Eyebrows - should I go ahead? Pic

Posted yesterday about microblading.

Had a consultation today. It’s been on my mind to get it done for ages.

This is the planned end result, should I go ahead?

Honest opinions please.

Onviously before and ‘after’

And you have most probably seen a lot of people that have had them done, and you haven't realised!!

TheEmmaDilemma · 11/12/2018 18:26

@zoosie even...

Ollivander84 · 11/12/2018 18:28

@TheDowagerCuntess there is no heavy bits or fake edge to mine at all
They're just defined. I hated pencilling mine in, the tinting worked well but it was keeping it up and going through the dark tint bit before they faded down
I have v pale skin and v fair hair

It is taking a chance, because you don't actually know how it's going to look until it's done. By which time it's too late. And you can see people proudly displaying their brows here and ... well I won't say, because it's harsh.

And of course you can tell when someone's had it done, because they don't look like natural brows. They don't - they're not shaped like them. That's the entire point - given how rude people have been about the OP's actual brows.

Zoosie · 11/12/2018 18:31

Ollivander I love your brows!

Ollivander84 · 11/12/2018 18:35

I had a v v good woman do them, I stalked her Instagram for ages
Mine couldn't afford to look fake, I'm a model and have close up skin/eyes photos done. That's why I went for micropigmentation over microblading, and I looked at hundreds of her photos before I committed
I do use brow gel still just to colour the hair as it's pale

TheEmmaDilemma · 11/12/2018 18:38

So this is my in need of shaping brows.. but would you know my left was missing quite a bit?

Ok you seem to have far more superior knowledge than anybody on this thread, but micro blading 😚 how long have you been an eyebrow expert for?

It shows your knowledge that you think you can tell when somebody has had them done 😂

HellenaHandbasket · 11/12/2018 18:42

Both you and OHoly have lovely eyebrows IMO! I'm far from anti makeup etc, I just haven't seen many microbladed brows that look realistic.

My eyebrows are naturally very dark but quite thin/narrow which makes them look dated, like I pluck or shape then that way.

TheDowagerCuntess · 11/12/2018 18:44

You don't need to be an 'eyebrow expert' (LOL!) to have use of your own eyes.

DishranawaywiththeSpoon · 11/12/2018 18:48

I think the microbladed look better but your natural brows are fine Smile It makes you look younger with the top brows. I hate having to fill my brows in everyday so I'm in favour of microblading. Some of my friends have had it done and it looks good!

I don't think it looks dated, I don't listen too much when MNers say something's dated. Skinny jeans have been dated for about 15 years on S&B but they are still here.

You can always learn to fill them in and if at a later date you want the microblading get it done when your more sure

Jaffacakebeast · 11/12/2018 18:55

I prefer natural brows, can always tint and use pencil. I actually really really dislike the straight fake edge of center vertical on bladed brows. Brow fashion changes sooo much too, I would never have something even semi perm on a fashion, especially seen as ur natural brows are good

ExcitedForChristmas18 · 11/12/2018 19:00

I would love to see your eyebrows 😂

OHolyNightOwl · 11/12/2018 19:00

EmmaDilemma, so it's like a brow mascara? Yours look great!
I have tried mascara on them in the past (when really full brows were in fashion), but because mine are so fine and blonde, it was really obvious. Yours you can't even tell you have any on.

Rachelle3211 · 11/12/2018 19:15

Microblading always seems to look so harsh and fake. I would just fill in your natural brows. I've yet to see good microblading.

Zoosie · 11/12/2018 19:23

OHoly - I don’t think your eyebrows are shitty! They’re nice!

Thanks for the solidarity though!

Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Alba, Victoria Beckham, Bella Thorne, Beyonce, Kate Hudson, Selena Gomez,
Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie..Yes all these beautiful women have horrific eyebrows don't they!
But you had all guessed that they had micro blading, because it so obvious and they have slugs on their faces 🤷‍♀️

Roussette · 11/12/2018 19:34

Venelope sorry yes, I am being a bit rude about them. I just prefer the natural look, don't mean to offend.

There are some great eyebrows on here, especially OHolyNight's

Nuffaluff · 11/12/2018 19:42

holy your eyebrows are very nice and natural. And your eyes - wow.
OP. The ‘before’ picture of your eyebrows is fine. They look fine, they really do. Nothing like tadpoles, FFS. What does look weird is that you’ve got your eyes half closed like you’re drugged up on something. That’s not a good look! It’s also taken at a weird angle.
I reckon if we had a picture of your eyes, properly opened and smiling with your normal eyebrows from a normal angle, you’d look lovely.

Nuffaluff · 11/12/2018 19:43

emma. I also like yours with the brow mascara. I would never know which was the one that was very sparse.

ineedtostopbeingsolazy · 11/12/2018 19:46

Would microblading be good for someone with no eyebrows?

CottonSock · 11/12/2018 19:57

My hairdresser told me she travels 3 hours to get hers done in London. Need someone really experienced. I'm too chicken personally (and low maintenance)

Racecardriver · 11/12/2018 19:59

I think your natural brows look better. If you are going to micro blade then stay within your natural brows to keep them looking tasteful.

TheDowagerCuntess · 11/12/2018 19:59

Let's agree to disagree Excited.

The women you list clearly do not have normal looking brows. Confused

I'm not some free-wheeling yeti, for the record. I get my brows threaded every three weeks and tinted. I just don't think this particular style looks either realistic or good.

If you do, no-one's stopping you.

ExcitedForChristmas18 · 11/12/2018 20:08

Of course you do 😂
