Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Ah Lonestar Memories was the one I was thinking of Judy, thank you! I might try that tomorrow and keep the other one for my next advent review. All very exciting Grin.

SOTE is the last of my perfume society sample of Profumi del Mastro Profumaio Fior Di Panna. I love it and it is on my FB wish list. Such a clean, soothing, powdery wrist-sniffer...

I'm also out out next weekend. I'm too old for this GrinGrin

OutComeTheWolves · 08/12/2018 22:47

I've tried London 1969 mrs8 it's an unusual one but one of my favourites. It starts as a gorgeous really zingy lemon then fades into something completely different. I think it's quite woody but dh said the other week that I "smelled like a hippy" while I was wearing it. I'm not really sure what he mean by it but he knows very little about perfume or hippies so I ignored him.

It's the initial smell that I love though. If I could find something that smelled exactly like the top notes and lasted for hours, I'd be throwing my money at them.

I have just rolled in BlushGrin

Puts second pint glass of water and a chocolate bar on Ollivander's bedside table very quietly indeed. Shhhh!

Oh ollivander I'm so jealous. I too was awake at 4.40, but with a baby trying to do a poo. I want to go out out!

(I did actually go out yesterday, and got all glammed up, for my first ever Muslim wedding, but we were home by 5pm, and I obviously haven't got a hangover - oh and I wore rouge Avignon cos my dress deserved something FIT)

MrsLucas · 09/12/2018 10:20

Morning All - lovely to read your review Wolves.

Giving the crowd funders a proper run out today. On first sniff I like both.

SheHasNotions · 09/12/2018 10:23

Morning all. Great review Wolves. I’ve never tried Santal Royal and now longing for a sniff!

Not sure what SOTD will be yet, but it’s going to need to be something cosy. I’m drained from OFSTED this week (outcome wasn’t good, either Sad) and currently lying on the sofa main long tea. Lovely friend has invited us to Sunday lunch later, though, so at least I don’t have to cook or even think today.

SheHasNotions · 09/12/2018 10:24

mainlining tea

FloofyCatLovesChristmas · 09/12/2018 10:43

with all the grace of a baby elephant

Olli, do UberEats deliver to you? I recommend a sausage and egg McDonald's breakfast. And fat coke. Being sober at Christmas is a finely balanced act between being insanely jealous of everyone but then feeling incredibly smug in the mornings Wink A small confession, whenever I see the term "full bottle" on here I automatically still think vodka BlushGrin

Gorgeous advent reviews, absolutely loving them! Like Teta I click on them first thing :) What a great idea and organisation from MrsL Thanks BookMe are you sampling at random along with us in spirit? (Spirit = vodka, still Xmas Grin)

Henhausfrau I love limes! I think it stems from Meg and Little Women in childhood Smile Penhaligons used to do an amazing extrait one but it's discontinued one. One of their others has good limes though, but I can't remember which one - is it Quercus? Sure someone here will know.

Hope everyone is having a stressless Advent weekend as possible!

Ollivander84 · 09/12/2018 12:36

I'm weirdly fine! If I tell you what I drank... Blush

2 glasses of wine
2 corona
Gin - I had a sipsmith one, a king of soho and a Mason's
3 Malibu and coke
6 ciroc and lemonade
4 shots of apple sours

OutComeTheWolves · 09/12/2018 12:48

Ollivander I'm impressed and jealous. Sounds like a great night.

If that was me I wouldn't have a hangover either, but only because I'd still be drunk. The hangover would be along later.

Lotsofpots · 09/12/2018 12:58

wolves I wouldn't still be drunk cos I'd be dead. Kudos ollivander. I agree with floofy re McDs. Though I always go for a chicken nugget meal with a cheeseburger on the side and a full fat coke. The perfect mix of salt, fat and sugar. Cures all hangovers.

SOTD is Shay and Blue Salt Caramel. God I love this.

I'm out next Saturday too. And too old for this GrinGrin

Ollivander84 · 09/12/2018 13:15

We did have a three course meal which probably mopped up some of the alcohol

SheHasNotions · 09/12/2018 19:39

Jesus Olli that’s impressive! 😆

I wore Sexiest Scent today fir Sunday lunch with friends where we subkn5 bottles wine between 4. Wasn’t intended. Slightly reckless. But oh well! It’s Xmas 🎄

No SOTD here. I had a massive bath with AA Deep Relax, then just dabbed some of the oil on afterwards. DP cooked Lorraine Pascale’s glam mac and cheese for dinner, and I am now lying on the couch practically crying because I am so full.

SheHasNotions · 09/12/2018 20:48

Just to add

My hangover cure is either (when have to get up) - Macy Dees breakfast, litre of ice cold coke, followed by much iced water and tea.

And sleep.
