Glossybox advent calendar 2018

Anyone else with the Glossybox calendar and want to discuss what you’ve got each day ?

Day 1 - not a shade I would have chosen (I got the pink-red called Burning Love) but it actually looks really good on. I like the texture, gloss enough to be able to put a light layer on if you don’t want to go the whole hog.
All in all, v pleased with that for day 1.

Anyone else ?!

Liked today's mascara! Seems like a good mascara for day to day wear as opposed to a night out etc

starrynight19 · 05/12/2018 19:24

Really pleased with the mascara. Have used it today and it has worn well.
Happy it’s a full sized product to.

SlowNorris · 05/12/2018 20:51

Renarde how much was it in the sale if you don’t mind me asking?

JennyHolzersGhost · 06/12/2018 09:29

Lip primer today ! Probably more useful for someone who wears a strong lip regularly - I’m a novice in that world. But I like the smell !

Ive never actually a lip primer before, i tend to use a lipbalm and then pop on a lipstick/gloss. I did try it today, it did matte my lipstick and lasted a good few hours. I couldnt stand how dry my lips felt so went back to my lipbalm. Ill use it to again, but i wouldnt buy one when i run out!

starrynight19 · 06/12/2018 19:49

Lip primer not really for me , don’t often wear lipstick and find if I wear it it dries my lips out.

RenardeRenarde · 06/12/2018 21:03

@slownorris it went down to £65 on Black Friday and if you added the Karl Lagerfeld box you could get both for £65.01. It was the 1p “extra” box that made it feel like a steal I think, these companies know what they’re doing Grin

RenardeRenarde · 06/12/2018 21:03

Haven’t opened the lip primer, I prefer lip tints or balms to lipstick so probably not for me, another for the “pass on” pile

SlowNorris · 06/12/2018 22:03

Grin Renarde that was definitely a steal and I’ll be following in your footsteps next year!

JustLurkingAway · 06/12/2018 23:14

Don't regularly wear lip products so not the product for me today!

Lelly78 · 07/12/2018 06:37

Today's smells lovely but don't know much about the brand? Nice but a bit of a filler maybe?

Caggie09 · 07/12/2018 07:34

I think my nose is broken! I usually love sweet smells, but this is too sweet for me. Shall use up though. I have heard of this brand, last year Superdrug gave free gift sets of this brand out with orders.

JennyHolzersGhost · 07/12/2018 09:45

Not a fan of sweet scents or baking themed stuff but this will get used when I’m travelling in the next few weeks.

Hmm bit of a filler product this one, not too keen on the smell but will probably use it up in a few washes anyway

JustLurkingAway · 07/12/2018 21:10

Today's shower cream smells nice, not a wow product though!

Caggie09 · 08/12/2018 08:56

Ohh im very happy with this! I can throw my beauty blender away now!

JustLurkingAway · 08/12/2018 09:13

JennyHolzersGhost · 08/12/2018 10:16

JustLurkingAway · 08/12/2018 20:42

Lelly Thats interesting to see actually!

Caggie09 · 09/12/2018 06:52

Not excited about todays, i dont use hair products that often, ill give it ago. But just to use it up!

JennyHolzersGhost · 09/12/2018 09:38

Thanks Lelly that’s really interesting ! I got mine in the sale for £60 so by my reckoning that means I’ve paid £2.50 per day. Most days have been worth more than that to me, so I reckon it’s good value so far.

I don’t usually use hair products other than a bit of leave in conditioner sometimes so am quite interested to learn to use today’s. And I could do with some extra volume.

JustLurkingAway · 09/12/2018 10:45

Think I might put today's on the swaps pile, I already have a v strict hair routineGrin

starrynight19 · 09/12/2018 16:49

Loved the brush yesterday.
I like Charles Worthington products so will give it a try.
I think it’s definately worth the money when you look at the value of the products.

Caggie09 · 10/12/2018 09:40

Ohh i love skincare! I think this is in another advent i have, happy to have two if thats the case. Never tried anything BareMinerals. So far so goodGrin
