Nice dress mara and looks suitable for lots of occasions.

Your day out sounds nice fedup.

Hope all ok with your DF shop. Trousers sound perfect for that top.

I was in town yesterday and popped into libertys. I got the trish mcevoy under eye concealer. I was thinking of the eye brightening pencil, but the girl recommended the eye lift concealer instead. It does brighten up my eye area but it is quite thick and seems to accentuate my under eye wrinkles more Hmm. shop and dry is this what you have? How do you find it? Is it actually any better than touché eclat? Not sure if I was just expecting a miracle! I have also been using this but c serum by balance me (as there was 1/3 off in Waitrose Grin. I wasn’t sure it was doing much at first but after a couple of weeks use I would say that my skin does seem brighter and clearer. I’m not sure it’s as ‘scientific’ as some vit c serums out there, but it smells nice and has a nice consistency and isn’t too expensive.

I have a different one Everyone it needs a primer otherwise it creases but is brilliant.

DryWhiteagainW · 05/12/2018 21:19

Everyone I don’t have that one. I’m a big Touche éclat fan, but currently using a v cheap one DD recommended.

DryWhiteagainW · 05/12/2018 21:21

Nice dress Mara

I wore a wool crepe very fitted dress the other day. I’m so used to the comfort of jersey fabrics it felt claustrophobic. Funny how fabrics have changed.

shopafrolic · 05/12/2018 22:05

I love Touche Eclat but not in photos.....

I bloody love that dress shop.

Took delivery of a lovely red Ghost dress today, which I'll wear to our work party. Feel so glam in it!

Also got this one to wear for a work event I'm hosting tomorrow night.

I'm like Chris DeBurgh's muse.

MarshaBradyo · 06/12/2018 13:17

Nice Amber

My god the loyalty am dying, carried dd across town to get to Liberty

Having restorative break in the cafe

My arms : (
My as well look at the sale which I didn’t realise had started

FedupNagging · 07/12/2018 16:52

Where is everyone? Anyone would think we're all busy 'cos of chrismtas Grin

Lovely dresses Amber; hope the work do was successful.

My only purchase in town the other day (apart from prosecco & cocktails) was the hourglass mascara. didnt have time/cba to hunt for clothes!

MarshaBradyo · 07/12/2018 17:33

I’m here Fedup not sure where others are

I think Lib is coming over but can’t remember if it’s certain (Lib?)

I didn’t buy clothes yesterday because there was a high certainty I’d get trapped on any floor but the 4th. Too many able bodied people in the lift Shock to fit the pram in

FedupNagging · 07/12/2018 18:06

As usual, on my way to the food hall, I saw a couple of things in M&S I liked the look of:
Mustard coat - also in Amethyst; both not colours I can wear, but liked the style
Polo neck jumper I would so wear this in the marine colour.

Sequin top from &OS caught my eye on Weds as did these velvet trousers and a leopard print turtle neck which I can't find on the website.

FedupNagging · 07/12/2018 18:07

Meant to say Marsha the lifts in Liberty take ages and always full; did dd like all the Christmas baubles?

MarshaBradyo · 07/12/2018 18:24

Oh they’re all lovely Fedup

She kind of did but the crowds were a bit intense for her too. The cafe was so full too. Luckily she slept as it took ages

shopafrolic · 08/12/2018 18:38

OMG Claudia looks insanely good

Where is everyone?

Stokey · 09/12/2018 08:22

Hi Dry, I'm around but knee deep in Christmas stuff last week and next week. Had the school winter fair on Friday, drinks party last night and massive pub lunch - think there are 30 adults and 25 kids - today! Then theatre on Tuesday, my work party on Wednesday & DH's on Thursday, plus a nativity play in there somewhere.

I wore the Stories black & gold midi dress last night. It looks good but the metallic thread makes it rather scratchy. Think for pub lunch today I'll be in black jeans (ends chopped off), Pyrus silk Monstera leaf shirt, Christmas jumper - sparkly penguins - and black ankle boots with silver flames. What's everyone else up to?

Also anyone got a good present idea for my DM? She's 70 and lives in Australia so it needs to be something I can order there. I was thinking some beauty cream but not sure what would be good for that age group. She's not really into anything particular, so it's tricky.

DryWhiteagainW · 09/12/2018 08:49

Gosh Stokey I feel exhausted for you!
Today I’m putting the decks up and cooking for next week as I have a small op tomorrow and don’t know how long I’ll be recovering for (2 weeks is what I’m telling DH as I have a lot of Netflix to catch up on Wink )

Longislandicetee · 09/12/2018 16:12

I know how you feel Stokey! Been such a busy few weeks for me.

Today we don't have much on so have had a nice roast beef lunch with Cabernet Sauvignon, while listening to Christmas music with our Christmas lights on everywhere and even using our Santa tablecloth. The wine made me have a post lunch snooze so it feels like a mini Christmas!Xmas Grin

Today's outfit is my obligatory Christmas jumper - this one is pink with a sparkling reindeer on the front, with my Theory leather leggings and a Santa hat. Sounds odd but, I promise you it worksXmas Grin. Yesterday was a red Christmas jumper with a reindeer on front with my j crew toothpick jeans and my grey suede lowlander boots and the Santa hat. I was helping out at a Christmas stall. I have no excuse today!

I have been enjoying my Jo Malone advent calendar. Can't remember everything but, so far I have got: Orange Bitters Cologne, Oud & Bergamot Cologne, Basil & Neroli Body wash, Earl Grey & Cucumber cologne, body creme and wood sage sea salt cologne which i am wearing today. It's been lovely using the different scents each day.

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday, we will be doing more online present shopping later.Xmas GrinWine

Longislandicetee · 09/12/2018 16:13

Aargh forgot to say, I will be thinking of you Dry.Thanks

Ambernectarine · 09/12/2018 17:43

Good luck dry - hope it goes well

I've mostly just been pissed, tbh.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/12/2018 06:41

hi all. sorry ive been missing lately, ive been really ill, as per and have now finally found out what is making me ill and has been making me ill for the last god knows how many years. Apparently i have a genetic brain malformation which has been missed over a looooooooong period of time and was discovered recently when i was having a scan because i had a concussion! Could potentially need a bit of surgery to relieve symptoms but will know more once i've had another MRI and seen the specialists. Kinda feels weird to know now because i've been dismissed by doctors, friends and family for years over it, no one believed that i was ill even though i kept saying i was and i kept insisting something was wrong but i kept getting brushed off and told it was either whats already wrong with me or that i was an attention seeking fool with health anxiety. i was right all along though!

maradesbois · 10/12/2018 09:38

Morning!

Omfg One! I came on to post about my velvet bag but bloody hell, doesn’t seem appropriate after that. So happy for you that you have a diagnosis. Does this explain the chronic pain or is that separate? Sending much love and support. Xx

shopafrolic · 10/12/2018 10:36

Wowsers One good to know the reasons why I guess. I hope it’s treatable and you get to see a longer term improvement x
