Honestly, I don’t have a clue! I mean, I like them, have no idea if they are the right fit though. Love the trousers, and I have a charcoal v neck cashmere that I will collect the next time I’m home, which I think will go well with them.

ilovecherries · 18/08/2018 17:17

We stopped for posh coffee on the way home this afternoon, as I was chilled to the bone with the rain up the damn mountain. It was one of those naive, slightly twee tea rooms that are all over the Lake District, and full of women my age having coffee with friends. Not one was dressed like me. I mean, they were all expensively, even elegantly, dressed, they hadn’t given up in any sense, but I was aware that I don’t dress like that, which sent me down the age-appropriate spiral again. I think the thing is I haven’t evolved into my dress sense. It was so limited for so long and I always worry that I’m wearing the wrong things now simply because they fit me, when they didn’t before.

ilovecherries · 18/08/2018 17:18

Naice. Autocorrect didn’t like that word.

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 17:19

Ella I hadn't noticed your photo of the M&S leggings when I posted above that I liked the Hush ones better .. yours are really much nicer in RL than on their website.. (.. but I cant send my hush ones back now .)

MissBobbins that combo looks really good on you , keep it. I have the french blue top from last year , they do wash well and ive found keep their shape

ilovecherries · 18/08/2018 17:21

No, I didn’t pay for it, they just arrived. I have noticed before though that postie here is very good at dropping late mail in on his way home, although even Monday would have been quick.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:21

Cherries Age appropriate? Honestly- you look great in everything you have shown us. Nothing you have shown has been inappropriate. I cant imagine that you are inappropriate in anything you are wearing. You are 60. Not 90!
Just out of curiosity, what did they have on?

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 17:22

age-appropriate spiral .. No such thing Cherries.. dont doubt yourself .. you look fab!

and this 60 yr old has been wearing black denim shorts and Hibiscus washed T all day and no bra, but then I havent been out

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 17:24

I love those black denim shorts and wish I had bought them earlier in the season now

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:24

In any case - a twee café. Well there you have it. Full of twee people [except you of course]

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:25

They are one of my faves too Laska
Ordered the red faux fur jacket btw.
Should come Tuesday but cant pick up until after 3pm

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:26

Not really planning to keep but er..had to try it. I hope its horrible.

ilovecherries · 18/08/2018 17:27

Lots of slim leg navy or camel trousers, white shirts and v necks. Flat shoes, but it was raining. Jaegar raincoats and silky scarves draped over the back of the chairs. Neat, tidy, unobtrusive jewellery. It’s awell-heeled area, and they all looked ‘good’. I heard a couple talking about work, so not retired. I was of course wearing foul weather walking gear, so no direct comparison made but even when I’m working, I look less... structured, I guess.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:28

I'll tell you im bloody freezing and my feet are like ice. Off to google hush slippers!! [only kidding] can't afford it!!

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 17:30

Oh wow never I do love it but i know that it would probably be a 'fantasy lifestyle' purchase for me and just become one of the jackets i have bought that I wouldn't actually wear much ..
cherries you are NOT twee and neither do you want to be ( well I hope not!) ...Those sort of places are good for cake ( but sadly not LC stuff) but definitely not for fashion advice

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:30

Well I knew bloody camel would be involved. Yes its the over 60's uniform. Especially where I live. Hair to perfection, camel trousers, shoes from hotter, nice t-shirt with a bit of detail and a cardi.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:31

Well exactly Laska Fantasy lifestyle but then I though quite nice paired down with jeans and trainers....

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:32

well I have images of a nice tee under it, skinny jeans and either boots or chunky trainers.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:33

Or for work with my wide leg navy trousers, tee and faux fur jacket for a pop of colour.

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 17:36

Fantasy Jackets confession .. I have in my cupboard ( where it has been for 3/4 years ) a Top Shop 'Kate Moss' , pale beige suede fringed jacket.. which cost over £200 and has only been worn once Blush and a Mint Velvet dark grey leather biker jacket DH bought me because I asked or it for my birthday which i have again only worn once and now is too small for me .. i am aiming to get back into it again though

EachandEveryone · 18/08/2018 17:36

Do you think Madonna worries about being age appropriate?Smile

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 17:38

.... this one.. Blush.. Now is THAT age appropriate?

Hush AW18 continued...
neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:39

I actually remember you on mumsnet buying that jacket laska [ The kate moss one] It looked lovely. Why not sell on ebay?
Fantasy jacket for me was the all saints one that I bought from Selfridges. I don't feel right in biker jackets. I would love a leather jacket though of some sort. I can never find one that I like. I sold my all saints on ebay. I got what I paid, which was fine.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 17:40

Its beautiful Laska

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 17:41

Really never? it was sometime ago ..

ilovecherries · 18/08/2018 17:43

It’s gorgeous, Laska. If you don’t like it, get it on ebay with a decent start price and spend the money on leopard ;)
