Oh loads of talk...this is great.

Marsha my sewing skills are restricted to skirts and sleeveless dresses.....trousers and sleeves are too hard.
Bernice yes and April/May time I think.
Blingy I have a plum skater style dress almost exactly like yours from Boden ages ago....so useful.

And I’m just loving wearing my coats now. I’ve realized that I have a collection of similar styles.......like my red Zara, I love a fitted, singly breasted combie (?) coat . I have a blackberry shorter length from Jigsaw, a very old camel from Massimo Dutti, a navy from CoS and my new red one. Works for me.

I was wondering whether one of Uniqlo’s thin down filled gilets would fit under my coats for much colder weather? I think they’re advertised as being warm but not bulky....anyone tried this?

Longislandicetee · 02/11/2018 22:13

Viva, sorry to hear that all is still not well with dh {{hugs}}

Blair, gorgeous picture of miniBlair on facebook this week. I agree that when you're in between sizes or have put on a little bit then dresses are definitely the way to go. Other than my stretchy jeans, I dressed in stretchy dresses for the 18 months following my operation as they had slightly more give than anything else. I loved all the links by the way especially the sparkly top but it would accentuate my boobs way too much!

Lib, i haven't bought the bag or the scarf yet. Both sat in my "basket". I am away on holiday for 2 weeks at Christmas so could probably justify it but still hesitating!

This week, I have been wearing my wool Burberry coat that dh bought for me as a present a few years ago with a classic Burberry scarf. I only wear it for about 6 weeks of the year, but i love it. It makes my work outfits feel very pulled together even with the casual Mulberry Mitzy hobo bag that i have been using.

This onesiee and this onesiee have been my main purchases this week

Viva I am so very sorry. Stick around here though. Always around to support and do fun fashion chat to take your mind off things.
Blair step away from the cashmere until after the pukey stage Grin. Maybe that's past already? Your FB pic was just adorable :)
Off to Liberty today for my mid life crisis piercing Grin I'm a bit scared.

Good luck Shop
And I agree, Viva, so sorry to hear but stay here, it’s a happy place xxxx

shopafrolic · 03/11/2018 16:41

Piercing done. V happy. Dealt with the pain with lunch and fizz at our last MU venue (not the same without you all) and then went to the new Sushi Samba in Covent Garden which was fabulous. Heading back now to meet DH and DS for Thai food.

shop can't wait to see a pic! I bet it looks fab. Maybe I am being naive about the cashmere Grin we've had some pukey moments but nothing major for a few weeks. I just want some really warm things to wear when we go to France for Christmas, staying with in laws in their 400 year old house. Perhaps I'll look at Uniqlo?

Stokey thanks for the Hush suggestion, think I will see if my local john lewis stocks them as I'm tired of sending back things I order online. I don't seem to get on with Stories dresses, they are far too long and don't fit right.

Blingy that coat is so gorgeous!

Yes Dry I think the gilet would definitely work under coats. I wore my sleeved version again today and they really are good - they have 2 zipped pockets on the outside and 2 larger ones inside, which I've found are the perfect size for nappies and a half empty packet of wipes Grin

MarshaBradyo · 03/11/2018 18:29

Blair I found everything fine until weaning then it was sticky hands everywhere. I wear my Marant and Rag&Bone sweaters a lot now and miss wearing the cashmere but will get back to it. So i don’t think you’ll be weaning at Christmas? And should be fine

DryWhiteagainW · 03/11/2018 23:22

Oh thanks Blair I may order one

libertyonhertravels · 04/11/2018 08:29

Happy birthday to shop and Yves!

Marsha that's a very good point re weaning, thanks! It feels like ages away but I'm sure it will come around quickly. I bet you can't believe DD is not far off 1

Longislandicetee · 04/11/2018 12:13

Happy birthday Shop and Yves!! Wishing you both a fantastic day! X

MarshaBradyo · 04/11/2018 12:37

Oh my gosh I just did my first run. I’ve been doing yoga (with Adriene) every day and that is pure kindness of course. I felt euphoric on first half with my old running play list - love it (may have sung a bit I was so emotional and happy 😂) second half well what do they say about lapping people on the sofa ;

Blair I know! It’s incredible, it has gone so quickly. Your Ds is sooo cute and adorable

Happy birthday Shop and Yves! CakeWineFlowers

FedupNagging · 04/11/2018 13:52

Happy birthday Shop & Yves, hope you're both having fab days. Shop dying to know what piercing you have?

Viva sorry things are still rough for you - as pp's said, stick around, let fashion and frivolity distract you for a moment. I've got my paws on the M&S advent calendar too but have hidden it as last year I opened all the doors in one fell swoop way before December 1st Grin

Dry I read your description of that lady and thought that's something I'd wear. I'm getting lots of love for the flatforms each time I wear them.

Blair nice purchases - the Warehouse sparkle knit is just what I've been after so will pop in store asap. (Like you am fed up of continually returning clothes) Ds2 was the most sicky baby ever, for ages and then a mega dribbler! I didn't really wear anything nice around the house for years! Anyway, your ds is absolutely scrumptious.

Has anyone been to Cheshire Oaks? Wondering if it's worth a visit as we're in the vague vicinity.

kittyhello · 04/11/2018 15:52

Happy birthday Shop & Yves and belated happy birthday to another Vogue lady. xx

shopafrolic · 04/11/2018 16:00

Fedup see that teeny tiny piece of bling in the middle of my ear? It's that one. It's a Rook Tash piercing apparently - who knew? Grin

Love it shop, can't wait to see what you get next!

Thanks fedup and marsha, he is indeed all those things Grin

Fedup the Warehouse top isn't actually a knit and doesn't have much stretch, so see what you think if you can find it in store. It is lovely though!

Well done Marsha, that sounds great! The weather has been so nice too. I can't see myself getting back into running any time soon as I'm not a natural runner, but I've been doing the post pregnancy workout programme on the Sweat app for 3 weeks now. It feels so good to do something active after not being able to for so long!

shopafrolic · 04/11/2018 17:33

You know that ear will be covered eventually Blair Grin

OP posts:
MarshaBradyo · 04/11/2018 19:09

That sounds good Blair might check it out, do you have to pay?

I’m obsessing over the jogger chassis for the Bugaboo. I just can’t spend that much combined on a pram but it would mean I could run (free) in the day and not bug dh so much to exercise. Just so expensive. Gnnn

Also I’m not sure how easy it is to run with one. Has anyone tried it?

Looks great Shop

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/11/2018 19:13

Happy birthday Shop! love the piercing, i've been thinking of having some more but just can't decide what i want so haven't had any done as yet. I have two lobe and the daith done on each side up to now

justasecond · 04/11/2018 19:31

Happy Birthday shop and Yves if you are reading! Hope you had a great day.
I like the piercing shop looks so good with your new haircut.

Viva sorry to hear things are no better, really hope you can turn a corner soon Flowers

blair love the warehouse sparkly top, will go with lots. I found weaning the worst for clothes too especially the weetabix sneezes!

queenc you are so kind, you made my day! xxx

bernice I like the look of those straight leg jeans although I would want them longer than on the model. I am after some to wear with my zara cowboy boots so that the boot goes under the jeans but at the same time not be too flappy. I ordered these zara slim fit jeans if they are a no will check out yours.

Ouch Shop! Totally worth it though, looks fab

QueenCyan · 05/11/2018 09:43

Happy belated birthday to the vogue twins Cake.
shop ouchy but worth it
blair when you start weaning do not in any circumstances wear your or put ds in best clothes especially when dealing with anything carrot/sweet potato/butternut squash/tomato related. Everything ends up with orange stains!

I’ve been away on a city break this weekend and wore my new coat. Felt really chic for me! I didn’t wear it take the velvet top in tne end as it has a tie bit on the side and annoyingly doesn’t sit well under a coat. It’ll be more of an indoor only top! I need a new hat as for some reason the one I wore itched me like crazy which has never happened before!!

Inset day today so trying to catch up on home/school admin and then catch up on here properly.

Dreamqueen · 05/11/2018 15:34

Ear bling looks great Shop

Loads on here to catch up on. It sounds like some of you have managed to find some great things in the very dreary autumnal ranges. My only purchase ia a M&S advent calendar.
