Richard Madden has said he didn't become rich as presumed from Game Of Thrones as he was only paid "scale" which is the bottom rung of pay for actors because he was an unknown name.

Meghan will have been scale for the early seasons, additionally, the show is made by and broadcast on a very minor network in the states, not one of the main/name channels, so any rises in pay will have been in keeping with the budget of that network

Re Zara’s manicure. Her beautician was also mine, and a close personal friend of Zara’s. I’m surprised if she didn’t have a manicure!

Chipping in briefly on the discussion about whether the DoC will have another child. As a PP said, obviously it's all just speculation, but I read somewhere that apparently she had planned to have 4 by the time she was 40. For some reason that seemed convincing to me! I suppose time will tell.

I love this photo of HMQ, HMQM and PM. Aside from the fact they're wearing matching tops which makes you think they might have been on a bingo night out to Blackpool... their smiles are relaxed and radiant. They look like three ladies who've been through a lot and hand each other's backs even when they've had differences. So lovely and the HMQ looks beautiful.

I remember reading that Princess Diana's dress was about £9k although in reality the cost was higher but the designers didn't want to miss out on the chance , so they never charged the exact cost .
Ditto for DoC and DoS , I don't think these numbers are right they probably paid much less than what is reported.

I do sometimes feel bad for them on the old school old fashioned shampoo and set hair do's, compared to the hair the younger royals sport now, I do think it prematurely aged that generations, Princess Anne followed suit with that old style hair do and was probably encouraged to which is a shame as she looked so beautiful with it down

QueenOfTheAndles Princess Louise's mystery seems to be an illegitimate baby by Leopold's tutor, various affairs, marrying a probably gay duke in order to quietly continue an affair with a married man and various other things. It appears as if there may be more mysteries though as her archive cannot be accessed and even info belonging to her close friends / family are taken care of and placed in the royal archive. This seems crazy as plenty of royal males of the time did similar yet the information is available. So perhaps there is further scandal? All very strange.

If she was paid scale, it would likely only have been the first season and she was on for seven seasons. Also USA is not all that minor; it is owned by NBC, which is one of the original Big Three networks in the US.

It's minor in terms of it hasn't got the prestige of NBC, ABC, FOX, HBO etc and even they have lost their ground now to Netflix, Hulu and Prime.

It's not a BBC/HBO level show basically

As much as I like the headbands that Catherine has been wearing I am shocked to discover the one she wore on Christmas Day cost 650 pounds as it was created by a milliner.
