In my pootling about on Google this week I came across the photos taken from about a mile away of W+K on honeymoon. Her figure really was startling. This was only a couple of weeks after looking so perfect in her wedding dress but it showed how very very thin somebody had to be in the flesh to look like that in white lace.

When I saw her in this weeks coat, it reminded me of that extreme narrowness. I'm not a massive fan of the look. But clearly this is a weight she feels best at.

You can't say it isn't versatile when having to have constant fittings, she's essentially a clothes hanger. And it's certainly not going to change, if it hasn't changed after 3 pregnancies back to back then there is some serious Victoria Beckham type discipline going on there.

TBF, I've always agreed with Elizabeth Hurley who said, in response to criticism about how quickly she got back into shape after giving birth, that it is her job to wear clothes and look good in them. Kate's "job" is clearly a bit more than that, but how she looks is a major part of it (as these thread attest!)

The lilac dress was beautiful in its simplicity and perfect fit. I used to have a vintage Jaegar dress that fitted me like that - I'm too, ahem, broad for it now unfortunately

I have always thought KM is very very disciplined. No falling out of clubs drunk photos of her anywhere and to maintain that very slender figure must take a lot of effort.

On another note, the Danes will be rocking their tiaras soon at new year! Mary usually wears the full ruby parure and a beautiful velvet number.

Beatrice Borromeo looked so elegant in that outfit... I also love the Italian way of pronouncing Beatrice (Bay-a-TREECH-ae would be my best attempt at spelling it out!) so double win there

Meghan's pom pom dress!! I bet she wears it round the house, it looks comfy. Bizarrely, she looks as pregnant then as she does now!
Never keen on much of the Grimaldi fashion. They're muses for Chanel and Gucci, but some of the stuff doesn't look good! I never thought I'd say that of Chanel.

Beatrice is the most stylish of the Grimaldis. Her wedding dresses (4!) were all stunning.

I know it's not fashion, but every time I see a pic of Peter Phillips, I think what an utterly nice fella he looks. Especially when he's with his DC, it makes me smile.

Unearthed from her high school Christmas concert. She has an excellent voice. ( it’s only about the first three minutes)

Princess Beatrice’s outfit to Eugenie’s wedding made her look like she had no neck and her head was juting forward. That neckline and what looked like bad posture was very unflattering for her.

She has a pretty decent voice. Acting, singing, calligraphy - seems there's no end to our Megs' talents! Now the DM just need to unearth a photo of her dancing...

I hadn't noticed the sleeves on the coat before. Yes, I think they are bracelet length as a fashion thing. The look works better in a coat when wearing gloves, I think.

I think navy tights and ankle boots would have worked well with that look. Love the Pom Pom dress. The clutch bag is a nod to the local crafts - was the dress worn in Fiji or Vanuatu? The Christmas Day boots are too big and have gone baggy. Meghan has teeny tiny legs! I feel guilty for criticising her because I ain’t no looker meself.

It’s the Danish Royal Family’s traditional New Years banquet. They hold it every year. A very glitzy affair, one of their main annual events.

They also do (or did, I’m not sure if it will happen this coming year, or indeed if it happened in the last few years when Prince Henrik was ill) a more informal costume party/ball early in January, which is for close friends and family. The queen used to dress up, and I expect probably designed her own outfits since she is creative like that.

Megan has a lovely voice and despite it being over 20 years ago approx she looks very similar to today.
