hmmm, im not sure about my best/worst purchases this year as really, i havent bought that much. Ive mainly bought things like tights, underwear and pjs. that said i have bought a few clothes in the last week int he sales, a stand out being the navy cord pinafore dress i got

So thinking about best and worst buys - I've not actually purchased much this year but have found I'm wearing more of what I have and love and what I don't like, I've been selling on ebay.

Best buys:
Dune sliders - wore all summer
black hush dress
Mulberry bayswater (small & preloved but it's perfect size for me & use it a lot)
Grey & orange scarf
Laura Mercier lipstick in a dark pink shade

Worst buys:
Can't think off hand of any major fails but am slightly disappointed with a couple of MV tops I purchased in the summer not least because they were reduced by more than 50% in the sales Hmm

Queen I'm with you on the photo front - I just don't photograph well (that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it)

A major disappointment I've just remembered is I burnt a hole in the collar of a Whistles shirt having worn it once. I was so cross with myself. I'm going to take it to the lady that does my alterations and see if she can turn the collar over or remove it completely

Hello we’re back in body if not spirit! It was so nice my perfect weather over 30 and humid. Loved it. So pretty. Already hankering to go back. Luckily going to Aus soon will help.

Ahhhh happy birthday miniMarsha.

It's 2019 here...I'm going to look back on 2018 some day as a major life turning point , but right now I just feel like a worn out dishcloth, just completely exhausted. New country, house, job etc has taken it out of me and I feel I'm limping tattered and torn into 2019 - here's hoping for a mojo reboot over the next 12 months.

As ever, thanks to all of you for just being you and being here - has meant a lot having you all and this thread as a constant safe space in all the upheaval. Sending love and good wishes to all the MNV crew for 2019.

I want 2019 to be the year of happiness. Whether that’s with or without my marriage I’m not sure yet. But this year has been about surviving and I feel like I’m coming out the other end. I’m returning to a career I love and I lead a pretty privileged life. I have a wonderful network of friends (yourselves all included) and I feel incredibly lucky.

Anyway, I haven’t even been drinking yet Grin but love to you all my gorgeous voguettes

It’s been a big year Voguettes.
New babies, new challenges, relocations, ill health but we’re all still here, still talking fashion and finding our way through.
Sending you all most amounts of love this NYE. May 2019 bring a bucket load more happiness to us all. MWAH.

It’s been another amazing year with you all, and I love this group so much....sending you all hugs.
For me 2018 has been about new challenges and proving that your never too old.
My New Years résolution is to give up cling film (random) it’s a small and easy thing for me to do. I was thinking about sellotape too but that’s a bit trickier.
I’m staying in with DH (am even thinking of getting comfy in my pjs Shock ) after out early new year celebrations last night/this morning.
Dcs are out on the town.

I'm already in my pjs. I went out in Soho for lunch with siblings in memory of my Dad. ( his birthday would be this week and sadly he died on a Christmas Eve) The champagne is open & it's quite a relief not to have to get dressed up & go out.

Thanks Marsha and Dry. It's a yearly event for us now, he died 9 years ago and now we meet for food and drinks and tell our happy stories about him, (also the grumpy stories) It's helped us all come to terms with losing him and brought us so much closer together.

this year has been an...odd one for me. so much has changed and so fast. I'm not sure my head has caught up with it all yet truth told. still, it's not been the worst year i've had by a long stretch, just odd

tucked up in my pjs and onesie since i'm freezing and waiting for pizza!

Happy New Year!!

We had a quiet but lovely one, staying with great friends in the countryside, had pasta with truffles and drank vintage krug in my loungewear then sat around the fire with the dc.

Very best wishes and much love to all of you and lib defo count me in, I really miss you.

QueenC am so happy for you about getting your career back. Like you I am lucky to have a choice regarding work but so value the independence and sense of purpose doing something I enjoy gives me.

Dream sending you much love, it losing a parent is so hard even as an adult. Your family sounds lovely and close.
