Previous thread.

And let's stick to critiquing the outfits rather than the wearer!

Didn’t Jack Brooksbank go to the University of Bristol? It is a high ranking institution which is pretty selective. That doesn’t quite square with him not being bright.

SenecaFalls · 02/01/2019 13:02

Surely, Kate is required to curtsy to Camilla who is the wife of the next sovereign.

They don't curtsey to people of the same rank (as in HRH). Catherine and Camilla are the same rank, but Camilla is higher in the order of precedence, which has to do with who enters a room first, where people sit, who arrives last to official functions, etc.

Alwayscheerful · 02/01/2019 13:04

Was it Jack's Granny who described him as" not the brightest lad" ?

LaurenDisorderAtChristmas · 02/01/2019 13:06

Happy New Year everyone!

Now I had a dream last night that I was on a train with old fashioned compartments, HMQ was opposite me. I asked how she was. HMQ said Philip won't get out of bed as it's too cosy but he's very well!
HMQ asked me where I was going. I said I can't find it on the timetable. HMQ said she was going to Rhubarb!

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/01/2019 13:07

@katekat383 Apparently he didn't go to university. He managed the Mahiki nightclub at one point and is now a "brand ambassador" for George Clooney's tequila according to this article.

OMG queen that photo is incredible! And why is HM wearing the Sorting Hat?

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/01/2019 13:16

@Alwayscheerful But they've quoted Jack's gran telling the DM so it could be true. Anyway even if he's not bright he seems nice and looks head over heels for Eugenie.

OP posts:
mikado1 · 02/01/2019 14:13

I think it looks like Eugenie is commenting on discomfort in heels and Meg is commiserating/checking she's ok.

Gotstuckwiththisname · 02/01/2019 15:34

Agree it looks like concern between Meghan and Eugenie. The way Meghan pats Eugenie's arm, is kind of like "hello, how are you feeling?" maybe she was feeling unwell / is newly pregnant etc?

WipsGlitter · 02/01/2019 15:36

It's looks like Meghan is saying "love your dress" but is thinking "that dress is hideous".

Lady Louise needs some deportment lessons - she walks with her feet turned out.

BartonHollow · 02/01/2019 15:43

Lady Louise is visually impaired which may affect how she walks due to her spatial awareness

I have often wondered if she will follow Zara but into the Paralympics.

queenofarles · 02/01/2019 15:58

wipsglitter I thought so too, she was "complementing" her on her dress but also checking her midsection for any sign of a bump ?? My Friend does that sometimes. She doesn't mean to I think it's just reflex Grin

E got married a couple of months ago, I hardly think she will announce her pregnancy this early.

strangerthongs · 02/01/2019 15:59

Lady louise is lovely, and yes she had surgery to fix a squint but I'm not sure if her vision is fine now or what?

She dresses very sensibly, with the exception of the outfit at Eugenie's wedding Shock poor girl but I do wish she'd experiment more with her hair. The plaits / ponytail is too young for her.

BartonHollow · 02/01/2019 16:06

She doesn't have "a squint" she has estropia and has had two operations for it.

queenofarles · 02/01/2019 16:06

I loved lady Louise with braids , she was wearing a bit too grown up and formal coat and the braids really softened her look,
Young girls even girls in thier 20s wear braids of all styles.

Haworthia · 02/01/2019 16:14

Is Lady Louise visually impaired or is this just conjecture? I’m aware of her eye issues / surgeries but wasn’t aware that her vision was poor enough to qualify as visually impaired. Especially as she’s never worn glasses.

strangerthongs · 02/01/2019 16:17

just googled, and sophie said her vision is perfect now.

BartonHollow · 02/01/2019 16:26

I stand corrected then, but it looks as if she struggles at times. Eugenie's wedding for example.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/01/2019 16:54

Right, back to matters of style. I've found a Kate Anne Boleyn-style headband in the back of the wardrobe so I'm going to bang on trend in 2019. What do you all think?

(It may also double as a neck pillow...)

Queen I dare you to wear out to the supermarket!

Tinkhasflown · 02/01/2019 17:19

Oops sorry about the dodgy photo, now you've said it, It does look a bit photoshopped alright. It just came up on the Pinterest feed, I didn't even think to click through to the linked site!

Queen you are indeed bang on trend Wink

Clionba · 02/01/2019 17:36

QueenOfTheAndals I think that the gingham is a fresh design for spring, and I'd be surprised if you didn't make Tatler's top fashion list for 2019 GrinGrin

Laiste · 02/01/2019 17:37

Love the head gear Queen Grin

The high heels thing ... nothing looks worse than a woman (or man??) heaving themselves along by the shoulders because they can't walk in the heels they've put on. Why do it?? It's not flattering. There were two offenders in the church video.

You put on a nice outfit, think about your accessories and your hair and make up, want to look polished, want to look smart, know your 'good side' for the cameras ... and then heave ho hunched up the bloody road in heels you can't walk in looking like someone stomping about with the huff Hmm
