Only wearing dresses?

Curious whether anyone here only wears dresses? I love the feel of dresses and live in them for most of the summer and thinking of continuing this into the colder months. I have some lovely casual dresses I can wear with boots and tights. Obviously this is excluding things like exercising/ gardening/ decorating

I only own dresses. Have a few pairs of leggings which I wear with long tunics which are basically dresses lol
They are so much more comfortable than trousers for me as im pear shaped.
I do wear flat ankle boots with dresses. With tights usually but have worn them bare legged in autumn and spring. I think cowboy boots can look nice with summer dresses sometimes.

@PlaymobilPirate I'm 5ft tall, I own this tunic in regular length and wear it as a dress. They don't do petite. It hits just above my knee and the sleeves aren't too long. It's too short to wear for work my job necessitates conservative clothing but it's good for summer without tights or winter with tights.

I'm not a Boden cheerleader, it's just that I've been looking at the site today so it's fresh in my mind.

I'm off to find dresses under £40 now...

PurpleNailVarnish · 11/09/2018 23:39

@VanGoghsDog I know what you mean about Boden being odd on you, I have brands I can't wear.

Under £40 and if you sign up to Gap emails they always have discounts or money off.

I own this, I've worn it with a belt and flats

reduced midi wrap dress

maxi dress

ruffle dress

casual floral shirt dress

sleeveless dress

Any good for starters?

@pumpkinyael I'm so short that finding a maxi dress that isn't too long is a rare and beautiful thing.
I agree that flat ankle boots with a dress aren't good but I still wear them together sometimes, just for a dash to the supermarket when I'm not being fancy.

@PurpleNailVarnish
Thanks for the links. I love that simple Gap dress, I always forget about Gap!

PurpleNailVarnish · 12/09/2018 11:04

I like Gap, they're good value; reasonably priced and the quality is fair. They also do a range of sizes.

@PurpleNailVarnish

You are an enabler! I really don't need any more dresses, but I have ordered two of those Gap ones. I think one might be too long (I tend to wear dresses for work and think long look a bit too informal) and the other wrap one might gape, but we'll see, I like the styles.

The plain t-shirt style one is no good for apple shapes, it would stick to my tummy and ride up and get too short.

I ordered a top too, then I stopped looking. I rarely go into Gap any more, there isn't one near me and they are a bit jumble saley.

What colour tights and boots with a navy dress please?

I usually wear navy tights and shoes/boots (you'd wear all black why not all navy?) but you can easily mix black and navy, you just need to make it look deliberate by having more than one item in black. Or if you have brown accessories that will look more on trend than black this season.

I wear the dreaded flat ankle boots with dresses the whole time, they look fab with maxis or minis. Wouldn't wear with a midi admittedly but I am quite short, if I was average height I would.

PurpleNailVarnish · 12/09/2018 18:03

VanGoghs you are an enabler Grin^^
I consider that a compliment.

Dresses with Chelsea boots is a standard look for me!
