Day 15- Lixiraskin Electrogel Cleanser

Liberty Advent Calendar 2018
OP posts:
santababyconvertible · 15/12/2018 08:52

Probably one for me to use when I come back from London!

Sausagefingers9 · 15/12/2018 09:06

I’ve just been given this for my birthday, very excited! Love everything so far, can’t wait to try them out.

santababyconvertible · 15/12/2018 09:14

Great to have you here @Sausagefingers9 !

This looks interesting, but the "science" made me laugh:

"Based on the knowledge that things that are bad for your skin generally have a positively electric charge, this formula includes negatively charged electrogel, which attracts, captures and eliminates toxins for an unbeatably deep cleanse."

littlepooch · 15/12/2018 11:35

Happy with today's - I'm intrigued!

Is it a once a week type deep cleanse do we think?

I'm disappointed as I think the pixi glow is making me break out on my chin. Every time I try it, it does this! Everyone else raves about it!! Such a shame it just doesn't seem to suit me

cardoon · 15/12/2018 11:41

Following but not contributing Xmas Blush but does anyone else think the Votary cream smells rather unpleasant?

HappyInL0nd0n · 15/12/2018 12:27

Yes, cardoon! It's doing wonders for my skin (I'm using it as a night cream) but I don't like the scent at all.

Getting lots of compliments on my skin from all the new products, though am finding it a bit hard to work out a) which ones are making the difference or b) whether it's just the regular application of any kind of products (I'm a bit hit and miss ordinarily).

Loving the calendar. Am enjoying all the products except the deodorant which left me a bit 'meh'. Faves are the eye brightener and the hair texture one. Feeling sad there are only 10 doors left.... Sad

santababyconvertible · 15/12/2018 13:06

Shall we have a round up of swaps at the end ?

OP posts:
littlepooch · 15/12/2018 13:18

Yes to swaps - I will have a few unopened ones and the wretched pixi glow to swap !

GinandGingerBeer · 15/12/2018 15:58

Yes! @cardoon
I posted about it being pongy up thread but nobody else felt the same. It's a bit health food shop meets day old porridge Grin
Although the smell isn't as pungent now I've held my breath and used it a few times. I wouldn't buy it myself though, but I do love votary oil, that smells divine!

Costacoffeeplease · 15/12/2018 15:58

My votary cream doesn’t smell of anything Confused

cardoon · 15/12/2018 16:34

Mine smells of shit - literally Xmas Shock

But to be fair it does wear off after a wee while

chickydoo · 15/12/2018 16:55

I quite like the smell

Stitchosaurus · 15/12/2018 17:17

I’ve had a poke around online about today’s cleanser and people mostly seem to recommend it as a second cleanse, apparently it’s not great at removing make up. I’ll try it tonight and see what I think. Do love the packaging!

Interesting that the votary cream stinks for some people, it’s completely odourless for me and I normally have a very strong sense of smell!

imp2007 · 15/12/2018 17:18

Love the Votary cream def one of my faves so far - don't mind the smell!!!

Twotabbycats · 15/12/2018 17:47

I'm a bit behind, but was very happy to see the Dr Sebagh serum. Knew it was in there and loved it last year so was waiting for it to come along. I use it at night before a facial oil - seems to help my skin absorb the oil.

Today's cleanser looks nice, will try it tonight though I am laughing at the card too!

My numbering is definitely screwed up... my no.13 box contained the card and product for no.18 (wasn't my eyesight after all). But I have no box numbered 18 and 2 no. 25s, as I mentioned before!

chloechloe · 15/12/2018 19:19

No. 25 is usually a good’un, so maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if you got two of the same tabby! Having said that, my no. 25 from last year is still unopened Hmm

Twotabbycats · 16/12/2018 00:19

I think my 25s are different as I had a sneaky feel inside chloechloe! Can't remember now whether last year's 25 was the candle or the perfume - I love the perfume and used it a lot, like the candle too but it seems too nice to burn!

So one of my 25s, which I will open instead of the missing 18, must contain the item that everyone else got in no.13! It's making my brain hurt Shock

santababyconvertible · 16/12/2018 08:57

Day 16- Hourglass mascara

Liberty Advent Calendar 2018
OP posts:
chloechloe · 16/12/2018 09:57

tabby the candle was in 25 last year. I loved the perfume too!

I’m pleased with the mascara today as im a fan of Hourglass - they have really lovely products. I just went out and brought a new Benefit mascara this week though - I should have known to hold out for the calendar instead! I desperately need to reduce my beauty stash as it is immense Blush

imp2007 · 16/12/2018 10:00

Happy with today's!!! Been looking forward to trying this Smile

Stitchosaurus · 16/12/2018 10:19

Tried the mascara this morning and liked it, I was after some more make up bits in the calendar so am happy with this.

chloe and tabby - another fan of the perfume from previous years here, thought it was odd at first smell but now love it. I hope you end up with everything you’re supposed to tabby!

HundredMilesAnHour · 16/12/2018 10:29

I'm disappointed with the mascara today. Haven't tried it but it says 'easily removed with water' so I'm not sure it's really suitable for the current UK climate. Wink I always wear waterproof mascara so I don't think I'll be using this one.

starsky22 · 16/12/2018 12:35

I wanted to try out the hourglass mascara, so pleased with todays. I used it this morning and love the mascara, but found it difficult to apply as the wand is so short. I think for the price of the calendar they could have put in a full sized mascara to be honest!
