Posted yesterday about microblading.

Had a consultation today. It’s been on my mind to get it done for ages.

This is the planned end result, should I go ahead?

Honest opinions please.

Onviously before and ‘after’

Been in the beauty industry for over 14 years now. The after ones look much better. It looks to me like you have overlooked your natural eyebrows over the years!
The gap inbetween your eyebrows is too wide. If you get a ruler and go up from the side on your nose, that's where your eyebrow should start.

People saying they look like tadpoles..don't worry! This shape is the most common that beauty therapists have to sort out!

Definitely go for it, it never looks the same drawn on, as it does the finished results.
Just make sure before she starts that the start of each eyebrow goes perfectly straight upwards!

It will make a huge difference to your face, having it! Do it!!!!

Milliy · 11/12/2018 01:34

Can you not grow your own brows to that shape? I think microblading looks false and I can see the drawn on brows.

DramaAlpaca · 11/12/2018 01:36

No!! Don't do it! Your natural brows look much, much nicer. That 'after' look will date badly.

ExcitedForChristmas18 · 11/12/2018 01:38

You would swear you having a bloody skull tattooed onto your forehead going off some of these comments!

Just make sure you can see previous work she has done, and has all the correct qualifications.

SpeckledyHen · 11/12/2018 06:29

Natural ! So much better than the microblades .

Silkie2 · 11/12/2018 06:42

I think when you meet someone you look at their eyes. However if they have a strange surprised look, have black hard-edged eyebrows, or even light hard-edges unnatural looking eyebrows your eye is drawn to the strange part of their face.
If you think of people you know who are not heavily made up or microbladed you probably couldn't describe what their eyebrows are like, as it should be, because you are looking at their eyes when you speak to them.
The same of course if they are bald through chemotherapy, scarred or have rings or tattoos.

MeVoila · 11/12/2018 06:47

The bladed eyebrows are slightly better- your original eyebrows are good to begin with. They definitely look 'done' as they're so neat and regular, and I'm not a fan of the fake look.
Remember eyebrows are not perfect matches in nature- they say Sisters not twins ( tho mine are first cousins once removed.... )

Soso7789 · 11/12/2018 07:19

Have you been to Benefit to let them do your brows? I think the top are way too harsh and very obviously false...

chopper2311 · 11/12/2018 07:32

First picture is my before & after, second is after the top up where I had more shading to make them a little fuller 😊

Ok so think based on the replies here I’m not going to go ahead. I really think maybe I could look learn to do my own brows a bit better.

I’m not a huge make up person and I actually didn’t consider this as tattooing my face!😱. I think the fact that I’m so easily put off means maybe it’s not for me?!

Disclaimer - I have very unfashionable eyebrows.

I like the shape in the top ones better than your natural shape but it does look quite obviously not natural. The lines are very harsh. Could you achieve a similar shape by filling in with an eyebrow pencil more lightly?

Roussette · 11/12/2018 08:05

I hate these horrible false eyebrows, I hate how the bit where they look all sharp cut in the middle looks so false and ridiculous. No one naturally has eyebrows like this, so why would you have something so noticeably false on your face?

OP, just use something yourself in the way of pencils, it will look far more natural.

TheDowagerCuntess · 11/12/2018 08:58

Good decision.

I've yet to see anyone look better with unnatural shaped, heavy brows, and I'm not averse to a little enhancement. It just needs to look good.

Womantheonlykind · 11/12/2018 09:18

Good choice OP!

The gap inbetween your eyebrows is too wide. If you get a ruler and go up from the side on your nose, that's where your eyebrow should start.

This is bollocks btw, the correct measure is to use your pencil to measure from the bottom of your nose up for the inside and from the bottom of your nose to the outer corner of your eye to shape your brow. This means it is impossible to work out correct placement from a picture showing only brows with no nose!

Never seen an expert going at someone's brows with a ruler ffs!

OHolyNightOwl · 11/12/2018 09:33

This thread has made me aware that I have never even shaped my brows! I only pluck stray hairs underneath. Might do a new eyebrow post!

This fad for eyebrows is stupid

Ollivander84 · 11/12/2018 09:40

I've had micropigmentation, these are mine now

Eyebrows should be sisters not twins. My fav piece of beauty advice.

ExcitedForChristmas18 · 11/12/2018 10:43

Jesus Christ calm down darling! I was thinking of something straight she could use! At gone one in the morning with a baby, seven months of no sleeping, I think I can be allowed off, for a ruler being the first straight egded object I could think of Grin

OHolyNightOwl · 11/12/2018 10:49

ExcitedForChristmas.. that's not really the point though. How can you say the gap of her natural eyebrows is too wide without seeing the rest of her face, including nose?

metronome1 · 11/12/2018 10:54

Absolutely love my micro bladed brows. Definitely do it.
I don't need to wear any makeup now. I have lashes too. I look naturally made up not ott. All iv had is nice comments on them and people asking where I go.
The lady who did mine is very good and I have seen a lot of her work so I knew what I was getting.
Best my eyebrows have ever looked.

Randomusername01 · 11/12/2018 11:16

Get the bladed ones. I've had it done 3 times now and it looks so much better. No faffing about in the morning neither trying to pencil them in.

IdblowJonSnow · 11/12/2018 11:18

Have u tried getting your brows tinted? It adds a lot of definition so is a good halfway solution.

ExcitedForChristmas18 · 11/12/2018 12:10

It is to help her have a rough guide, on how her eyebrows should be!
Without being too harsh with the OP watching this thread, if you can't tell from her before picture that the gap inbetween is very wide and the start of the eyebrows are on a diagonal, then there is something wrong!
This is a classic case of women doing there own eyebrows..not going to a professional!

I would love to see everybody else's 😂
