Why? Nothing bad has been said :) You are kind and nice and the person buying it will love it.

hee hee…. I am excited for you to get your parcel too!!!! So I can see all the lovely things in real life. :)

Watchingtheworldgoby · 16/08/2018 10:34

How do you sell on eBay?

I have lots of Hush stuff I’d like to sell including a jumpsuit that still has the price tag on it, a light grey star knit jumper, a ruched blue and black skirt with matching colour blue T-shirt, a floral midi with the tag on and lots more! I have read stories of buyers saying they didn’t receive the posted items and the seller has to refund them? Does PayPal cover these costs? If I send by registered mail, the cost will be prohibitive to selling them!

ilovecherries · 16/08/2018 10:35

I was a bit Shock at that thread where the op said she was fed up of leopard. I just love it, and it goes with so much. I have boots from Boden, tee from Hush, maxi from Hush, coat (fabric not fur though) from Sosander and the utility jacket from OtherStories. I do only wear one item at a time, but I love all of them. I do prefer either the natural leopard or a grey/black mix, not quite so keen on it in other colours, but dread the day when MN officially decrees me too old (probably did that years ago Grin)

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 10:43

You are NEVER too old for a bit of leopard. As for the other thread. Everyone has an opinion on what they like/don't like. I was also a bit Hmm but tbh, some people like yellow/don't like yellow. There will always be a variety of tastes. Not everyone likes everything and inevitably when you get a post like that all the leopard haters come out. Its not representative.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 10:46

Selling on ebay is easy. It takes practice. Ive been doing It for years now. Maybe 11 years? On and off. Mostly on though. Start with a few things. List them at auction with the starting price the minimum you will accept. Have the listing end on a Monday/Tuesday around 8pm or after but not any later than 9:00. Not end on a Thurs/Friday or weekend. Sunday evening not too bad. Always send recorded. Its £4.45 and put the price in the cost of the item or at least some of it and there you go.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 10:49

For example if a cardigan you are selling for £4.99 starting price - add the cost of the postage into it. 4.99 + 4.45 and sell for £9.50

SillyLittleBiscuit · 16/08/2018 10:49

I'm collecting midnight Amie's, the midnight and marl raglan sleeve t-shirt and the Zebra joggers this evening.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 10:50

Or should say start the bidding at that.

ilovecherries · 16/08/2018 10:51

world, I’ve only had three buyers say they didn’t receive an item in the last 6 months. In one case it had been signed for, the buyer insisted not by her, and the second eventually found it way back to me after three months. I did refund both, because it’s better for me to do that than have paypal find against me - and they will - but in both cases recovered my money from RM. The third time RM still had it at the delivery office, waiting for the buyer to collect. It’s a nuisance, but it’s life. I send everything second class signed for, and always upload the tracking number. That insures the item up to £50. I won’t combine postage if that brings the total to more than £50, as RM won’t pay out then. If a single item sells for more than £50, I’m usually so pleasantly surprised that I’m willing just to spring for the e tea postal insurance myself. There is an ebay board on MN that’s really helpful. There is also a FB Hush selling page, which I like. Don’t usually sell for quite as much but you do avoid ebay fees.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 10:54

I have to say this, I have sent all my items first class signed for or maybe second class signed for and NEVER had anything go missing. Yes, in 11 years. RM have strict rules about posting things.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 10:56

The only issue I had was when I sent something using Hermes. It was a set of heated hair rollers. They broke them to pieces [ they were incased in a plastic container to heat them] I had to refund and she ended up having to throw them away. It was a ridiculous process to claim back from Hermes. You needed all sorts of non sensical things.

ilovecherries · 16/08/2018 10:57

Yes, you’re absolutely right, never. Leopard polarises in the way a colour doesn’t though. No one insults anyone for wearing green, but leopard is fair game for ageism/misogyny. I’m thinking maybe I need the leopard Amies in my life.

ilovecherries · 16/08/2018 11:03

I sold a plus size linen and silk top a few weeks back. It was a designer brand made for the high street. I think it cost me about £89 five years ago. It sold for well over £100, having started it at £24.99. I was a bit surprised! I never had any issues with ebay in the olden days, when buyers used to send you cheques, and you waited for them to clear. Or used NoChex (don’t even know if that exists any more). Always used to sell all the kids stuff. Had a couple of years off, but started again last year. It has so far funded my hush addiction!

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 11:07

Seething right now about Amazon. Ordered something for my ds for doing odd jobs around the house and it was next day delivery. I have prime. Looked it up today to see when it might arrive and the f*ckers have changed it to tomorrow. He will be so disappointed. I know there is a huge thread on prime but this is the first time they have changed the delivery date after I have ordered. Excuse the bad language but seriously pissed off.

Talisin · 16/08/2018 12:28

The raw edge black mini has finally arrived and despite having to order a size smaller than I wanted, it fits! Reviews said it was larger on the waist and smaller on the hips which suited me but it also turns out to be a lot stretchier than I thought. So pleased - I thought for sure it would be going straight back Smile

Now for the new stuff, no dispatch notice as yet.

Brummiegirl15 · 16/08/2018 12:30

Not been on the thread in a while (as skint as end of mat leave) but any Midlands peeps, Hush is now in JL Solihull!!! Was only previously in the Birmingham store before.

Tried on the Dylan stripe trousers but they weren't really me. I nearly tried the Ivy dress, but being a short arse with big boobs I don't think it will suit me - but kicking myself now for not trying.

I do like the faces t-shirt, but it wasn't in JL. Anyone bought? I'm tempted by the 10% discount it has to be said

Luckylollies · 16/08/2018 12:35

Anyone order the Geena checked skirt? I’m about to confirm an order for the navy Lisa jumper, black flocked star tee and the Geena skirt but dithering on size. I’m a 10-12 and Hush being big, I normally size down but worried this might be too tight as description says fitted at waist. (Sizing chart says size 10 is 68cm waist and no way am I that!)

Also their shipping notice (following the online order confirmation)seems to be hit and miss. Last few orders I haven’t received shipping email notice even after they’ve shipped with tracking. Had to call CS to get it via phone. Has anyone else had this problem?

ilovecherries · 16/08/2018 12:43

lollies, I rarely get dispatch notifications any more. Didn’t matter so much while they were doing Hush friends, but really annoying when they aren’t. My refund notifications also usually arrive about a week after the refund has been made. I now always go through PayPal, simply because you get a notification from them straight away.

ilovecherries · 16/08/2018 12:44

That’s annoying, never. Less and less does prime mean next day any more, I’ve had several recently where it’s changed in transit.

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 12:48

Lovely chats everyone
Last sale drop pics, I’m sending a bunch of stuff back including the pleated skirt (changed my mind about how to style/versatility and will investigate Next instead)
Just need to make decision on which of these two summer jumpers to keep. Not sure which one I prefer...like them both tbh so which is more flattering?
You’ll have to excuse the lack of styling but feeling a bit fed up with the nasty boot and it’s a lot of effort changing clothes so just thrown in with jeans I’m wearing today

Well I was raging cherries so sent them a snotty email and they admitted it was their fault and have given me a £5 credit on my account. So I suppose my ds will be happy with the extra but not really the point. They were very very grovelingly apologetic. They also said that it didn't make up for the delayed delivery and my disappointed son.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 12:51

Like both. They both have nice things about them. I like the colour of the cream one. Like the stripes and the frayed edge - kind of summery. I love the black. Love the fringed edge very much. If it were me it would be down to what I would wear the most. Most likely the black. Its more versatile. What does your head say [ and not your heart]?

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 12:52

cherries for you the peekaboo top under a plain v neck jumper, it would look miles better if I could be bothered to style with a nice skirt/shoes but you get the idea I hope. I also took a pic with it alone but a bit shy of posting because i never wear it on its own and cleavage shy but if you want me to take a pic of it on a table or something similar happy to oblige
