  1. What is it?
  2. What kind of coverage does it have?
  3. What type of skin do you have?

I think I must be alone in my dislike for IT cosmetics CC cream .😃 I got it as a set with the palette, mascara and brush from qvc. The palette is ok, didn’t like the mascara but the brush is excellent.

QVC is with checking out if you like Bobbi Brown skin fundation, every now and then you can get a bottle, foundations stick and brush for £45.

I can't stand foundation that transfers! Anyone else or just me?!

I've tried most of those mentioned except the higher end Dior and YSL.

Revlon Colorstay oily/comb was my daily foundation but the more I see it lately in mirrors and photos it just looks grey and and too dry. Loreal Pro Matte now my every day but the colour match and lasting power not the best (looks like full coverage amazing skin while it lasts though).

For events and photos my go-to is Illamasqua face base, will give you amaaaaazing skin (but at a price - ie break out the next day). Also Urban Decay All nighter - amazing flawless full coverage lasts forever, but is NOT good for your skin.

I havent found one that I loved but the Makeup forever utra HD is close (just not enough coverage!) and so I've just ordered multiple shades in the Makeup Revolution full coverage liquid based on the PP who said it was a good cheap dupe. Will report back - fingers crossed.

Skin - crappy combo breakout prone, liney, live in a hot climate, probably the prime candidate to test foundations really!

Dior Star

medium coverage
not luminous but lovely soft finish

JinglingHellsbells · 12/12/2018 17:50

I found B Brown Skin like water- needed 3 layers to get any coverage and I have good skin, am just very pale. I also found the shades not perfect; porcelain was very pale, next shade up too yellow.

Clinique Even Better Glow is good if the shades match- I found the palest shade a it pink toned but it's a nice foundation.

Beautifullymixed · 12/12/2018 20:40

I have the revolution conceal and define foundation as well, and at first thought it was awesome - if a little drying.
The coverage is great, and it blends like a dream.
Unfortunately, it seemed to break me out, and I came out in huge whiteheads, looking quite unattractive indeed.

However, I do love the revolution fast base stick foundation. My oily, yet ultra dehydrated skin at the moment, is loving this foundation.
It blends like butter, the coverage is awesome, it doesn't crease under the eyes, and when set with powder, it lasts all day long.
I'm so dry atm, I pat some squalene oil under my primer, rimmel fix and protect, and it looks glowy as the day goes on, not oily.
It's only £5, and I love it.

MinesaPinot · 13/12/2018 09:50

I'm rather liking the Julep 5-in-1 that I got from QVC at the moment (and have just repurchased). It's a light coverage which is fine for me as I've got reasonably good skin, but doesn't look cakey in lines. I dust over a bit of Benefit Hoola or Dandelion over the top and I'm good to go. Seems to last as well.

I also like the Clinique Beyond Perfecting as well.

Lelivre · 13/12/2018 10:51

I don’t love it as my skin is a bit too oily...but the revolution stick foundation is pretty good for not settling into lines and pores. For £5 it’s worth a try and lots of colour choice. My mum went straight out and bought some when she saw it on me.

I’m going to give it another chance with a fixing spray as the finish is great.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/12/2018 11:02

Shiseido synchro glow.

Medium to light coverage, lots of shades, feels really natural.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/12/2018 11:04

It’s glow-y, as per the name, but they also have a matt one.

Can recommend highly.

Beautifullymixed · 13/12/2018 16:29

Lelivre did you set the foundation stick with powder?
It really does last all day when setting powder is pressed into the skin with a sponge/puff.
I use a revolution setting spray afterwards, and I find it looks really natural, with great coverage.

Kaz2200 · 13/12/2018 17:01

I usually change my foundation every time I buy a new one as although they are all OK I'm always trying to find something better, intil I tried the Ordinary Serum Foundation. I use one drop on a flat brush it is thin but highly pigmented.

Lelivre · 13/12/2018 17:10

Beautifullymixed. Thanks , I’ll try that and persist with it.

Featherstep · 13/12/2018 17:20

Nars Sheer Glow.
Medium coverage, natural finish. I have combination skin prone to spots.
So many shades and on me, lasts so much better than the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. I find the Bourjois slides off a bit and coverage not as good but keeping that as an everyday option.

SpamChaudFroid · 13/12/2018 17:43

I bought the No7 Custom Blend this week which I'm really liking at the moment. It's intended for mixing with primer or foundation. I've been using it with benefit Porefessional and applied it both with a beauty blender and a foundation buffer brush, really nice results both times. Set with a tiny bit of powder or Mally Poreless Face Defender.

Only thing to watch out for - the colour matching zapper came up with completely the wrong shade, the salesperson matched it by eye instead. I like being able to control the amount of coverage - less drops, sheerer coverage.

SpamChaudFroid · 13/12/2018 17:51

*...With primer or moisturiser, (not foundation!)

ilovewelshrarebit123 · 13/12/2018 17:57

Clinique Beyond Perfect

Full coverage

I'm 50 and on HRT and I have an oily forehead and chin, but dry cheeks.

I love it, it's not cheap but it goes a long way. You can get a 10 day free sample if you go in to see them.

Thatsalovelycuppatea · 13/12/2018 19:02

Boujour healthy skin.
Any max factor
I've tried tarte but I think it's rubbish and don't get all the hype.
Also tried various Clinique ones which are good coverage.

Tutulafromage · 13/12/2018 19:05

Kat Von D Foundation is amazing...can get it from Debenhams!

kitchencurios · 13/12/2018 21:51

Another Dior Dream Skin, love it, feels barely there but covers and moisturises all day.

laramara · 13/12/2018 22:19

I'm using Guerlain Lingerie de peau foundation over a Laura Mercier primer, it gives a very natural finish and is easy to apply using a kabuki brush, I'm very pleased with it.

olympicsrock · 13/12/2018 22:39

Boujois healthy Mix gel foundation.
Light to medium coverage - with super blendable glowy cover.

I have combination skin and am 40z
Hands down best foundation ever!

hartof · 13/12/2018 22:40

Day to day Revlon Colorstay. Going out Huda beauty foundation. Skin is combination

squishee · 13/12/2018 22:50

Me me me mousse foundation in Nude - scalable coverage - combi skin.

SpamChaudFroid · 13/12/2018 23:03

I do wish foundations would standardise their colours/shades though. Instead of honey, beige, golden etc., they could be divided into dark, medium and light, and the shades yellow, neutral and pink. So a "light medium neutral" for example. Wouldn't that make things easier?

HildaZelda · 14/12/2018 00:29

My everyday one is Rimmel 25 hour. The one with the red top. It's medium - full coverage, quite buildable.
I have normal tending towards oily skin.

For going out I like either ELDW or Mac Studio. Both full coverage.
