Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Went into town to sample some perfumes today, as I was thinking of asking for one for Christmas. I’d actually already tried them, but just wanted to remind myself of the smell. I only actually found one of them, sprayed on a little bit and I can still just about smell it a little bit! It’s the most expensive of the ones I like the look of, naturally 😐

What a nightmare OneNight Is it a Chiari malformation? Its good for your instincts to be proved right when you're know something's wrong but any "satisfaction" is kind of outweighed by such worrying news. Obvs don't feel you have to reply with any IDing information, but feel free to PM me if you like, as a fellow Perfumistas whose brain hates her (not Chiari but similar). Are we too small a sample for the Venn diagram to be expanded?

On that note, my knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation particularly has gone to shit (technical term ) today so please do excuse any illegibility!

MrsR I don't have any London 1969 sadly, I do like the sound of it as I adore (as DH calls it ) "the smell of a hippy in a charity shop" - see also Lush Karma

SOTD is Prada Iris Cèdre to match the clean bedding which has a gorgeous smell but alarming and slightly terrifying patterns :) The cat has avoided my bed for 24 hours which is unheard of!

blahblahblah It’s DKNY Be Tempted, in the same sort of range as Be Delicious. The ones I couldn’t find were Ô de L’Orangerie and Ô d’Azur by Lancôme; as I said, I’d already tried them but wanted to remind myself of the smell. They’re both available on the John Lewis website.

Does anyone have Le labo labdanum and shalimar and can tell me how similar they are? Because fragrantica says they are. However I love labdanum, but shalimar is "my mums perfume"
And then I sprayed labdanum and went "oh shit, it IS shalimar"... and it could save me £££

SotD Connock Vittaveli. Second perfume I've had from this house and as Antiroba was my favourite perfume from The Big Sniff I was looking forward to this. Vittaveli is an island in the Maldives and this is like a bouquet of exotic blooms. Gorgeous green florals. Not very seasonable but nevertheless lovely.

Really enjoyed trying it Count - thank you. The upside down structure is a bit of a marvel. Very different development on skin and on paper. The toasted nutty/seedy notes stick around much longer on paper. Dying to know what you made of it Count?

Eau d iparie vintage today. It’s so cold here and gentle Ambery incense feels just right. It’s a limping and carol concert ride to the end of term here. Though I’ve just blown my PayPal funds from eBay on Wrap & Poetry sale jumpers. I’m hoping they will look awful 😁.

Am already in (PP) Opium today as it makes me feel very Christmassy. I was trying to post last night to say for fans of Opium, the Shearer Frankincense and Myrhh candles are very similar and make the house smell gorgeous. Highly recommended! They do a diffuser (is that the word?) too.

It's absolutely freezing here! I was planning to go out to get last Christmas bits but might give it a miss. Pyjamas and Opium and eight million mince pies sound much more tempting!

I say "last" Christmas bits, this is not a smuggy stealth boast but as I've had so many unplanned hospital trips this year I was so worried about not being here to do it if I left it. DH is never home atm (working all the hours he can get) so could see the DC getting a stocking with just a satsuma in it on Christmas morning if I wasn't here!

Three different 4160T half price scents right now (imagine TKD is about to finish, plus Sexiest Scent and Black Velvet Cafe).

Back in Take me to the River, which I like a lot, and which reminds me ever so slightly of both White Queen and Parallel. If anyone isn't getting on with theirs, and fancies a swap, let me know!

No SOTD today or yesterday. My on/off cold has hit me like a ton of bricks, and I have actually been off work. SO ill. ☹️
