Bodas pjs, Frame skinnies, Duffy cashmere and a skirt in the new to sale on the outnet - saving £700 apparently. Will link if any good!

justasecond · 15/03/2019 23:19

Sad and depressing news today Sad I'm reminded of a lovely bunch of NZers I met on hajj a few years ago. They told me about their small but close community there.I hope they are safe today.

Stay strong shop . Glad you re-bought the boots, they looked lovely on you.

I keep losing my posts so I'll be brief today!

FedupNagging · 16/03/2019 09:04

Shocking news from NZ yesterday. My thoughts are with you Lib and everyone in NZ (including friends)

Flowers for you Shop

Hope you find a pair of jeans that work Queen; I find trousers in general a pain to buy being such a short arse. Have a look at Maison Scotch jeans/skinnies

Looking forward to seeing your links Marsha

I bought a few items a couple of weeks ago which I didn't get a chance to link

Jigsaw Red stripe breton (I paid fp fgs!)

And this whole outfit from Hush - way outside my comfort zone esp the slogan t which I wore a few times last week. Might be tempted to buy another...

The silver havaianas I ordered didn't arrive but luckily I've been refunded so will reorder.
