Glossybox advent calendar 2018

Anyone else with the Glossybox calendar and want to discuss what you’ve got each day ?

Day 1 - not a shade I would have chosen (I got the pink-red called Burning Love) but it actually looks really good on. I like the texture, gloss enough to be able to put a light layer on if you don’t want to go the whole hog.
All in all, v pleased with that for day 1.

Anyone else ?!

Today’s is interesting. Never seen this before.

Top products since last time are the mousse ( l like mousse but so many are rubbish that it’s nice to get a small one to try out) and konjac sponge. The brush is nice too and will make a good little gift. The lip products are a bit meh, would have liked a colour too. The hair mask will probably get used, anyone tried theirs yet?
That eyeshadow palette! Not for me, into the swap pile.
The konjac sponge was a big yes from me, I use them all the time and my last one has literally just fallen apart. For those that have never used them, I use them to remove cleanser and lightly exfoliate like a flannel. Once soaked they are very soft and lovely.

I’m loving the sponge. Wasn’t expecting to be wowed by a vegetable sponge of all things

Today’s is going on the swaps pile. Looks fancy but I don’t need more lip stuff in my life.

Argh, another lip product!! Ive used a product like this before and hated it. Will pop in the not using pile!

Jelly shot lipstick £8 I'm happy enough with this product, I'll use it eventually
Sparkly eyeshadow £7.66 I'm excited for this as a metallic copper eyeshadow was being recommended on another S&B thread and this seems to fit the bill
Highlighter brush £19.91... the price makes it more exciting :)

Glad you liked what’s left though! I’ve left all mine in the calendar (except the sponge since I needed one) so on Christmas Day I’ll unpack it all again and decide what’s being kept.

The jelly shot thing looks pretty and I’ll probably use it (I have so many lip balms though...), the metallic stuff will be going, looks fun but I know I’d never use it.
Brush.. I can’t get excited about a brush, I have a shedload and only ever use 3, a good value product for a calendar though so I don’t think anyone can complain.

Anyone tried something they really love so far?

I’ve liked the brushes and the Nars lip thing. I really like the skinlongevity serum, I’m hoping it makes a difference!

I’ve been away for a few days so am catching up now. From the last few boxes, like: highlighter, hand cream. On the swaps pile: glitter, makeup brush.

I’ve used all the serum already (the bareminerals one)! It was good, felt less plasticky than the Nip and Fab one but I think retrospectively that maybe I was putting way too much of the N&F one on. So will try again with less and see how I get on.

Bit sick of lip products now, would of been happy with a nail varnish or something!

Wow that’s a colour and a half ! I quite like a bit of a goth look sometimes but the consistency of this is exactly what I don’t like in lip colours - too gloopy and sticky. Not for me unfortunately.

On the plus side it turns out that my friend who I gifted a box to likes all the opposite things to me - she’s using all the lip stuff etc. And doesn’t like the highlighter, serum etc. So that should make swaps easy !

My wishes for the final few boxes - another cleanser, eyebrow pencil type thing, nail varnish, shampoo. I know we won’t get all of those but they are the general areas I feel we haven’t touched on yet.

Id quite like a cleanser, maybe a facial oil, eyebrow pencil, nail varnish or just some skincare! Lets see what the next 5 days have to offer!

Fat eye colour today. Haven't used before but looks nice. I like the look of the mask very much.

There are some great things in this calendar aren’t there? I really liked the Christmas Day item too.

Liking the face oil today ! I’ve just finished my usual night cream so this may come in handy.

That just leaves tomorrow’s window (which I may cheat and open tonight), and then we’re done. Thanks for joining me, those who’ve posted. Would love to hear what your favourite items have been - and what’s on the swaps pile ....

My favourites are the mascara, eye shadow pencil, face sponge, NARS lip gloss, candle, hair treatment and the conditioner.

On the swaps pile: lip primer and topcoat, the two brushes, the pot of glitter.
