Hello all - new thread to keep us going for the AW18 collection.

I do actually have a gorgeous faux fur jacket from M&co

it is lovely though and so soft .. sz 12and it fits ! I've just tried it on as its in the cupboard here in my 'study' downstairs spare bedroom. the MV one is still a bit small.

Its beautifully made and has a silky lining and the hood is amazing. I wore it when it was super cold and its amazingly warm.

Ilove - seems to me like for years for you clothes were mainly functional. About whether it covered you/kept you warm/kept you cool. And now you are finding your new style, a bit like after having kids or retiring or any major lifestyle change. The other women aren’t right, you aren’t wrong. If you went in to a 6th form college not everyone is dressed the same but loads of them look good. So why would there be only one stylish way of covering a body your age? My DM is 66 and has been seriously overweight from my early memories of her until about ten years ago. It’s took her years to find a style which made her comfortable in her own skin. She’s got some health issues and is eternally cold but she rocks a look - she is so damned funky, trainers, chunky sandals or mid length boots, oversized tops, fitted trousers, loads of layering and an extreme crop which is now silver grey. She doesn’t dress like a typical 66 yo but she always looks appropriate (not to mention cool as heck).

Talking of beautiful coats.. look at this beauty. I already have a similar one but mine is not as luxurious and gorgeous as this. I have to say I think the red coat and the black fur coats are absolutely beautiful, I would totally be indulging if I had the funds. Can’t wait to see the pics of your red coat never.

Well if I really like it and cant bear to be without it I will be selling stuff on ebay to fund it!!! [nothing new there!]

I’ve been inspired by you lot by the way - I have a wardrobe full of clothes which are excellent quality, good brands but I don’t wear as they don’t fit my life. I’m going to eBay and invest in stuff which I will wear. Mainly from hush.

That's the thing, I don't thing I would wear a leopard coat. For me, faux fur is full on as it is. For me a leopard coat would be to OTT for me. I definitely wouldn't wear it - like the leo coat on hush website last year. Beautiful but just too much for me and definitely fantasty lifestyle for me.

The boden coat is lovely and not OTT at all. But for me I would feel forever too dress up.

You are all lovely :). Thanks Porpoise. We should have ALL the coats. I have this one from last year which was my first new-me purchase. I bought it in an 18 but four months later I was far too big and never worn. As it was a stock item Sosander allowed me to exchange for a 12. I am SO going to wear it this year.

That is gorgeous cherries I actually really like that one. Even better than the boden one. It would feel less dressed up than a faux fur one. Y Y to that one.

@ilovecherries you look great in your Hush outfits. I am a big believer of wearing what makes you feel good rather than what you think you should wear for your age. Sometimes I probably dress too young but I don't care anymore.
