Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

You've all given me lots of orange to investigate. Thank you! Primark dupe of pomegranate noir is worth a sniff to see if you like it.

HELP WANTED!

A complete perfume ignoramus here - don't know a topnote from a topnot or a chypre from a shyster - so I'm very much in awe of your knowledge, and hopeful you'll be able to help me.

I'm currently using Estee Lauder Take it Away total makeup remover and love the smell of it. I can't describe it, but is there anyone on here who a) knows it and b) knows a fragrance that's the same?

That's great news Wolves and Teta. Think if we are all OK to each send two little warpped samples rather than one to our partner, we can fill the calendar by being 'it' twice? Hope that makes sense and suits everyone?

I'm going to have a play around with names and dates, and PM you all - this may be tomorrow or Wednesday rather than tonight.

Following the orange suggestions, I put Shay & Blue Blood Oranges on my right arm and Hermes Eau d’Orange Verte on my left. I forgot to mention the EOV earlier, but it really is a summer scent. It’s a fresh bitter orange, very lovely for the two hours it lasts. The Blood Oranges, in contrast, lasted 5-6 hours on me. I had forgotten how much I like it 😊.

SheHasNotions, There are some days when nothing but a Pink Minger will do! I have a soft spot for Britney’s Midnight Fantasy and Rocker Femme.

Fennel - really sorry to hear you are disappointed with your creation. Are you sure it's that bad? Can you get a second opinion? And have you kept the formula? I wonder what's going on - is one thing dominating, and if so, do you have an idea what that might be? Is it any better on paper rather than skin?

I'm not sure if it is possible to rebalance it at this stage, but you can get materials in small quantities relatively cheaply. (And there is a set in the Indiegogo release I think?). But I'm not sure, given it's already 'mulched down' a bit, about adding stuff at this point?

If it makes you feel any better I produced something I initially quite liked at a workshop. In a fit of complete madness, (I was going through a leather phase), I added a drop of leather when I got home. And of course utterly destroyed it. (I won't do that again!). But, as I had small quantities of some other perfumery materials at home, I did eventually manage to wrangle it back to something just about wearable. Quite a long way from where I started, but I don't feel quite so badly about it now.

@Mrsr8 is the extra sexiest scent considerably 'better' than the original? I quite like the subtlety of the original once it's settled on me, so am I unlikely to be wowed by extra?
