  1. What is it?
  2. What kind of coverage does it have?
  3. What type of skin do you have?

spam yes!! Totally agree.

I dont find the Rimmel 24 hr full coverage - medium but buildable (also greasy and transfers).

So I received my Makeup Revolution C& D. Not comparable to mufe HD at all. Im so disappointed. It was drying and then broke up by midday .. just awful. Have ordered the stick, will report back. Makeup forever Is still the best there is imo.

No snail murder involved, by the way, OP.... They get the snail secretions by letting the snails toddle over netting and they ooze over that. Don't panic. They don't "juice" them. It wouldn't work. While snail snot is a gross idea, it has it's merits. I try not to think about it, and I like the product.

That’s good to know, lou.

It still hasn’t arrived but will give it a go when it does.

I’ll get Clinique and MUFE samples next and report back on those.

I visited the Dior counter at my local Debenhams yesterday and was really disappointed with it. I asked the assistant for a couple of samples and she flat out refused and said she’d need to apply it to my face first. I explained about my cheeks and how they can be irritable so I’d rather test it out at home but she wasn’t having it. I had a full face of make up so had to remove it in order for her to apply.
She then looked at my cheeks and said ‘oh dear, I’m afraid we don’t have anything that’ll cover that’. And that was it Confused she left to go and ‘help’ someone else. I had to run back to my car to get my makeup and cover the embarrassing bits.

What crap service op. Email Dior and let them know, they might send the samples as a good will gesture. If not she may then be trained properly!

Cheezus! That would be one of the worst examples of customer service I've heard of in a while.... How bloody rude! You might enjoy the Smashbox Primerizer as well. It doubles as a moisturiser and primer and it's LOVELY! Definitely helps things stick and it smoothes the way like no other, and may offer a more even coverage. It's also rather soothing. It seems to play nicely with most other foundations - I have found this is not the case with all primers. I hope this helps!!!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 14/12/2018 16:24

I would have stayed there trying every single of their foundations, and primers, asking her for tissues to take them off until she was sick of the sight of me, just to piss her off. Ah and I would have testing the lipsticks as well.

That's seriously bad service on her part.

SlowNorris · 14/12/2018 17:05

Thank you all, it did leave me feeling a bit down and I’m strongly considering lou’s idea to go in and sample everything Grin might take the 7 year old and some of her friends to ‘help’ me too!

Good plan on taking the kid. That woman was a beast. I would ask her a million questions, ask for a makeover when she's clearly busy, tell her that she made you look like a drag queen and that you're going to one of her competitors to spend millions.

SpamChaudFroid · 14/12/2018 19:53

That's terrible Slow. What an arsehole! I do like the idea of taking DCs to her counter. Take a little 5ml pot in and help yourself to a sample. I have done that before

IT cosmetics too!! Love it!! Wear every day.

And HUDA for a big night out, amazing, a bit £££ but sooooo good

Have gone back to Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and I'm really happy. Light to medium coverage I'd say. Oily skin.

youvegottobekidding · 01/03/2019 10:58

I'm mid 40's and have found for the last couple of years that any heavy foundation seems to age me. I have normal/dry skin. It's fair & freckly.

My everyday to go 'foundation' except it's not a foundation, it's actually a bb cream is Boots Seventeen BB cream, I only got it because it was reduced, as it was being discontinued, but it has been by far the best base I have ever used, it gives really good coverage, without being heavy at all. I ordered about 3 tubes and I'm on my last one. I wish I had ordered more!

Other than that if I do use Foundation I use L'Oréal Infallible Total Cover, it's actually quite lightweight whilst providing a good cover I only need a tiny amount.
